One of the coolest young chefs that I am honored to know. Clint Jolly, owner and chef of Great Thyme Catering, recently won a spot on Chopped– Restaurant Impossible Edition. He flew out to NYC in January to compete with three other chefs and won !! Watch this link to see the edited show as it will be running on the Food Network Clint recently set up an event at The Jungle downtown to give 100 people a chance to try the dish that got him to Chopped and the dish that won. Proceeds from the $ 25 ticket sales went to the Carson High Culinary Scholarship fund. A group very dear to Chef Jolly because he is a mentor chef for the class. The excited group that packed the location enjoyed a Peruvian roast pork, sweet potato purée and crispy quinoa. The winning dish was a juicy Mediterranean pork kebab over a turnip hash with cherry agrodolce. Three of the Carson High Culinary seniors helped Chef Jolly and Zach prepare and serve the dishes. The entire space was filled with smiles and MMM’s. Watch for a special series of food adventures called the«Seven Deadly Sins» starting in April 2016. Chef Jolly, as usual, is creating food experiences that is causing Reno to stand up and take note. And so should you.

Wow there are some really lucky people out there right now. You know who you are… everyone who went to Clint Jolly’s(Great Thyme Caterings) first Pop Up event down at Pignic. And then of course there are bunch of other really lucky people right now. Those that have been lucky enough to be at an event catered by Great Thyme. I’ve not been lucky enough to be at a regular catered event… but boy did I love that Pop Up.(If you can’t tell by all the pics I took.) Each course was simple yet so freakin delicious. That country pâté was the star for me, I could imagine myself requesting this as part of my last meal. I loved the pork belly and the greens. As I was taking the pics, I was able to see these guys at work. Everyone on the staff for Great Thyme had such a relaxed vibe about them, even while trying to plate 40+ plates of food for hungry guests. I hope in the future I get to experience their mastery again. Not only the mouth watering food, but the general spirit they brought to this event.

I sampled the work of this caterer on Saturday and thought that they did a great job. Everything was prepared on time and the selection was fantastic! I recommend these guys for any large event. Food safety is adhered to closely as well.

Clint at Great Thyme Catering is fantastic! He catered our wedding in Lake Tahoe and the food was absolutely amazing! He has a BBQ background, so our Hawaiian BBQ themed dinner was perfect for them. Their menu was unique and fit our theme perfectly. He really saw the vision of our wedding and ran with it. EVERYONE at the reception commented on how delicious the food was! He was a pleasure to work with and his staff was super helpful. I highly, highly recommend for anyone looking to cater anything. Thank you Clint!
