In December I went to Big 5 to buy some shoes. I bought a pair of Coleman Hiking Boots, the price was exceptional. I got a pair of slippers with traction, excellent for Reno with snow and ice through the winter. They are lined and keep my toes warm without the need for socks. I got another pair of every day shoes, they are nice. But my favorites are Rug Exp Journey Plus 4336228, they have Velcro closures. Excellent for a young man of 63 earth years. Well I had a little issue with them today. I took them to the store and spoke to the Manager. He was very polite. Asked me my size and got me a new pair to exchange for my current pair. The woman that rang me out on the exchange was very nice. I told her I had just polished the old pair, hehe. Well now I have a new pair. Nothing like a new pair of shoes, soft and comfy. I can tell you this next time I need shoes I will be back at Big 5. And who thought it was just a place to buy bb guns, camping equipment and the like. Big 5YOUROCK. Thanks you!!!

This place is ok, I mean its not the greatest but its pretty decent. They have a nice selection of soccer balls which is the reason I used to come here alot and the shoes are ok they have all the standard fitness stuff you can find anywhere. Last time i was here I came to buy a pair of steel toe work boots and they had great prices here so i bought a pair. The actual store and staff was ok but the actual boots sucked. The fabric or whatever that covers the steel toe part on the actual inside of the boot wore away in like a month and it was so bad the steel actually ripped my extra thick socks made for steel toe boots. But I would say thats more of product problem then then an actual store problem.

I needed a pair of new cross trainers but wasn’t sure what brand or what the best fit would be. I picked a display model up and as soon as I went to look for the perfect fit, Derek asked if he could find it for me. They didn’t have my size so he checked the other store. He put the pair on hold for me. He was very helpful!

Bought a couple inflatables toys. I was unsatisfied with them… took them back, no hesitation for exchange or refund.. service is good, Tony and Jayson both managers solve my issue very smooth. I use this store often for my sporting needs… they have good stuff and prices are very compatibles…

Great local sporting goods store. Its way better than the overpriced barren wasteland known as Sports Authority. The store has a wide selection with a little bit of everything. The prices are usually really good. They also always have a sale going on and I check the weekly sale ad online to spot any great deals that I might need. The only downside is that the store is jam packed with merchandise which sometimes makes it difficult to find exactly what you are looking for. Another odd thing is some of the items don’t have a price tag on them which is weird and confusing. ~BMO

AMAZINGCUSTOMERSERVICE! I had a complaint about the baseball glove I had bought for my son. The manager switched the glove out without any hesitation. I have and will always go to Big 5 for all my sporting needs. P. S. The cashier was very nice and great eyeliner.

Great prices on their weekly sales! I come here for hunting and outdoors items. Usually the best prices in town

I am a total sporting goods store junkie. Big 5 has it all — every sport you can imagine plus some outdoorsy stuff you wouldnt imagine. Everything from aerobics to zip-lining and everything in-between. The prices are generally lower than most places as well. Now the negative — as the saying goes ‘you get what you pay for’ and the prices here are lower than most others. While a lot of the products here are nice, some are not so nice. My other issue is that the store is always jam packed with merchandise, it’s hard to find what you’re looking for let alone walk through the place. And for the love of Pete, please put price tags on things!

This is in a great location surrounded by so many different stores. This location has a lot of inventory and that’s why we came here looking for ammo. They had a huge sale when we were there and they were good buys too. There’s plenty of parking because the lot is huge. It’s nice and organized inside, which I really like.

Big 5 rocks — the place has the best deals to get what you want — I wait for the ads to ensure I am getting the best price. They have a club sign up for it for additional offers and discounts!

Great place to find sports shoes for kids. Having 3 children all in sports throughout the year, they need everything from volleyball/court shoes to baseball cleats. And considering they grow out of them every season, I need durable shoes for a low price. It seems they are always on sale! I’ve looked at other stores and they don’t come close to price! I mean, getting Nike baseball cleats for $ 20? That’s insane! Basically if I need anything sports related, I don’t go anywhere else except Big 5.

I’m always a fan of Big 5 Sporting Goods stores. They have everything I need for camping etc. I like to come to Reno for shopping cuz things are a little cheaper than in Ca. The staff in this particular store are very friendly and helpful.
