I’m a white boy from Santa Ana(which is like 80% Latino) and I know real Mexican food. I’m glad I found this place just down the street from where I live and I love their pan dulce(conchas, cuernos, empanadas, and more). The real reason I came here though was because I heard they had tortas and tamales! The tamales were big and reasonably priced and the torta de jamon I had was very delicious. Prices are a little on the high side here since it’s $ 7 for a torta and instead of rice and beans they just give you a small bag of chips. Also, I do wish they had tacos, I’m talking the dirty little street tacos that I miss so much. This place is part panaderia, part Mexican café, and part Mexican grocer. They also have many of the staples of a good Mexican household-beans, rice, masa, chili, etc… Enjoy!

I am Mexican so I know how Mexican churros should feel. You might as well should go outside on a snowy day, pick up the longest Rock you can find and just chew on it. It’s the same thing. Aside from that the things they sell by the door are a bit pricey. But the breads are actually very good. And they sell a variety of other Mexican things like the traditional corn with mayo, Parmesan and chili, chamangos(iced mango pops with chamoy on a cup and all that good stuff.

This place is really handy if you want a quick snack, and even better if your wanting to do something nice for co workers and decide to bring in quality Mexican pastries instead of run of the mill donuts! I love the prices and all the pastries I have tried(almost everything!) Have been top notch. My only complaint is how they stuff everything into a very thin bag. The prices and quality make up for that however.

Breads were tasty and always fresh. The tortas was the best we have had anywhere I swear. The buns were never soggy and it’s packed with meat and everything on it. The owner is very friendly and makes suggestions as to what to order. We lived in the area for a year… sad we had to leave. Ill make sure to visit Jalisco whenever we’re in town.

Had the pork tamales tonight. Just the right amount of masa. Very yummy. It’s the one of the few places in town I can practice my spanish. Still good food.
