Terrible experience. My husband and I stopped by the food court at lunchtime and decided to check out Flaming Wok as we had never eaten there before. My husband asked for a sample of the General’s Chicken, which the woman behind the counter was happy to provide. I asked for a sample of another dish, and she said they don’t give samples of chicken; this, while my husband was standing there eating a sample of chicken. My husband liked his sample so we ordered the bowl(white rice and entrée). She filled the bowl heaping to overflowing with rice, then added what amounted to about a ¼ cup of General’s Chicken. After getting it home, my husband was able to eat just a few bites because almost every piece had gristle — apparently she put the good pieces aside for samples. Besides the food being sub-par, the woman behind the counter was rude. We will never return to this food stand.

HORRIBLE experience. Trust me, eat at the other Asian fast food vendors in the mall! They CHARGE for hot sauce? Never been charged for hot sauce at an Asian restaurant? The chow mien and chicken stir fry tasted like water and salt. I think my entire plate was some processed form of salt, no flavors or good meat. The only thing I enjoyed was my Coke and the steamed rice.

Dazed and confused by my first indoor mall experience in years(I worked hard to beat the NJ mall syndrome out of me that I grew up with), we stumbled upon the food court. Memories of my teenage life hanging out in the malls and food courts of suburban Jersey flooded my tired brain. Friend opts for McDonalds. I am lured by the cheap offer of getting rice, lo mein and 2 dishes for under $ 7 here. I don’t even remember what I ordered for the two dishes — both were some sort of chicken with sauces of different rainbow colors on them. Now that I survived this, I don’t have to ever go through this again for another 10 years. Get me out of here!

My husband and I were doing some window shopping, at the mall, and decided to get some«cheap» Chinese food. Who doesn’t love cheap Chinese food? The service was decent. There was a line, so we were quickly rushed through the ordering process. I got the General’s Chicken and the Bourbon Chicken with both fried rice and lo mien. They were all tasty, for being a six dollar meal, and both had a little kick to them that I liked. It wasn’t too spicy, though, as my ten month old daughter could eat it too. My husband picked the two spiciest items on the menu; they both were way too hot for my liking, but my husband loved them.(With that being said, he will eat ANYTHING hot. He consistently douses his food in sriracha!) For a food court meal, this was quick, reasonably priced, and yummy.

I’ve dropped by Meadowood’s food court many a time, but always avoided this place as the huge advertising banner had the opposite effect of its intent — I figured if they were offering 4 items at 5.99 it must be horrible! Finally went in for a closer inspection and it turns out two of the items are lo mein and rice mandatory, you select only two actual entrees. That’s a lot less suspicious, and the entrees looked alright, so I went for it. Salty and possibly MSG, but passable. Had the chicken and veggies stir fry and barbecued chicken and both tasted fine. Rice and lo mein were meh, but servicable when mixed with the entrees. Acceptable filler with some veggies for 5.99 if you’re hungry. Better choice than half the other stuff in the food court. I’d still pay a little more for Tokyo Grill, but it’s def. way better than that Panda Express Thai across the way.

Solid mall food court option if you want some Chinese. Very much like Panda Express but better. They have all of your rice, meat, and veggies favorites. You can order a full plate or sides only. I had one of the chicken sided to hold me over during a shopping trip and before dinner. Not bad, especially for the mall.

The food is not bad for Chinese fast food at the mall but I didn’t appreciate the woman behind the counter treating me like an I’m an idiot because SHE can’t speak enough English to take a simple food order. Probably won’t be going back.
