I like this Port of Subs location… close to my house and fast service! I eat here at least once a week when I’m in need of something somewhat healthy but also something that’s made quickly. The service has always been friendly and the sandwiches always taste fresh. I’ve tried most of the sandwiches on the menu, but I always tend to go back to the #1(Ham, Salami, Capicolla, Pepperoni and Provolone Cheese). The amount of meat they put on your sandwich really fills you up! If you didn’t know it yet, Port of Subs has a rewards card that you can use to gain points towards a free sandwich of any size. I just discovered this a couple of months ago and apparently it’s been a thing for a while!

I always like the #1 at Port of Subs, and the meat on the #1 is more than any sandwich, they offer, but still I always felt a bit disappointed with value. I would eat on Port of Subs on occasion only, preferring Subway or Jimmy Johns. This all changed one day at my work when I saw a co-worker with what I thought looked like a worthy sandwich, and I asked where they got it? They said Port of Subs! I said why is there so much meat on there? They said they get double meat. I thought, okay, I will have to try that one day, and I did! I have eaten the #1 on white(medium 8″) with double meat and smokey cheddar vs. the standard provolone. This sandwich is a BEAST($ 9.15 w/tax)! It really satisfies a deep level of hunger and has the tastiest meats, and you can taste the cheddar with it all. I actually crave this combination now and I am always happy to eat it! That’s what good food should do, make you want to come back, time and time again, and that can only happen when you have a consistent experience, which thus far has been(5 times)! Lastly, the service is good here, the employees all hustle and are super focused on getting you food as fast as possible!

First time here and I got to say this place is great! Very fast and friendly services! The subs are absolutely delicious here too! Highly recommend this place!

I come here one or twice every week or two as I work at a Salon right here in the area. I know couple people have complained about pepper corn breaking thier teeth or bad service from a couple lame employees, but I have never experienced any of this at this location. Nothing but quality food, friendly service and a great location. I would give them a 5 star except I save those for only the baddest Ass places I really really LOVE. But like I said, this place is a great place to have lunch.

It’s convenient, fast, and I know what to expect. They have their 20 combos and they don’t try to go into markets that they don’t know anything about like other sandwich franchises, so they can focus on making a decent sandwich.

On our way home we grabbed a sub for the road for lunch. I got the peper pastrami with swiss. As I was eating it I bit into a huge pepercorn… Idk where that came from so I spit it out and gave them the benefit of the doubt it was an accident but he should have noticed it when he added the peper… The next bite broke my inner molder(my tooth). I spit it out and told me bf «oh crap! Something cracked my tooth off!» We threw the sub away and now I have to go to the dentist to fix my tooth… Be careful guys! Not eating here again

Wish I could give it a 0 stars, the last time I was here I got bad service it was in the evening, since the second I walked in I should’ve known it was gonna be bad service… The two employees that were on must hate there job I felt like I was almost bothering them by walking in the store to order and pay for my food. I will definitely not be back and I will gladly take my money elsewhere:)

I really love the people at this location and they always make me a wonderful sandwich. I’ve never yet been disappointed with the food or the service. I’m a big fan of Port of Subs but I really love this location and the people there above all the others. Stop in for the 2foot sub deal after 4pm!

In a recent review of the Mira Loma & McCarran Port of Subs location, I unfortunately had to give a fairly low rating due to that franchisee not adhering to the chain’s standards of great service & quality product on three consecutive visits. In my review(and letter to the franchising company), I noted that I’ve enjoyed much better results at most other locations, and in particular, this Keystone Ave. shop. My wife & I lived near this shop for over a decade before purchasing a house near the not-so-great franchisee, so perhaps we were spoiled by better-than-average service. In 13 years of purchasing sandwiches from this Keystone Ave. location, we were never, EVER disappointed. The service was always fast, friendly, and the sandwiches were among the best I’ve had from any Port of Subs. Want something extra or left out of the sandwich? No problem. Want to do a half & half order on the 2′ «special deal sub»? No problem. Attention to detail and customer service? NOPROBLEM! My wife and I were thrilled and excited at finally being able to buy a house last year. One of the very few things we really miss about our old neighborhood is being within five minutes of this Port of Subs(and one of our favorites spots for pizza & wings in the same shopping center). No joke. Frankly, I think I’ll drive the 10 miles to this Keystone location rather than the half mile to the location closest to us. it’s worth it. P. S. There’s a reason this chain was voted«Best Subs in Reno», and those who’ve reviewed it otherwise either have God’s gift to sandwich shops where they’re from, or no taste at all for a great sub sandwich. There’s a reason there’s always a line at any Port of Subs location, and it ain’t because of slow service.

First 0 star review ever. I’ve never been so pissed off in my life. I came in here just to use the restroom because I sometimes get severe nosebleeds. This time, I actually didn’t have tissues in my car, so I decided to stop by Port of Subs just to use their restroom. The dickheaded employee there denied me use of their restroom because I was not a customer. AREYOUFUCKINKIDDINGME? Would any normal human being deny use of a restroom to person covered in blood? I don’t think so. This review is extremely personal and I highly do not recommend anyone to come here because you might end up touching my blood on your way out.

I went there recently and ordered a «Griller» sandwich with just cheese… a simple grilled cheese if you will. I cannot stand it when I walk into a sandwich shop and the only vegetarian option is cheese and avocado. Don’t get me wrong, I love those things, I just think it is so boring. I on the fly opted for a grilled cheese(which isn’t on the menu, no vegetarian options for Grillers at all actually). It was a sad sad sandwich. Granted I could have walked the server through better however I found it to be weak that what I ordered posed as something so hard to complete in the first place. The server put very little cheese on it so that was a let down, yet he already toasted it when he showed me so I felt asking for any more would be futile. I will stick with other sandwich shops from now on, or think well in advance on what I can have them create for me so I can not be so clueless as to what to order.

This place was voted«Best Subs in Reno» and the line was out the door. I figured it would be a good choice over unhealthy Chinese food on our road trip. I really didn’t like the sandwich here. At all. It was small, soggy and didn’t taste good. Maybe I’m spoiled by good sandwich places and all the sandwich places in Reno suck, but I didn’t like this place at all. It wasn’t worth the long line. At all.

This is perhaps the best sandwich place on earth. I’m reviewing this Reno location since the chain started here, but I’ve been to many of their branches throughout Northern California. I’m not sure what their secret is. Quiznos and Togos use fresh ingredients and are both very good but their sandwiches are just nowhere near as good as Port of Subs.

Screw you, Subway. Move over Togo’s. Port of Subs is probably a good enough reason for me to want to move to Reno. I know, RENO! But I never miss a stop into my favorite sub place in the world when I’m in Nevada to visit my Emm-er-ly. They mix their mayo and mustard which i really like for some reason, and all meats and cheeses are sliced thin as paper right as you order your sandwich. Pickle slices are those lengthwise kind so you get some pickle in every bite. They just get every detail about the sandwich PERFECT, and I just love it.
