This was the BESTBLT Wrap that I have ever had, the bacon was«perfectly prepared» thick and crisp, but not burnt.

Yeah, just went there for the first time and what a great little sandwich/ice cream joint! Hub and I split a #6(think Thanksgiving) and it was really good. The best part was when I went in to get my free ice cream for checking in on Unilocal and got a caramel Sriracha scoop for me and chocolate for hub. Holy shit, Batman! The caramel Sriracha is outstanding! Great combo of flavors… The chocolate was also delish; rich, dark, mmmmm. We’ll be back!

Located off lakeside dr, this little deli packs a punch. There is ample parking in the lot and quite a bit of seating inside. The deli is decorated in a bicycle theme with decorations everywhere. If you ride your bike you will get 10 percent off your entire tab. I ordered a custom sandwich. They offer sandwich specials and bicycle themed sandwiches. I ordered the salami and provolone on Dutch crunch. The bread is baked fresh daily and it was delicious. Soft, with a crunch on the outside, the bread held together well. The meat and cheese are sliced per order and your choice of condiments are put on. Anything from tomatoes, onions, mayo, mustard, peppers and shakers. I definitely will be back. It is very convenient to pick up a sandwich for a art town event at Bartley ranch.

We’ve been wanting to check out this place for a while and finally made it out that way. We didn’t have any ice cream this time, but we did have three sandwiches. I decided to try out the Tricycle Club, which wasn’t bad. Freshly sliced meat is always a plus, cold precooked bacon I could take or leave. All the veggies tasted fresh and lettuce was nice and crisp as it should be. Not sure if it was worth the price of it, but it filled mah belly none the less and I left happy. The wife had the special of that day which was the Fungay on their herb and cheese bread. That one was pretty darn good. I had to try some of it too. The truffle aioli that was put on it was divine and the Balsamic Roasted Mushrooms — yum. It was definitely one of the better sandwiches I’ve had in Reno and hope that they add it as a regular to the menu. It made me wish I had chosen that instead of what I did. My sister had the Cuban, I believe, and she had no complaints about it. My only downside was probably the service. It wasn’t awful, but maybe I had the expectation of little more. It could have been because it was a lazy Sunday and it was pretty slow in there when we came in, but they were moving like they had rocks in their shoes. At the time we arrived, there was no one else ordering sandwiches except us, and there was one other couple there ordering ice cream with three employees. Two of them were working on our three sandwiches. They definitely took their time putting on the condiments, and laying the toppings onto it. I guess they were just handling them with care to make sure they were good. When we went to pay, I said that all of ours were together, and I’m guess he misunderstood that and only charged us for two sandwiches which I didn’t realize. As we sat down to eat, he came up to my sister and told her that she could pay when she was done eating if she’d like… I questioned him about that thinking I had paid for hers and he said that he didn’t know I was going to and it wasn’t paid for. Oh well. Good thing we weren’t taking them to go! Anywho, we’ll be back to try other sandwiches and their ice cream in the near future.

The food is meh:/. I ordered a kale salad in hopes of getting something healthy and it was topped with waxy processed turkey lunch meat. I picked it off and the rest of the salad was just ok. The ice cream is AMAZING!!. Had the apple Jack cereal milk and the strawberry pepper. Been craving the cereal milk ice cream ever since. Sadly they do not always have the flavor in stock.

I expect more from a deli with these prices. The ice cream may be great, but when you’re paying this much for a sandwich you shouldn’t be left wondering what you paid for. I appreciate the fresh cut meat, but the bread, toppings and amount of meat were unacceptable for the price. The last inch on either side of your sandwich should not be just bread. If I’m looking for a good sandwich, there are plenty of other consistent, quality delis nearby. After several visits, I really wanted to like them, but sadly nothing has changed.

I happened upon this gorgeous gem while in Reno for business. I was looking for a sandwich place, but I got so much more! I got the #7 on French bread and my coworker got the #10 on French bread. Both were amazing. THEN, we noticed the eclectic ice cream flavors and couldn’t resist. I got the salted pistachio ice cream and she got the gorgonzola and fig ice cream… which was DIVINE! The balance of the flavors was phenomenal. This will definitely become a regular stop whenever I visit Reno.

Brooklyn Hip… the craziest ice cream flavors imaginable. They give discounts if you rode a bike there. Good breads… Great salami… cool vibe… hipster… you get a free cookie only if you dine in… don’t go on a monday perhaps as they might forget to unlock the doors and the lettuce will be brown… usually this place rocks… give it business

Tucked in the corner of a strip mall on Lakeside, this is a real, old-school deli, with chalkboard ordering, and sit down tables. I made my own choice sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious, so much better than our usual Port of Subs! I chose the French bread, with turkey and roast beef, along with cheddar. They don’t scrimp on the ingredients, my sandwich was stuffed, and stuffed with flavor, too. When you dine in, you get a free cookie, which was also delicious, and a nice way to end the meal. I couldn’t even eat half my sandwich, it was so big! My husband had the special, which was the Schlotsky, and he said it was delicious as well. His was served hot, panini style, and it was also stuffed with ingredients. I love their bread, which they bake fresh every day. It was soft, and set the sandwich off perfectly. I enjoyed the bread as much as the sandwich! We will definitely go back to Pedaler’s Deli, it’s a little off the beaten path, but well worth the effort to find it!

So, I’ve been wanting to come in and check out Pedalers for a while now… we finally made it in. I was amazed when they started making our sandwiches… WHAT? They actually set your bread next to the slicer and cut everything right there to order for your sandwich… slicer to bread. WHODOESTHAT? And let me tell you, these people do not skimp one little tiny bit on their portions! Beautiful and delicious food, thank you! I ordered the Cuban on Jalapeño Cheddar bread. It was really tasty, the only issue I had was it had a little too much mustard and the bread wasn’t really grilled enough for my taste, so next time I’ll ask for a little more time on the press. There was so much mustard that when I got home the sandwich literally stuck to the paper it was wrapped in. No big deal really, next time I’ll just ask for a little less? My kids ordered custom sandwiches, and both of them raved about how good they were. I believe it since I watched them get put together and they looked amazing! We also decided to try some of their ice cream… while it was good, it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. When I ordered the Maple Bacon ice cream, I expected to taste maple and bacon. What I tasted was Vanilla with sporadic bits of bacon in it, that didn’t have much flavor over the taste of the vanilla. It was good, don’t get me wrong… just the flavors didn’t scream out«I’M MAPLEBACON, BAAAAABY!» at me, the way I was hoping it would. My daughter got the mint chip ice cream, and she said the same thing… she said the flavor was so light she almost didn’t get it. I mentioned that I wanted to go back again and try the Mango Chili next time… which my daughter said she tried a sample of, and it too had almost no flavor of mango or chili. I’m a little saddened by this, but I’m going to go back and try again… I want to love this place, because who doesn’t love a great deli and homemade ice cream???

Fresh sandwiches and delightful service. The deli is located somewhat off the beaten path, but close to my house. I was without a car today, so I decided to walk over and try it for lunch. The shop opened in January 2015, and I can’t believe it has taken me this long to try it– boy, have I been missing out! I dare say this is my new favorite deli in town. I have been a long time supporter of Deli Town, and I can truthfully say that Pedalers is just as good. I had the #4 «Tricycle Club,» without the ham, and on Dutch Crunch. I ate the whole sandwich(a hearty amount of food) and an hour later was craving another. I know that I’ll be returning to Pedalers in the future, and I encourage others to try it as well. The place is clean and the staff was very approachable. They also serve ice cream with unique flavors, like mango lime chili sorbet and sweet potato casserole.

Surprise find in the neighborhood! Had the roast beef sandwich. Fresh tasty bread and the perfect smear of horseradish. Big enough for 2 lunches! They have ice cream as well. Next stop in will be for that in the evening. Came back for ice cream! Delightful flavor blends. The Nevada with safe and pine nuts is a must for everyone!

«I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.» — Howard Johnson, et al, 1927 The first time I heard that line it was sung by my paternal grandfather, a man who liked singing and loved ice cream. Summer gatherings at my grandparents’ house featured homemade ice cream, each cousin taking a turn cranking the wooden contraption. My mother continued that tradition(albeit with a motorized model), delighting in coming up with new flavors that my sister and I were happy to taste test. My mother is also renowned for baking amazing breads, the foundation of many a childhood sandwich. I’m reminded of these moments by my recent visit to the Iceycle Creamery & Pedalers Deli, a small shop serving a combination of creative ice creams and sandwiches featuring fresh-baked bread in the Bartley Ranch area. The business name stems from its origins as a bicycle ice cream cart that still makes occasional appearances around town. The bicycle theme is reflected in sandwiches with names such as «Tricycle Club» and«Pedalerstrami», even extending a 10% discount to cyclists who ride to lunch. I do own a bike, but riding to the top of Windy Hill isn’t something I’m going to manage anytime soon, discount or not. The staff working during our visit were beyond friendly, eager to answer questions and offer information about the menu. I mention this because there’s good service, and then there’s, «I really care about this product and the work I put into it.» Hard to say when I’ve witnessed this much enthusiasm while ordering either ice cream or sandwiches in recent memory. I went with«The Fixe» on jalapeño cheddar bread($ 8.75). What I received was a sandwich big enough for two, stuffed with porchetta, salami, provolone, red pepper, aioli, olives, pepperoncini, arugula, tomato, onion, and seasonings. The bread was a large, sweet french roll topped with cheese and chiles, baked fresh that morning and every bit as good as it sounds. Being I’m a sucker for a fresh-made soup, I had to add a cup of Pork Chile Verde and I’m glad I did($ 2 with a sandwich, $ 3.50 on its own). More of a stew than soup, this cup of spicy, piggy goodness was almost better than the sandwich. Let’s call it even. My wife ordered«The Cruiser» on the same bread($ 8.75), featuring ham, turkey, monterey jack, avocado, mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. She enjoyed it but felt the bread was a bit on the sweet side. I tried a bite and had to admit hers tasted sweeter than mine. Not sure why that could be; perhaps the selection of ingredients somehow brought out a sweet note my sandwich lacked? Speaking of sweet, there’s plenty of that on the ice cream side of the room. Available served in waffle and sugar cones, hand-packed pints, half pints, quarter pints and cups, the flavors vary week-to-week depending on the mood of the wizard behind the curtain. Having just had a sizeable meal, we settled on single scoop cones($ 2.50 ea), my wife choosing Earl Grey Tea while I threw the diet out the window and chose Maple Bacon. Real chunks of bacon, real maple extract. Damn that’s good. My wife only made it through half her cone, partly due to being full and the fact this ice cream is closer to the fatty mouthfeel of gelato than not, something she doesn’t particularly love. Me, I’m not a huge fan of bergamot but I finished her cone because at this level of quality it’d be a shame not to. Other flavors we tasted included Sweet Potato Casserole(more like pie), Fresh Prince of Persia(rosewater, pistachio), Chocolate Salted Lavender, Pineapple Jalapeño Sorbet, Toasted Sesame(think tahini), and Ricotta Fig. Somehow I missed tasting the«I Do Declare» bourbon peach, but I’ll definitely be back to try that and more.

A few weeks ago, a co-worker and I stopped into this place to finally give the ice cream of Icecycle Creamery a try. While we were enjoying our treat, we perused the deli menu a bit, and I was quite intrigued by some of their offerings, most especially The Cuban. Out running errands today, I happened to in the area and decided it seemed like a perfect time to treat myself to lunch. The menu boasts several tasty sounding sandwiches, making it tempting to veer off course, but I managed to stay focused on my quest for The Cuban. There are a variety of bread choices available, many of them sounding simply amazing. For today, I opted for the French roll to allow the meats of The Cuban to be the star of the sandwich. The first bite in, I was a happy, happy girl. The porchetta and ham married together with Swiss cheese and pickles to make a sandwich that demanded to be savored with each bite. Taking the visit up a notch was the friendly staff, each of whom seemed genuinely vested in making sure everyone who came in the door was greeted warmly and left happy. Of course, it also doesn’t hurt that lunch here also meant the change to grab dessert here. When you add all that together, it really is about«As good as it gets!» and I’m certain to be searching for more reasons to find myself in the area when it’s time for lunch.

Let me start off by saying I expect more from a $ 9 sandwich. I came to Pedaler’s for the Icecycle creamery ice cream but since I was also hungry and surprisingly not in the mood to have ice cream for lunch, I decided to grab a sandwich too. My choice was the #4 Tricycle Club. I like that the meat is sliced fresh. I didn’t like that the bacon on the sandwich was obviously precooked and thus, cold. I nixed the mustard and pickle. The lettuce had seen better days. I was really wanting it to be crisp and fresh, it was soggy and unappealing. I had the sandwich on whole wheat bread which was pretty good. I don’t mind spending good money on a fantastic sandwich but this was not that sandwich. It didn’t come with chips. It didn’t come with a drink. It did not meet the expectations I want for a sandwich of that price. I would come back for the ice cream but I would look elsewhere for a better sandwich.

Ok says it all. Ok if you are not expecting a whole lot. Ok if you are not in a hurry, very slow assemblage of the food. The food too was ok, nothing special though. Making a good sandwich take a special art. To make each ingredient good on its own but combined in correct portions to make that special bite. After two sandwich’s I can say this talent is not found here. It just tastes like you went to a neighbors house for lunch and got what you would expect for your neighbors kitchen. Hey nothing bad, just nothing great.

I give four stars with love. Because it was my first time and I only had one Sammy. The bread was amazing– some kind of blue cheese/Dutch crunch hybrid. I would’ve given 4 stars on it alone. I had the fixe on the aforementioned bread. I was starving because I skipped breakfast but I don’t think that skewed my enjoyment because the sandwich was bomb! I would have never driven past the location, because I generally eat in Midtown and downtown. So it makes me nervous for the longterm viability of this restaurant. Hopefully social media can direct people because it’s a little off the beaten path, but well worth the detour. I didn’t have ice cream today, however I have eaten icecycle before and it is scrumptious! I will keep them in mind for future lunch runs… Maybe some catering too?

I just finished my second sandwich from Pedalers Deli this week. For my first visit I ordered the #4, the Tricycleclub. I chose the Jalapeño Cheddar bread. I ordered the #4 just as it’s described on the menu. It was fantastic. I knew that day I’ll be coming back. I was jonesing to try the #13, the Pedalerstrami… Today I went back to get that #13. I ordered it with French Bread and asked to hold the lettuce but that’s because I almost always hold the lettuce on my sandwiches. And this is another home run. It’s warmed on a Panini press and the flavor of this sandwich is awesome. The bread here is fresh and soft and the choices are great. So far after two visits, I’m delighted with the sandwiches here! These are fantastic sandwiches, folks! I’ll be coming back often!

Social Media score! The owner of the business posted to facebook the special of the day, so Ly’ and I headed over to see just what they have to offer! Going in, the place looked clean and in transition. Transition from the old place that I never had the pleasure of going to. So not much more to say about the atmosphere other than keep an eye out as they make the space their own, the few bike related things hint to the final product. For lunch we chose to share the special. A Bahn Mi inspired slow roasted pork sandwich for $ 8.95. It was downright good. We also each got a soup with it. I enjoyed both the black eyed pea soup and the butternut squash. Nice lunch. And if they keep putting out quality soups like we had today, this will be a place I will be dying to go on a regular basis. Also this place is carrying the local ice cream from IceCycle. Today it was too chilly to pick up some, but there will come a day when we go back for that.
