I’ve been here many times for brunch, but today they missed the mark. The pastry platter was skimpy consisting of 8 pieces, and the muffin(still half frozen) was cut into four. It was the first time I encountered this. The fritatta was average at best. The waiter said the chef was having an off day, but if I were a first time diner, I would not been impressed. Spoke with the manager, and he assured us that things would be better next time.

The food was OK, the service was OK, but not at a price of $ 70.00 per person. The pasta was over cooked, not al dente, would not go back again.

Broken sauce on the veal meatballs. No flavor. They need a better chef. Service was good. Bar pours are $ 13.00 a piece. There are a lot better place to eat on Rehoboth.

Four of us went to Zebra during restaurant week. We go there several times a season, so we are pretty familiar with the place. I just have to say we were all really disappointed. The service was super slow and the bill was a total bust. The only thing we could decide was that the restaurant must have doubled the price of the alcohol. No more dinners at Zebra for us. It is nit worth the money!

The best value brunch in all of Rehoboth! We sat outside on the porch, it was just delightful. Bright, breezy and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The food was amazing; there were four us, and we ordered the following: Eggs Benedict French Toast Omelette Pesto Ravioli(and a Bloody Mary) Between ordering and the meal being served, the waiter brought a basket of warm pastries — they were fresh, light and a good assortment. This is by far the BESTVALUE brunch in town. Where else can four adults go in this town and be able to dine in exceptional food with exceptional service, in a lovely atmosphere, for around $ 15 a head. If I could reserve the round table on the porch every week, I would!!! Easily 5 stars for brunch!

Nice atmosphere for a first date. A Bit overpriced but great flavor. Have not been here for a long time and I’m a local. My friend enjoyed her first time @ Zebra. 3 course fixed menu was the best deal $ 35.00. Nice pour on the Wine by glass.

I ate here last season and it was excellent. This time it was flavorless. The pasta with mushrooms and truffle oil lacked any seasoning or flavoring. For $ 30 I was expecting so much more.

Service was attentive. Carpaccio appetizer was very good. The Saltimbocca was very tough and salty. Not great! My husband had the veal marsala and it was prepared well. The side vegetables were very slim. Only one asparagus, two small roasted red potatoes and three haricot verts. We will come back and try again. Has potential…-

I am so glad I never checked the reviews on this restaurant, otherwise I probably would gave never gone and missed a wonderful dining experience. We had a party of 3 on a Tuesday evening, had no trouble parking and we were promptly seated at a lovely porch table. Only complaint was the view of the construction across the street and the occasional cloud of dust that would kick up when a car passed by going beyond a reasonable speed limit girl these tiny streets! Service was impeccable from the moment we arrived, with just the tight amount of checking in with us, refilling water and wine glasses, clearing the table etc. I had a veal dish and while the veal was wonderfully tender the sauce was just ok. Other dining companions had rockfish(excellent) and a beef filet which was another home run. Portions were a little on the small side, yet were adequate. Expensive? Yes, but we felt the quality and overall experience if a more upscale dining experience was worth it and we will most definitely return on our next visit to Rehoboth.

I’ve had better Lean Cuisines. The sauce had no flavor and was equal to something you’d make in a high school cooking class. $ 25 for cheese ravioli that was slopped on the plate. Zero presentation. Zero taste. Enough said.

It’s pretty understandable that Zebra can have very mixed reviews. In some regards, I agree with almost every other post. I think it’s a hit or miss. I’ve always had great food there, but the service can make or break the night. Went there this past weekend(Labor Day) on Sunday. Food was excellent, but the service was pretty lacking, which is a big deal to me. FYI, it was 4 of us so not a big group or demanding at all. I’m pretty sure we didn’t have a real waiter but rather someone standing in as their foreign wait staff had mostly left town. Given this, the guy was pretty bad. Tried to take our order without giving us menus first and seemed annoyed with the entire operation of serving us. He never checked on us and I had to flag him down multiple times to get a refill of water. I give 4 stars as I have hope that this guy wasn’t a waiter and the rest of the regular wait staff are professionals and know what they’re doing. I also recognize that in Rehoboth, dependence on foreign staff is high and an obstacle for most businesses, but they need them for the summer. Also, the food was amazing as was the restaurant décor and ambiance. The music wasn’t too loud on this evening as one previous poster noted.

Went with my husband for dinner last night. 9 pm reservation which I was concerned about since I was told they were practically sold out, but we were seated inside a few mins early. Loved the décor and interesting people but soon realized how LOUD the noise level was in the room. We were at a table for 2 in middle of room with a party of 8 behind us in the corner. They were enjoying themselves but yelling so loud I couldn’t believe it. I’ve seen other reviews about noise level and can’t believe it’s the same rude party of 8 so there must be some inherent problem with the design that causes this problem. Perhaps it’s the large cut out«windows» in the walls? I watched a group seated after us change tables twice. The table next to us talked about leaving shortly after they were seated. Even our waiter was holding his ears and grimacing at one point. It’s too bad because the food was good. We enjoyed the mozzarella and tomatoes and z delicious asparagus, prosciutto and fontina cheese appetizer. My grilled shrimp and vegetable entrée was good and light enough for a late meal and my husband’s veal limon entrée was good. Odd though that you can only get potatoes and not pasta with entrees. Service was okay I had to ask for the glass of wine I ordered(however I appreciated the taste of wine the waiter let me sample before committing) and had to ask for some freshly ground pepper which was not offered even though pepper mill was nearby. Bread was also delicious but had to ask bread boy for another rather than being offered. The noise level would definitely keep me from returning and kept us from ordering dessert. There is outside seating available perhaps that’s the better choice.

First, review the restaurant, not the parking. We had a 7PM reservation and parked out front. Granted it was a Thursday night, but if you’re in town and it’s the weekend, it’s an easy walk from just about anywhere north of Dewey. The food was impeccable. I had a penne alla martriciana, and it was perfectly al dente. My wife had the mussels, and again, perfectly done. I had the red snapper special, and it was spectacular. She had the lobster risotto, and coming from New England, we know a good one. It was again wonderful, with an enormous amount if lobster in it. As for the service — great service includes never having to pour your own glass, so I don’t know what kinds of places the last reviewer and friends work at(I have been a server, too). Only in America are servers expected to display any kind of unique personality and be conversational. And it’s annoying to the rest of the world. So basically, the place lives up to admittedly steeper prices than the rest of town. And now you’ve been warned — walk or allow yourself lots of time to park. Enjoy!

If you like spending an obscene amount of money for piss poor Italian, this restaurant is perfect. Otherwise, go to Lingo’s, buy a box of pasta, cook it, let it cool to the point where it’s inedible, pour half a jar of Prego over it and serve it to your family. Maybe undercook a handful of mussels and toss them on top and call it ‘seafood linguine with arrabiata.’ There is a serious management problem when the customer is spending a grand and the GM refuses to sub a side salad for the house vegetable included with the main entrée. Kill yourself. Immediately. If you must go here, the clam chowder was ok. The scallops were goodish. And the eggplant was tasty. Do NOT order the veal Marsala. Chef boyardee would do a better job out of a can. Look, there are a ton of good options in Rehoboth and the surrounding areas. Go somewhere else.

First, I don’t know how this place gets any 1 star votes. Yes, it is an Italian Restaurant down the beach so if it is seafood you are interested in, while they have some look elsewhere. Food, very good. Pasta dish was great. Steaks were very good. Vegetables were lacking real substance. Desert was amazing. Atmosphere is great both outdoor and indoor. Very beautiful restaurant. My waiter service was very good. Coming from a great restaurant town like Philadelphia this place deserves 4 stars. If you must drive parking will be tough, but it is a beach town so you should expect that. I do think it was on the expensive side. We had a great time, romantic setting, very good dinner. I won’t be back for two reasons. Price was a little much and I prefer seafood or more beach like entrees. But we are glad we did it and would recommend if you are looking for Italian and nice ambiance.

I’m so lost for this review. It could be four stars, it could be 2. 3 it is. It started with the parking. Lack. Lack of parking. Lack of parking to the point that we passed the restaurant 30 minutes before our reservation, and we were still late. Permit parking only, 30 minute parking, no parking, private drive… it was a nightmare. I will say that this alone is a reason I will avoid, like the plague, ever going back again. Is this the fault of the restaurant? meeeeeh… maybe. But also this«punishment» applies to all things Rehoboth. I don’t know how a town that’s supposed to be tourist friendly can hate parking soooo much. We parked on a residential street with a sign that said Permit Only, deciding we’d just pay the ticket. We didn’t get ticketed. Arrived at 8:05 for our 8pm reservation on the deck. Table for 6 was ready. We watched our other 4 drive by 3 times looking for a spot. Did I mention parking in Rehoboth sucks? Before I start on the service, let me say it was too attentive, just the right attentive, and where the hell is our waiter all rolled into one. We ordered wine. They poured the first round and left the bottle. Every time we reached for the bottle to refill a random waiter/waitress/hostess/manager jumped on us and confiscated the bottle. They insisted on pouring. PS… 4 out of the 6 of us are waitstaff and bartenders. We can pour our own wine. Menus. Not left on the table, you had to be present to get one. When the rest of our party parked it was 10 minutes to get them menus because the waiter wouldn’t leave them. Anyway… food. Apps were all good. The vodka tortelini was the best I’ve ever had. The waiter thought I was insane when I ordered my NY Strip medium rare, no sauce, charred. Meat and a plate… thats all I want. Cook it to rare and set it on fire for a minute. Simple? Food comes. He never checked on us again. I was done my steak before he came back. A lady I presumed to be the hostess or manager was on top of our dirty dishes. All in all… it was OK. Didn’t blow my mind. For me it wasn’t good enough to deal with the parking.

After reading the mixed reviews on Unilocal,my husband and I decided to try this place. I must say, we had a great experience! We were seated right away at a lovely table for 2 on the patio, even though we did not have a reservation. Our very polite and pleasant waiter came right over and gave us menus, and told us about the specials. We ordered drinks which came out promptly. For our appetizer, we ordered the black and white pasta with shrimp and scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection. The dish was DELISH! My husband had the veal and I had the chicken with eggplant. Equally delicious. Nice ambiance, great staff, wonderful food. Will definitely be back!

Disappointing. Food was decent. Red sauce was tasty but nothing fancy — they just put several cloves of garlic in it. I guess I would classify the food here as «red sauce Italian». The service here was horrendous. It took about 15 minutes to get menus. Our waiter even tried to take our order without giving us our menus first. Our appetizer never came, and after pointing this out to the waiter, he insisted that we never ordered one, so we told him to not to bother bringing it anyway since we had already received our main courses. A few minutes later out comes our appetizer and we send it back. It’s still on the bill, however. Oh yeah, and someone in our party got the wrong dish. It took 20 additional minutes for the correct dish to come out, so our food was cold by the time we started eating. A few tables down I noticed the waiter informing the table that they had run out of the wine they ordered, but brought over another bottle of wine, uncorked it, and told them he would serve this wine instead. After serving it, he told them it would cost more. I usually don’t like to judge a place based on the service, but here it was exceptionally poor and won’t return.

We had an excellent Italian meal here, sitting in the perfect spot right on the porch. Our server was friendly and attentive and we enjoyed all aspects of our meal. To start the lamb shanks are very tasty and cooked to perfection, a perfect braise! All the pasta dishes are cooked right, try out the funghi pasta, you won’t be disappointed! Is it the BEST Italian you have ever had? No, but it sure is a great meal in a fun little beach town and lives up to the expectation of a great meal. I read some of the reviews about the service and have to say we had NO issues whatsoever.
