J.Crew Summit Sierra

I love JCrew so much, as one might expect of an alumna of JCrewU (Miami University of Ohio, at least in the early and mid 2000s). Yes, this location is small and has only women’s clothing. Sorry, dudes! Nevertheless, I can’t say enough good things about the range of products this location carries and the attentiveness of the staff. When I wanted the perfect outfit in which to defend my dissertation back in Atlanta, a clerk at this location helped me see how two unexpected colors went well together and were nicely toned down by a well-​fitting navy blazer. That was back in May 2014. When I came in today (in all JCrew obvi, without even thinking about it), I received excellent service as I sought and found new perfect-​fitting jeans.
Sure, JCrew is pricey. But the quality of the clothing is usually well-​worth the cost. Although JCrew has been stocking pieces that are obviously very trendy (sequined, embellished, or cut in a particular manner), most of their wares are classically beautiful and can be worn season after season. I love the new colors they introduce to classic pieces every so often. My merino wool Tippi sweater collection is now at seven! If you buy JCrew online and don’t like it when it arrives, you can return it easily at the store. That’s what happened when I tried to buy some JCrew men’s stuff for the boyf without knowing his proper shirt size.
So take my money, JCrew: I want what you are selling. Fellow educators: note that we all get 15% off all the time!

Why is this store only for women’s clothing? There’s no other J Crew in Reno so us males have to go online. When I made the mistake and went in the girl was really sweet and explained that they only have women’s clothes in this town. The 2 stars is not for the service of the store but for the fact that the store itself is only one-​gendered. Throw me a bone J Crew… Really disappointed right now.

Absolutely love the store and the staff. ALWAYS helpful and nice. And I am addicted to JCrew so I am there often and never disappointed.

An average of 2.5 stars? WTF Unilocal,are you crazy?
For my upcoming wedding, there are two different events going on: my bridal shower (a tea party!) and our rehearsal dinner BBQ. Look, I wear jeans whenever my sweats are all dirty and I’ve been too lazy to wash clothes — I clearly have nothing in my closet for these things. A good friend of mine works at J. Crew, and after pining over her wardrobe, I finally made a stop at this store.

First of all, I LOVE this store. Anyone complaining that this isn’t very big with not much stuff — the ones in SF are big, but only in square feet; all the rest of their selection is basically the same. Here they pack it with all sorts of different styles, and I absolutely love it.
Jesse brought like, a billion different outfits for me to try. Since she hasn’t seen me in anything but sweats, we had to get a feel for what worked and what didn’t (hell, I didn’t even know), but after a few styles she hit the nail on the head. I walked out with a full outfit — including a bracelet, necklace and flip flops to go with the dress, and I have like, four outfits on hold I’ll make the final decision on and pick up tomorrow.
Basically, she is the greatest thing in the world. Totally attentive, so sweet, so patient — you might think I got some kind of special treatment or something, but I overheard her with other customers, and I can assure you that isn’t the case. Also, if you are wondering why the mannequins always look so great, it’s because she does the styling (at least, she did for a couple outfits I wanted to try on) — so if you want a fantastic look, go to Jesse.
