AKD Lawn

After reading reviews here on Unilocal I thought I’d give AKD Lawn a try. As I’m located in Australia, communication is an important factor when choosing a service provider. We needed a sprinkler turn on and some general spring landscaping done on a rental property. I spoke with Steve on the phone and gave him our tenants’ contact info so they would know to be home and let him into the garage. They showed up unannounced, luckily my tenant was home to let them in, turned on sprinklers and identified some leaks. Not having sprinkler heads, Steve said they’d be back next week. I got a bill for $ 119. They showed up again unannounced the following week, did a bad bush trimming job, knocked over outdoor lighting and overall did a crap job not even pulling weeds. In the meantime, I tried to contact them after my tenants were less than pleased and have not received a return call or email. Communication is key! Would not recommend!

He went to our property gave me an estimate when it came time to do the job he showed up and 2 hours later said it was to much and wanted to add more money to his original quote. He left me a mess to repair and charged me for the 2 hours he was there. Need to stick to just mowing lawns.

2014 Update: AKD continues to be my one and only lawn and irrigation service team. They continue to quickly respond to my requests for lawn and irrigation services. Steve and his team fast and efficient. The quality of work exceeds all my expectations. I am proud to continue to recommend the AKD Lawn team for lawn and irrigation services.

Called twice, talked to the guy twice, twice he was a no show and no call back. Sad because he sure seemed like a nice guy.

I have worked with Steve for many years. He is the first landscaping company that I have been able to continue to use. I currently manage about 250 rental properties and I choose Steve when I have the option. He helps me look out for my clients and their best interest. You can trust him and the work that he does.

This is not just a guy with a mower and a pickup truck. Steve and his team have, and do everything to make your outdoor space look great, and that’s saying something in Nevada! They are prompt, polite and proffesional. (Oh and they love dogs!) You won’t go wrong hiring National Lawn.
