I came here with a large party for dinner and I’d say my overall experience was average. The caesar salad I split with my girlfriend was generally tasty yet small, however the croutons served on our salad and on the salads of other members of my party were extremely hard and unpleasant to eat. Somewhat strangely, the complimentary bread was not given to the table in baskets but rather served one slice at a time by a waiter with tongs. I was confused why this was necessary however I wasn’t really upset given that the bread was just ho-hum anyways. My entrée was spaghetti with clams and my girlfriends was the daily ravioli special. The clams and sauce in my dish were good, however the spaghetti was undercooked to the point of being hard(certainly not al dente). My girlfriends ravioli was tasty though and cooked well. Overall her dish was much better than mine. Frustratingly, there were a large number of flies that buzzed around the restaurant(and our plates) during dinner. This is off-putting when you’re trying to eat in a moderately expensive restaurant.

Had high hopes as it sounded better than its predecessor(Café Adriatico which had occupied this space since the 1990s) and perhaps I’m too harsh a judge due to recent stellar experiences in Manhattan & San Fran. But sadly this restaurant is inferior to Nicola’s next door at prices about 75% more. Were lured in by the moderate lunch prices, but the meatballs my husband & teenager ordered were excessively salty, the teen’s pasta was well beyond any sort of al dente, and the tomato sauce which accompanied basically everything was watery and virtually devoid of flavor. My calamari(ordered app as my main course) were acceptable, so perhaps the seafood is worth exploring at dinner. On the plus side, charming & lovely waitress(who was also hostess due to only about 4 tables filled). Ricotta cheesecake(«Grandma’s recipe» according to menu) is quite fine.

I had family with me for Sea Witch Weekend. Knowing it would be a busy evening, we made reservations. Two of our party arrived in wheelchairs and we were welcomed immediately. The staff could not have been more accommodating, assuring our table was appropriate and that everyone was comfortable. I had one of my favorites, the homemade gnocchi with a meatball. My brother had the rabbit ragout, and is still talking about how good it was. Other favorites include the chicken parmesan and the lasagna. The ricotta cheesecake is an excellent dessert option. DiFebos is a perfect choice for a moderately-priced Italian dinner. Their family recipes are traditional, yet more flavorful than nearly any others. My partner and I have become regulars. The food never disappoints and the service is always attentive.

We were going to stop in at one of the less formal places in Rehoboth, but it was Black Friday and there were lines out the doors. We got one of the last available tables at DiFebos, and had an excellent Italian meal. They start you off with some fresh, hot bread. Between the two of us, we ordered a glass of merlot, an appetizer of Brussels sprouts, a dinner salad, a garden green salad and an order of spaghetti with italian sausage(I felt like comfort food). Everything was very good, and the Brussels sprouts were outstanding — a large portion of hot, roasted sprouts delicately browned in olive oil and topped with a sprinkling of parmesan and balsamic vinaigrette. $ 52 plus tip for food and service of this quality was a deal.

Difebos Rehoboth Beach location hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner on 11÷6÷15. The General Manager Laird was incredibly helpful. From planning to menu to fit our budget all the way with checking out the space to plan seating, he went above and beyond to make the event work. The night of the event went off like a dream. The staff was extremely attentive and efficient while working our group of 40 guests. The food was incredible with people raving about the Ravioli and chicken marsala as the«the best they’d ever had.» There was another event going on that evening but the entire staff made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant. I couldn’t recommend the staff, the venue or the food enough. Awesome!

A very good place for a «not your every day Italian» meal. This is the northern location for our Bethany Beach favorite. We went with high expectations on an off-season weekend night. Surprisingly, the place was nearly empty. Our meal was outstanding! Cocktails were larger than the usual, served in a water glass, rather than the more usual 5 ounces. We shared the fried calamari appetizer, which worked very nicely. The calamari was hot, tasty and lightly crispy; just as it should be, and served with red sauce and lemon for our choice. Judy had the braised short ribs special, and I got the lamb ragu off the menu. Both were well-prepared and –presented, and in sufficient portions to have some to take home for lunch(I, however, was not able to let some of mine escape). Despite this, or maybe because of it, we managed to get the pumpkin gelati dessert. It completed the savory meal with a cool, smooth flourish. Service was courteous, prompt and attentive(the place Was nearly empty). We found street parking nearby, even though the local theater was open next door. Prices are in line with the Bethany location: a little under $ 100 for everything, including tip. Our particular issue with this restaurant is that it suffers only in comparison with their other place(see«favorite» in the second sentence). The red sauce isn’t quite as spectacular. The bread wasn’t oh so tasty. The gelato didn’t quite make my taste buds dance. But that’s our problem. We had a very good meal experience, and we will be back… even if it’s only when we don’t want to make the longer trip to Bethany Beach.

We got take out. A cranky two year old just wasn’t having it for a sit down family dinner so we got dinner to go and waited with the cranky pants two year old outside on a bench. Our food was hot and fresh. I had the crab spaghetti and it was full of crabby goodness. However, I was a bit jealous of my brother’s selection of Rabbit and gnocchi. The other four selections we had for various family members were also great stuff. Why minus a star? Because for an expensive place, in our takeout bags we got no dinner rolls or bread of any kind. I understand you want to charge separate for a salad because you’re a high end kind of place but no bread with take out? Not cool DiFebo’s.

We spent the weekend in Rehoboth and ate dinner at DiFebo’s two nights in a row because it is just that good. Excellent Italian in a welcoming atmosphere with attentive service. They’ve added a fried pizza appetizer for fall that is fantastic — mozzarella, tomato sauce, and basil atop fried dough. Delicious. For dinner the first night, I had grandma’s homemade Abruzzi ravioli. Sweeter than typical ravioli, which was just what my sweet tooth wanted, in an excellent red sauce. Continuing the sweet theme, the house peanut butter pie is not to be missed. Rich peanut butter mousse with a chocolate layer on top and a chocolate cookie crust. While that meal would be hard to top, the veal chop on the second night(a house specialty) can do it. A 12-ounce chop atop mashed potatoes with a mushroom demi-glacé and asparagus will leave you more than satisfied. The chef’s recommended medium-well was executed perfectly. My wife had cavatelli bolognese both nights, a hearty and flavorful dish perfect for the chill of an October evening. Our daughters had spaghetti and meatballs(including a side of veal meatballs loaded with cheese inside), and were big advocates of returning the second night for more. DiFebo’s is a very welcome addition to Rehoboth and we will definitely be back for more.

Absolutely AH-MA-ZING food with absolutely HORRIBLE service. If I was only rating on food, I’d give this place six stars! The service, however, was horrible enough to take it down two stars. My partner and I recently had dinner here to celebrate our first night at the beach. DiFebos is fairly new and the reviews seemed promising. DInner started with warm crusty fresh bread dipped in delicious olive oil. I had the homemade sweet potato and sausage ravioli — every bite tasted like fall! It was accentuated by a warm velvety cream sauce with just enough to enhance the flavour and not drown it. My partner had the chianti braised short rib — tender juicy and succulent. The polenta was creamy and even the brussel sprouts were to die for! The restaurant only had a few tables — in fact, there were more staff than patrons during our visit — so it wasn’t because of the crowds. Once the waitress took our orders, she disappeared. Other tables were checked on frequently by the wait staff, but ours never came by. Drinks remained empty the entire dinner and an order of garlic bread never came. Had the waitress stopped by at some point, we would have mentioned it but alas she never came. Eventually, long after our meals were finished, she stopped by to take a dessert order… that she never brought either. She did manage to drop the check off but did not even manage to stop — just dropped it off on the way off to some unknown place. Kudos for the manager for trying to make things better. He offered to give us some gift cards and brought the dessert, free of charge, that the waitress forgot. We may try this place again since the food was fantastic, but the service left a bitter taste in our mouth.

We dined here last night and it was fabulous! Everything from the bruschetta appetizer, to the dipping oil with grated cheese, fresh herbs and peppers, to the entrees was superb. My husband had Cavatelli bolognese which he raved about. Got a side order of meatballs because people at the neighboring tables were raving about them. They were some of the best meatballs you will ever eat. I had chicken marsala which was accompanied with grilled asparagus. The best marsala sauce I’ve ever had and I’ve had it at many different places. It was perfect. Michael, our waiter, was so friendly and attentuve. It was a wonderful experience. We will be back!

Wonderful experience from beginning to end. It is more expensive than other Italian places at the beach. However, you’re going to get everything you pay for and then some. The service was excellent from start to finish. attentive, but not hovering. There was not a bread basket: it was offered by servers throughout the restaurant; however, they were generous, and there was oil and cheese on the table. There was a great deal to choose from, both on the regular menu, and on the evening’s specialties. Myself and my two dining companions each chose something rather different, but it was all excellent. We did not have dessert, but they did look wonderfull. This should be your ‘special’ dinner during your week at the beach!

First time at this restaurant. It was owned by others before. We were quite surprised that it had changed hands because we go there each year during our vacation at Rehoboth. Beautiful restaurant as always but the wait was a little long. We did get seated on the patio as we requested. Was crowded out there but that was okay. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. I had the cheese ravioli and meatball. The meatball was delicious and the ravioli was very good. My boyfriend had the Cavatelli Blognese. He said it was very good, just needed more meat. In lieu of a basket of bread or rolls, the server comes and asks if we want bread and places a slice on your bread plate. I took a bite and it was party in my mouth. Delicious very cheesy bread. I just wiped up the sauce from my ravioli with it the party in my mouth continued.

This place is fantastic. We came here on a Tuesday night for dinner and it seemed pretty busy but our party of four was seated in about 5 minutes. I feel like that was a run on sentence. Anyway, The garlic bread was warm and crispy around the edges. I had the rigatoni with a meatball. My dad got the seared ahi tuna and my girlfriend got the arugula salad. I tried a little bit of everyone’s meal and everything was very good. My meatball was cooked perfectly and i had plenty of pasta to go with it. I’ve always loved Italian cuisine so I’d definitley like to eat here again next time I’m in rehoboth. The owner,(Mike?) was very nice, too!

Very excellent Italian food. Starting with a Caesar salad it could be one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Down-home like grandma used to make. Not the elegant sophisticated style. If you’re looking for real thick tasty sauce with a bit of spice this is the place. Pasta very good. The bread has a wonderful taste. I would say the best are the meatballs. Wonderful. My only complaint is the shrimp had a very odd fishy taste. I let others at the table try it and they all agreed it must’ve been bad water or something. The scallops were a little tough. I know scallops are difficult to get perfect. This is the only reason why I cannot give it five stars. The rest of the people at the table probably would’ve voted five stars. Waitress was very nice as well as owner.

I had an amazing meal with my family tonight! The entire family enjoyed their meals: gnocchi, eggplant parmesan, and risotto. I had the Chianti-Braised Short Ribs and it was amazing. The flavors in the meat, the polenta, and the brussel sprouts were great on their own, but this is a well conceived combination of flavors and the sum total was far greater than the parts. Even the olive oil on the table was fantastic with a wonderful fruity flavor. We experienced very attentive service. If anything, it seemed like the restaurant may be overstaffed because there were a lot of servers and waitstaff around. But they were all very helpful and made our dining experience pleasant all around. We come to Rehoboth every year and have tried the majority of restaurants. DiFebo’s has made our short list of restaurants that we will definitely come back to again.

DiFebos is conveniently located in the middle of Rehoboth Beach’s downtown. Very rustic, Tuscan décor. We got there at 6 on a Sunday and were seated immediately. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh, delicious and filling.

Lovely experience in the pre-season. Ask for the bartender, Chris. The special tonight was the flatbread– it was wonderful a couple owns the joint and the wife is the chef named Lisa. They also have a great location in Bethany Beach. Try the specials.
