Local café with very friendly service. Western omelet was great with fresh homemade toast. Ruben sandwich with fresh bread was more than filling. A good«off the road» stop.

Bad bad bad and so bad. I went in and ordered breakfast and sticky buns. They had a little breakfast buffet set up at the time. I had my phone with me and I took a picture of some of the food. I always do this everywhere I go. People usually laugh at me but I never thought it was offensive. So the waitress was watching me with a death stare lol. She ran into Tue kitchen and got a grizzly looking cook. He came to my table and told me he didn’t want to see my phone out again and pictures weren’t appreciated. I stopped taking pictures to avoid the conflict. About 10 minutes later I got a text and picked up my phone. The waitress ran up to my table with a large Styrofoam container and scrapped all of my breakfast in the container and told me to leave. It was shocking. I felt like I was in a bad movie or something

Got two eggs over medium with home fries, bacon and wheat toast. Split a sticky bun. One of the better breakfasts that I’ve had in a while! Surprisingly good potatoes and homemade bread. Still-warm sticky bun was sublime. Prices were very reasonable. highly recommended!

Glad we stopped. coming back from penn state. Great owner. Exceptional sticky buns and the best patty melt ever. They make their own bread and it made the sandwich taste even better

Literally the best sticky buns I’ve ever had… Even better than grandma’s. You will never feel as valued by a restaurant owner and staff as you will at this place. Food is amazing, service is great, atmosphere is warm and inviting. Best breakfast place in town, hands down.

The other place I like to go for breakfast. Famous for, you guessed it, home made sticky buns and other baked goods. Solid breakfast menu. Lunch and dinner about as good as anything else in the area, but that’s not much of a compliment. Owner is super nice and staff is also friendly. Showed up an hour before they opened once to see if they were open, and owner spotted us and I invited us in.

Stopped into the Sticky Bun today for lunch. I really enjoyed this place. It’s small, but homey and the waitress was super nice and did a great job. The patty melt was the special for the day so I decided to have that. While it was a lot like any patty melt you get anywhere, I really enjoyed it and I really liked seeing the interaction with the customers and the waitress. It was clear they were regulars and always happy with their food. Although I usually don’t get dessert, I couldn’t resist at this place. I ended up taking some to go. Yes more than one! Everything looked so good and made in house so I loaded up the fridge. They had cream puffs. I’ve not seen homemade cream puffs anywhere forever so I had to get two. The were HUGE. I didn’t realize else one would have been more than enough. I’ll be eating on those for a few days. I also got a piece of sugar cookie cake that was amaze balls. I finished it up with a piece of chocolate layer cake with peanut butter icing. All are so good. I can’t wait to go back and try more things!

They are known for their sticky buns which I recommend ordering. They make a ot of their own baked goods. Even the toast that was served with breakfast was homemade.

Oh ma! I love this place. I really have nothing bad to say about it. Here is what to expect along with a tip or two. Great service. Great ownership. Food is perfectly cooked and reasonably priced. This is diner style food as it is cooked. But it is in a homestyle fashion meaning not as greasy. The atmosphere is small and homey. At 36, I am typically the youngest person at a table. The real treat are the desserts. This place has the best sticky buns and whoopie pies in town. I also recommend the breakfasts but it is fairly hard to screw up a breakfast. I love this restaurant for everything it is and is not. It is a great local small town country restaurant and while many people swear by the Honey Creek Inn, I favor this one for its variety and baked goods.

I really like this place, but I like diner/country comfort food. I loved the homemade wheat toast that came with my eggs, homefries and scrapple platter, which was $ 5.35. And you can get breakfast all day, which I love. The coconut cake was awesome, and you can get homemade whoopie pies and cookies as big as your head. The chicken and waffle special is pretty good on Wednesdays, the waffles have a nice light, fluffy texture.

This is a local favorite with many items on the menu that are common in Mifflin county. What stands them apart from other country restaurants in the area are their homemade sticky buns, breads, and desserts. If you like homemade bread, their homemade wheat toast is a really good! They are not open Sundays. Also, they have daily specials that the locals enjoy such as ham pot pie, chicken and waffles and fried haddock. That type of food is not to my liking, but very popular around here.

Great breakfasts, I haven’t tried anything else. The sticky buns are a meal unto themselves so be prepared to take one home if ordered on the side. Good, friendly service. Small place with lots of parking.

First things first: the sticky buns are excellent. In fact, I put them in the top five that I’ve ever had. Large, soft, gooey but not disgustingly sugary… mmm. Get them with nuts. The menu is standard diner/country breakfast grub, but they make it taste good without excess grease. I didn’t care for the toast, which was thick and light which made it seem too dry, even stale. The orange juice has an artificial taste to it. The service is satisfactory, and the interior is a quaint, pleasant country theme.
