I had the Lobster Roll. Big chunks of Lobster and little else, just like it should be. The Clam Chowder was also excellent. My wife had the Fish and Chips(she loves F&C) which she said were great. Very reasonably priced. We had Ice Cream for desert and weren’t disappointed. The Banana Chocolate Chip and Strawberry Delight were great.

This place has been an outstanding ice cream establishment for years, so I won’t even bother detailing the creative flavors of rich, delicious, freshly made small batch ice cream here in this review. But, they now serve ridiculously fresh, local seafood. Ate there with my family tonight — chowder, shrimp and corn fritters, fish and chips, fried clams, lobster roll as well as a few other samples from the always hospitable owner, John. An outstanding local, small town eatery well worth the visit for seafood or ice cream… simply as good as it gets.

This is a little side of the road restaurant with real home style meals. I went in for one thing and while I was eating I found other things that peeked my interest and ended up ordering them. The food was better than the big chain stores and the service was to die for. If you are ever in the area they sell ice cream as well stop in and just get a taste and you will be hooked too.

I went because they had made a special ice cream flavor some kid friends who frequent the place. They were out of that flavor, but I ended up trying the caramel cashew turtle, was not disappointed. The ice cream was delicious. The staff was super friendly, and the owner was a delight. While my partner and I were enjoying our generous cones, the owner brought us out samples of some whole belly fried clams, clam cakes, chowder and buffalo wings that Uncle Ed’s has started serving on weekend nights. They were all freshly made, from scratch, on site. The blue cheese dressing alone was amazing, large tasty chunks of cheese in a creamy sauce. You could taste the home made goodness! The attention to good food was evident throughout all of our samples. We vowed to come back for full sized portions of this tasty food soon. I recommend you do too! Please note this is a cash only business.

Good service, late at night. Not everything’s made in house, but everything I tried was good.

Excellent product, staff, and atmosphere. Every time I come here I get something new and I’m never disappointed. Hands down the best ice cream around and more than enough flavors for anyone to find something the like. Prices are fair as well.

When I first took my daughter to Uncle Ed’s, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It sort of looks out of place, like the location was chosen at random, which is probably why it took us so long to pop in for a cone. When you open the door and step inside, you are immediately in a whole different world. A simpler world, where the biggest challenge you have to face is what flavor of ice cream you want. It’s bright, cheery, and pleasant inside. The ice cream isn’t the only treat behind the counter, the service is wonderfully warm and friendly, happy to answer questions about the ice cream. And the ice cream… ooooooh, the ice cream! You haven’t had ice cream until you have had Uncle Ed’s! Why are you still reading this? Go get some ice cream!

On Route 44, a neat little ice cream place with picnic/patio furniture on the inside. I had the mint chocolate chip and it was great! Hard ice cream, I don’t remember if they have soft serve or not.
