Lunch at Michele’s is great. Pizza is 8 out of 10. Sauce is little sweet with good flavor. I order special of the day much as I could to try them all. Service is very good and no issues so far.

Real local food. No lies here. Pizza and sub’s are good and Michelle cooks dinners Thursdays. Homemade ham pot pies etc. The only concern is the condition of the building. Repairs are desperately needed

Great service. They make their own bread dough and red sauce. Great prices. A family place of great value. Two thumbs up.

Good pizza, even if it weren’t in Central PA. One of the things I miss now that I’ve moved away. Great place to get breakfast too. I do admit I’m not a fan of their salads and I don’t like cheesesteaks from Central PA in general. They also have more home cooking style meals not normally found in a pizza joint. Staff and owner very friendly.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat on a random trip to State College. My fiancé has been here before and bragged about the pizza being good, so I was excited to try it for myself. The restaurant itself is very modest, and so clean! The staff is extremely friendly, and it seemed like everyone knew everyone. There was a couple sitting near us, and I caught a peek of a sub(looked to be Italian), and the bread looked so good that I wanted to order some to take home with me. The only thing that stopped me from ordering the sub was my extreme paranoia of thick lunchmeat on a sub… I prefer thin deli sliced lunchmeat. I couldn’t see what they had, so I decided against the sub. I ordered a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni pizza. They were making a new pizza, so when it came out, I was good and hungry. On sight, I could tell this pizza was going to be good. The crust was thin, but soft, and there was just enough sauce and cheese on the top. The amazing part of this pizza is its not greasy… you can tell(still, just on sight) that quality ingredients are used. The top had oregano I believe on it, which I’m not crazy about, but it definitely didn’t affect this pizza negatively! Let me get to the taste of this pizza… HEAVEN. I’m from Northern New Jersey, the land of pizzerias and Italian restaurants, and this pizza definitely was ranked up there. The sauce was the first flavor that hit me… a perfect blend of tomato and a sweetness that was sugar, but not in a ‘take away from the pizza’ type of way. The cheese… definitely real mozzarella, none of that fake stuff here. The crust was fantastic, perfect flavor and fluffiness. I had to order another slice to truly fulfill my stomach’s desire for this pizza, and this slice was cooked a little longer, so it was crispier to my desire. I also used the restroom here, and it may seem silly, but being 5 months pregnant I’m a little particular about restrooms. There was soft toilet paper in the restroom, and it was very clean! I’ve never met Michele, but I’m giving her 2 thumbs up! You can tell the staff here genuinely care about the product they put out. I can’t wait to drive the hour and a half to have some more pizza from here!

During our new years trip we went to Michele’s OIP(Original Italian Pizza… for all of us who are not familiar with this acronym). It was moderately priced. Service was courteous and efficient. I ordered a cheese steak with marinara on the side and my girlfriend got the fried fish sandwich with extra tartar sauce which came with a healthy portion of crispy french fries. The bread was soft and seasoned and didn’t fall apart or hinder the eating of the sandwich as some stiff breads can. The french fries were blanched to ensure a crispiness that was so delicious we told our friends whom we were vacationing with to stop in the next day for lunch. Some diners can leave you with that sick feeling in your gut from overly greasy fried foods. Michele’s is not one of those diners. We saw regulars and families coming in to enjoy a nice warm meal in their favorite local restuarant. I recommend you sit on the side section which overlooks the flowing river. If you’re lucky you can see some mallards resting on the banks. We had a great meal and the waitress was kind and patient with all her customers. Everyone had a smile on their face and the atmosphere was relaxed and calming. We would definitely go here again.

This OIP is named Michelle’s. I moved from the Philadelphia area where there is a plethora of Italian food choices done well. I was relieved when I found Michelle’s. There pizza is consistently great. The staff is always friendly. I always have the number two(2 eggs, bacon, toast, and french toast or pancake) on the menu and always enjoy it. The owner Michelle is an absolute sweetheart and is dedicated to making customers happy. Highly recommended!

Average Italian-American fare. They make a good Buffalo chicken sub and decent pizza. At least one nice waitress! Small but with a cozy feel at a nice location.
