Is it the best pizza ever? No. Is it delicious? Yes. If obnoxious New Yorkers stay away because the pizza doesn’t live up to their(ridiculously over-inflated considering how overrated their pizza is) standards, even better.

Just went for a drink after walking on the beach and the only complain I have is that the fries were to expensive. The beer prices were adequate but $ 4.99 for a small fry is outrageous. I understand this is a beach location, but a small fry shouldn’t be that expensive. I enjoyed the food, but the only food item we got was inadequately priced. Also the thing that disappointed me was that« Unilocal» says this is a cheaply priced establishment according to the one dollar sign.

I LOVE this place! The pizza is delicious, the people are friendly. Our waiter this time around was great. I come here every time I come to Rehoboth, both because of their food and because they actually act genuinely happy to see you.

Came here for lunch during a day on the boardwalk with my family. When we entered, we were greeted and seated. Our waiter came over and introduced himself, and took our drink orders. We thumbed through the menu, and the first thing that caught our eyes were the Cheesy Beach Fries. We ended up ordering 2 personal pizzas, a stromboli, and The Grande which was a stuffed pizza that i chose to fill with bacon, spinach, and onions(THEBOMB!). Our waiter(who I forgot to mention was great) kept our drinks full, and made sure everything was on point until our entrees came out. They definitely made one hell of a first impression. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody seeking some really good food. In all I had a really great time in Rehoboth Beach, and the best part about all of this is that while writing this review I have learned that there is a Grotto Pizza only 6 miles from my house in MD, Now how about that!!! If you’re in Rehoboth Beach this spot will not disappoint, will definitely be returning some time in the not so distant future.

We went on off hours for late lunch early dinner. There was no wait and great place to sit outside. I noted other reviewers talked about prices but portions are huge. If you get one of the LARGE pizza which is stuffed with cheese and toppings you really can’t eat more than two slices. So 4 can split one pie. That and a salad and your good to go. The sodas are typical beach fare — you could take a bath in these cups They’re huge. If your looking for NY pizza with thin crust and tangy well spiced tomato sauce this isn’t it. It your looking for wood fired pizza from Napoli with fresh buffalo mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes this isn’t it either. But if you are looking for Grottos Pizza — this is a nice setting for it with pleasant efficient staff.

So I stopped in to see what all the hype was about and encountered the most friendly staff and GM. Jamie spoke with me briefly and learned about my tomato intolerance. Before I could utter another word, he offered to personally make me a specialty pizza and offered to take every precaution to keep the tomato away from my pizza. With this said, you should DEFINITELYCHECKINWITHJAMIEANDHISSTAFFATTHISLOCATION!!! The personal attention amongst the high volume of tourism on a holiday weekend was impressive!!!

Pizza is the worst I have ever seen! Compares to Elio’s frozen pizza that you purchase in the supermarket. Sauce is ketchup topped with processed cheese. Barely any cheese on the pizza. Purchased the small one for my kids and they didn’t even like it… I got the chicken pesto panini which was decent for a late night coming back from the boardwalk. Won’t be back again and not worth the $$$

This is possibly because I came to Reho as a kid and this pizza tastes like summer vacation to me but I am incapable of being within a 20 mile radius of a Grottos and NOT getting pizza. With the swirling of cheese and sauce you have to like their sauce to like their pizza so you’ll mostly find polarizing Unilocal reviews.

This review is technically for the one on the north end of the boardwalk, but that doesn’t exist on Unilocal. Grotto Pizza makes decent shore pizzas with the slightly sweet sauce and the swirl. NJ shore pizza is a bit sweeter, but this is still pretty great. The service was friendly and the price wasn’t bad — you can sign up for a rewards thing on your phone and get $ 3 off of a large pizza instantly. The place was clean, the food was good, the staff was friendly. The décor is kinda campy and goofy, but very colorful and fun, too. It was crowded and noisy, as one would expect… But none of that would keep me away.

Best pizza in the world coming from a true Italian! I’ve been eating here since I was a kid and I’m so grateful for Unilocal that I get to finally give them the stellar review they deserve! With a paucity of reviews, I’d caution you not to be dissuaded by the 3-star rating as the pizza here is definitely a solid 5-stars. If you like mushrooms, I highly recommend ordering it with extra mushrooms – it’s crazy good! There sauce is to die for and there crust is just the right amount for those carb conscious people! This is a no brainier if you’re looking for great pizza! It promises not to disappoint! Living in LA now, this is my favorite restaurant to hit when visiting my old stomping grounds!

Cheese pizza was tasty. But the place is dirty, service was just ok. Dead flies everywhere. The manager on duty was helpful, but only needed him after a lazy worker filled a broken shaker and peppers ended up everywhere. Seriously, the top obviously doesn’t screw on so you just sit it there to fall off? Lazy. Would probably get the pizza to go so will give 3 stars

Beach pizza. As for the ‘famous’ pizza, I’d say more like 2-stars, but the customer service was great; so, I’m giving an extra star. Pizza: It was weak. There wasn’t enough cheese and tasteless sauce poured over it that tasted like it came out off a can. The crust was decent. Customer Service: The service was friendly. I observed my dad wanting a refill on his soda. Technically, I don’t think refills were free, but the guy did it with no questions asked. I asked for more water, and he did so with a smile on his face.

Amazing! For starters, being able to accommodate a party of 15 at dinner hour on a Sunday evening without any wait is just phenomenal! Our server was fantastic, never had to ask for a drink refill, it was provided without even asking. The food was great. Only two people got pizza, but they were very satisfied. Since I’m on a diet, low carbs, I tried the chicken Florentine and it was great. Perfect seasoning, perfect size! What surprised me the most was the check, and not in a bad way! I was surpassed they didn’t add 18% gratuity since we had a large party. I actually don’t like when restaurants do that. If you didn’t earn that tip, then I’m not going to give it to you, however I usually tip 20% almost every waiter served meal, so they are getting jipped if it’s already added. But frankly the amount of the bill for 15 people was very inexpensive. I plan to visit this restaurant again and hopefully very soon. Highly recommend! Keep up the good work!

Went for a late night slice last night and the service was fine. I ordered a slice with mushrooms and the pizza was lukewarm and the mushrooms, not fresh, cold, the slice was very small. Guess the price – $ 3.50

So went here on a Friday night, there was only one other table in the restaurant. Our server seemed up beat and kind at first. We ordered drinks and while waiting for those, two other tables sat down. We got our drinks and ordered a pizza and wings. The wings came out in about 7 minutes, they were pretty decent but the pizza was lost! The two tables sat after us both received salads and pizza as we still waited for our pizza. We had to get up and ask after 25 minutes what was going on! The server responded, people usually get wings as a appetizer so that’s what they were put in as. haha. we responded with well why is it still taking an extra 25 min to cook a pizza? She had no answer and our pizza came out in 5 min, tasteless. The worst grotto pizza I’ve had. On top of that, the manager came over and apologized because he saw us asking what the heck was going on and said he would take care of it. We saw nothing done. I really wouldn’t recommend this location, or going in to sit down. Won’t be back.

We were staying at the Avenue and got hungry on Sunday night so we called for delivery. We ordered the 2 for $ 20 special and asked for extra sauce. That was a mistake! We have only had one grotto pizza before in gambrills and didn’t remember how much sauce they put on it. So many places don’t put much sauce on their pizza so that’s why we ask for extra sauce. It might have been ok for in restaurant eating, but mix way too much sauce with pizza delivery and you end up with pizza soup slopped all over the box. The taste was fine, nor spectacular but after several days of drinking and wanting something to snack on during off-season on a cold March night, it was ok. Delivery person was prompt and phone service good.

I understand this place makes people crazy down here, but this is just your average microwavable pizza to me, honestly. Keep on walking down the boardwalk past here folks! There’s so many different Grotto Pizzas you can try along the boardwalk, and it doesn’t matter which one you go to, they all are just ehh. The crust is soggy, and the cheese makes it greasy beyond your wildest grease filled dreams. I guess this place is just to give kids another option besides McDonald’s. With all the other amazing mom and pop options within the area, don’t follow the masses and wait on line for their take out or to eat in their restaurant. If you know what pizza is supposed to taste like, then keep the memory and don’t waste your time and money here.

Oh beach pizza. It’s like they know that thousands of hungry tourists will stop in to eat just about anything. Because laying around in the sun and splashing in the waves really does make one ravenous. We came here because it seemed like the«Rehoboth thing to do». This place was everywhere, on every corner practically. We’re familiar with OC and it’s Dough Roller, thought maybe this was DE’s «thing». How very disappointing. Flavorless crust and their trademark is sauce on top of the cheese. It was a mere«ok» and barely. $ 16 for a 16″ plain cheese. We discovered that Rehoboth has decent restaurants very close to the beach, just a 5 minute walk away, if that. I wouldn’t come back to this place again.
