Very delicious Asian food, larger and clean environment, the price is reasonable, it is also good to order party trays. Really recommend. There is no doubt that I will return next time!

Cheap prices and large plates… lots of seating. You can sit down and dine or order for take out… nice staff.

Hey it is what it is and doesn’t pretend to be fancy. It’s cheap Chinese food that is consistent and doesn’t break the bank. Want something different? They got all kinds of chefs special.

In and out in a hurry. That’s the best part. Again — I need to convince myself to accept things for what they are. This was a fast, warm meal, served in a clean environment for a reasonable price. It wasn’t particularly delicious, nor did it look or taste particularly fresh. I had a lunch special which consisted of two meats, I had Szechuan beef and garlic chicken, with fried rice. Neither meat had the flavor as advertised, but almost. The rice was okay. Yeah. Okay. My tea was good! Listen, I just paid under eight bucks for quick Chinese. Expectations need not be very high. I am doubtful to return, but won’t rule it out in a pinch.

Its really sad how bad the food is here since their other locations food is always so great! I have tried this place three times because it is so close to my house and all three times the food was gross. The generals chicken was soggy and not sauced well at all. The pot stickers were either over cooked or tasted funny. I will not be eating here anymore, the 10 minute drive to the pekham location is worth it :)

I LOVE this place! I work around the corner so it’s very convenient for me to order over the phone and pick up. I tried other Chinese restaurants but none compare! These guys are consistent with their quality. My main choice is honey walnut shrimp and dim sum. Yum! I’ve also tried their combination plate options: lemon chicken, orange chicken and beef broccoli choices and they are delicious! My only wish is that they had a location in north Reno because I hate having to drive back down once I leave work.

Love the food, a nice and roomy place. A bit hidden away in my opinion but a good find!

One of Reno’s most slept on Chinese quick food spots. Very clean dining area. With delicious food. My personal favorites of the menu is the salt and pepper pork chops. Along with their General chicken. Make sure to check out their toasted pork tofu also. All the food is great. And decently priced.

Got Mongolian Beef, Dinner Chow Mein, and Pot Stickers. Mongolian Beef was abundant, however the meat was either tough, full of gristle, lots of fat or all three. We couldn’t eat it without one of the above in our dish. The Chow Mein was supposed to be of mixed meats. This dish was ok but the beef in the meal was just like the beef in Mongolian Beef, i.e. unacceptable, chicken was ok and not much else. Lots of noodles. Pot stickers were ok, my wife liked them but they’re not what I expect when i order that dish. I don’t expect I will purchase anything else from this restaurant as there are much better alternatives in town. One a few blocks away. No silverware, just plastic picnic utensils, very strange for a sit down restaurant. People were very nice.

I love this place, yes it is budget, quick, American style Chinese food. It’s also right down the street from my work. It takes around 5 mins to get your order, which on a 30 min lunch is nice. I always order the special combo, which is around $ 6. I go here at least once a week.

I hate to be so critical of a longstanding local restaurant, but after eating here for the first time, I’m left with the negative impression that this is low grade mall food court type Chinese food. Styrofoam and plastic everything, bland food, blander sauces, and meh service. What really stood out though was the terrible chow mein and soy sauce. How do you mess these up? Hope this place can turn it around… we won’t be back anytime soon.

Ive been going here a lot and i absolute love it since it is close to where i live. One of my favorite is the«Hot&Sour Soup». Its just makes the day better to best. Today, its a big disappointment. I ordered the soup togo and when i got home, its missing the key ingredient… The Egg!!! This cant be happening to me. I don’t have the time to go back to have them make me another one since its passed 9pm. So i will just post a picture somewhere here of whats half consumed hot&sour soup. Thank goodness I’ve also ordered the war wonton and a combination plate to make up for the bland taste. I just hope that it does not happen again. Maybe give me a free replacement for the mistake? Lol.

Not as good as the original Hong Kong Diner… Visited with my fiancé because it’s closer to where we live and we were disappointed. The food lacked flavor. The location is nice and larger than their original location, but the food isn’t so great.

Wake up Reno. Hong Kong Diner 2 is one of the best kept secrets in South Reno. I just moved here from Florida where most good Chinese restaurants charge about $ 6 to $ 8 for a sit down or carry out meal. Most of the Chinese restaurants I’ve tried here run $ 10 to $ 12 and NOT worth it. My wife and I tried Hong Kong 2 tonite. We went in and ordered take out for the first time. Hardly anyone there. Probably due to fact it is located in a business/industrial area just north of Double Diamond boulevard which doesn’t make sense but nonetheless it had a nice, clean, roomy interior with lots of tables and chairs. I ordered pepper steak for $ 7 and my wife had a wonderful combination plate for only $ 5.45! We had our order within 10 minutes and once home opened the containers to find more than enough food, very good and the meat tender(better than Florida). In short, well worth every penny. Best deal in town. We will definitely go back. Only draw back was stale fortune cookies. But that one negative is of little consequence based on all the positive rest.

Can’t beat this place for convenience and price. While it’s not the most amazing Chinese food you’ll ever have, it’s always good and cheap! Our go to for a quick, Yummy affordable dinner for our family!

This location is an industrial area a bit off the beaten path. They weren’t busy at all when I arrived. My food was served super fast. so fast they had to have made up ahead of time. I found the food to be bland. I had fried rice, chow mein, sesame chicken and chicken vegetable. The price was very reasonable and our server was great. Too bad the food wasnt. Sadly, I didnt even finish my fortune cookie because I didnt care for it either.

Been here numerous times and figured its time to write a review as we went here for lunch today. This place is probably the most bang for your buck on the south end of town. You get a TON of food for ~$ 6 if you order the combo plate. They have numerous 2 part combinations to choose from and you get pork fried rice or chow mein as a side. I’ve never been able to eat all of my food in one sitting. It’s your standard ‘fast’ Chinese food but well worth the money. They are fast and friendly. And their tempura special has been really good the last few times we’ve been here too.

Just HIDEOUS!!! I had the Mongolian beef lunch special w/“pork” fried rice. There were maybe 3 peas &2 carrots in the rice, the beef dish had about 1 tablespoon of beef & was mostly all celery. No onion, other veggies, 75% celery. I seriously doubt that I’ll eat here again. Long wait + gross food.
