Wow! Worst service ever! We were in there for almost an hour and were only given our original order.(This is an all-you-can-eat establishment) We constantly asked for additional items, only to be forgotten. Other tables near us were given a little better service, but they too complained. The food that we received was marginal at best. One server for an entire restaurant on a Saturday night? Unbelievable.

I’ve always liked this place BUT for a little awhile it went down hill. Reading Unilocal reviews it seemed it had gotten better so we tried it again. The owner must have noticed the lack of «regulars» and stepped up their game! It is now my favorite sushi place again! welcome back!

I can customize my rolls?!? YAY! I’m pregnant and the waitress was so nice and patient with going over all of the cook rolls. In addition to their available cooked rolls, I added whatever I wanted in them– mango, avocado, sauce, tamago egg… I called the shots. I love that their ceiling is really high and that their location is in a not so busy area. I will definitely be coming back for more after I give birth to try out their raw fish.

Went for lunch and tried several sushi rolls. The price was about right for all you can eat. Nice friendly and clean atmosphere. A bit of a language barrier with the server… I don’t think I understood anything he said to me but lots of smiles and nods got us through. The rolls were just ok. I would give them another shot.

Great food, service was great, this place is a keeper… try the snow mountain, chase it down with the Rick Shaw 1 and 2… you will not be disappointed.

This is an amazing restaurant. Before it wasn’t that good because there was a chef that was a bit of a douche bag. But now there’s a few new Chef’s and they did an amazing job. They gave me a bunch of specials that were off the menu. Really amazing job. The only thing I would recommend for other customers is that they close at 9:00 not at 10:00 becausw we came in around 8:15 and tight when we were about to finish up a few last minute customers came in thinking that they close at 10:00 but all in all really amazing restaurant. If you’re there ask for the bamboo roll.

Place great just when I order the put me down for all you can eat but I only wanted individual order. What should been 30 dollar dinner turn out to be 80. Tried telling the waiter but don’t think he under stands English well. Not going there anymore

Really good menu. We were one of four people and it was pretty slow getting it. Once we did, it was really delicious.

There are two locations, both are good, but this one is personally my favorite. I always have great customer service and I personally think for what is included in all you can eat is the best deal anywhere in town, for the best taste! AND they have updated there menu which has even more selection. All of the rolls are really yummy, and they have great specials everyday. I mean come on, who doesn’t want a free sake!!!

One of our favorite Reno sushi places. Not high end in appearance at all, but always puts out a good product. Great price on all-you-can-eat, too.

By far one of my favorites in Reno and my go to choice. One of the few places I find I need no added soy sauce. Service isn’t the greatest but they are very quick and make sure I always have food in front of me. They also have great daily specials.

My father and I went here today because we hadn’t been to different sushi place(from our regular) in some time. I had eaten here a year or so beforehand and remembered it as being decent, so we thought it was worth a try. We were disappointed, to say the least. I’ll start off by saying that our food wasn’t bad; we didn’t have any of the awful experiences of others. One roll(Dark Rose) was interesting and something I had never tried before. Most of the nigiri was fine. That being said, the food«quality»(relative term) is the only thing that prevented me from giving this place a 1-star. The service here was AWFUL. We were the only two there when we walked in. The server was nice enough, but not very attentive. The(only) chef there started rushing us for an order, before we even had a chance to check the menu. When we’d ask for something, he wouldn’t even acknowledge that we’d ordered; he’d just walk over silently. As soon as he’d set our food down, he’d ask«What else you want?!» And I don’t mean politely asking«is there something else I can get you?»; it felt as if he was demanding that we order something more. If we said we’d need another minute, he’d just turn his back to us. I asked him about a roll I had ordered at one point, and he just looked at me without responding. His assistant(after a long awkward silence) reassured me. Bottom line, it felt like we were an imposition and a chore to the chef the entire time we were there; Storage Wars was much more important to him. My dad even asked me(half-redundantly) what we had done to offend him. We don’t know. My last parable to illustrate my point: I wholeheartedly believe in always leaving a tip, and usually 20% as a minimum. I left ZERO on the tip line, and I used the«customer copy» receipt to explain why it was zero: the final line stated«Tell your chef that we’re sorry for ruining his TV time». We won’t go back. We’re sticking with Hiroba; we seem to be disappointed whenever we go anywhere else.

I like this location better than the one off of Virginia. It’s a little hidden, but that means it is hardly ever busy and the service is better. Sushi is good for the price and the menu has a large selection. All you can eat for both lunch and dinner which includes appetizers, long rolls, hand rolls, etc. Only bummer is it does not include dessert.

Been a while since we have been here. From the get go treated like crap from the only chef. Didn’t have time to even look at the menu. He would not even look at us. Poorly made rolls. Loose and not much fineness. Really sad. Ask if we wanted another roll even though my husband just got one handed to him. As soon as we said no he called the other person to get our check. We were not even finished. Took the hint and we left. Didn’t even get a thank you for coming. We will not be back. And we will let our friends know.

I Love this little Hidden Jem. My mommy loves Sushi and My daddy loves a deal. So every other Saturday we go have Sushi Lunch Buffet. I like to eat the snow off the Snow Mountain Roll it’s so sweet and tasty. Daddy says the Spicy Tuna is always super fresh. And Mommy Always lets me have Mochi for desert. We always start off with the Miso soup(the desert and the soup come with the all you can eat). The Lunch price is so amazing we hope this place stays open forever!

I would recommend Rickshaw. We have been to many sushi places in and around Reno and Rickshaw is a hidden gem. It is never busy, which is a problem with a lot of the other sushi places in town. If you are looking for a night out without having to wait or try to find parking this is a great option. Especially if you are going to go out with a group of people as there is usually always space. The sushi quality is good. It is probably not the best you will ever have, but it is definitely better then some other places in Reno. Some other reviews have commented on the service. We have never had bad service. There might be cultural differences in that they owners and staff don’t speak great English, but they have always had our drinks filled on time and taken our order in a timely manner. I would recommend sitting at the bar if you have a small group as the service is fantastic. In addition, they will change the TVs to whatever you want to watch, which is nice if you want to go out and watch a game. If you have not tried Rickshaw I would recommend it. For convenience this is usually our go to sushi place in Reno.

We have driven by here several times before we tried it out. First off be warned…(I blew it) this is(best as I can tell) no relation to Rickshaws fine Asian bistro on Virginia st. This is a second hand rip off and they should be ashamed to play on the name as if they were one in the same. It’s not even the same game let alone in the same ballpark. It’s like paying for game 7 of the World Series, then arriving to find it’s the spring training equivalent to midget arm wrestling(and don’t get me wrong that has a place) it’s just not game 7 and you figure it out once you arrive, I mean you know your at the wrong place but you were expecting entertainment and your not getting game 7 so you just stay. Then you hate yourself for weeks afterwards. That was this experience. In a word… blah… dirty, poorly ran, food was average at best. Some items fair and some sucked. We were the only ones in there and the girl cook was watching«people’s court» over our shoulder, arms folded and more pissed that she was there than I was. I think she expected game 7 as well. She wasn’t just a cook with a bad attitude, she was pissed at something. Trash everywhere and they use the restaurant to store toilet paper and paper towels.(By the bathroom) take a look at the«bathroom sign»(if your already here and can’t escape) they used so much glue to secure it that the glue is oozing out the bottom and running down the wall.(Just another poor example of how clean it’s not) If the stuff I can see is this dirty then how does stuff I can’t see look. Yikes!!! Overall this was a BAD experience and I’m totally bummed. A nice sushi place in the neighborhood would have been great. Next time we will keep on driving, you should too.

Yum, love sushi. Love Rickshaw. Staff is helpful and sweet. They serve you with a smile. AYCE, best deal ever. They definitely lose money every time me and my brothers come in. Delicious nigiri, taste is fresh. Free sake deals on certain nights. Delish.

My boyfriend and I have frequented this place many times for a couple years now. After having consistent crappy service on the South Virginia Rickshaw, we decided Longely is the place to go from there on. You can call us somewhat of «sushi vets» if you will. This used to be one of our favorite spots; however, that has changed. We have never had poor quality sushi nor an undesirable confrontation with anyone here, but the service is definitely a hit or miss. Like other reviewers, I agree that some of their servers don’t speak/understand English well. This puts stress on the customer who just wants a nice experience. They often go missing for what seems like nearly 45 minutes any given time we’ve gone. Whether its waiting for an appetizer or our check to arrive, it’s getting longer and longer when it’s NOT even busy. Literally, us and two other couples maybe — it’s always dead in there. Not a good sign. My advice for them for this place to keep bringing us back, let alone stay open is make your customer service a priority. If you forget us, we are bound to remember that and not want to return, no matter how good your sushi may be. That’s where we stand now and that’s why we now frequent Kitzmo on Moana…

2013 is going to be good. I can feel it. And I started feeling it on New Years, when nothing, not even a crazed drunk who punched my friend in the face for no apparent reason, could get me down. With my focus generally being positive, I’ve subconsciously neglected to write reviews for places when I have negative things to say. And for the record, I was bummed out that my friend’s handsome mug was put in danger… In an attempt to remain positive, I’ll keep this brief. Rickshaw Sushi on Longley has, at least at first glance, all the makings for a good sushi place. The fish is fresh, there is sushi bar, a few tables, and there is all you can eat. But I have some serious, serious qualms with the way the service goes down. Places that have all-you-can-eat sushi are great(and almost every sushi place is AYCE here in Reno). And places that allow you to order AYCE and sit at a table, opposed to the sushi bar, are fantastic! However, this Rickshaw dinner table experience was tragic. We had a table of 5, all of whom were all-you-can-eaters. They gave us one order form to tally up the orders. I only mention this because with one order for the entire table, it should have been easy to keep track of. Mind you there were five people, 2 of which were hungry men with men-sized appetites, and 1 of whom(ahem, me), might as well have been a hungry man with a man-sized appetite. Of our order of approximately 24 pieces of nigiri, 6 rolls, and 6 orders of mussels(2 per order) we received 4 rolls and 18 pieces of nigiri. They brought everything out one roll at a time, and had no idea what roll was what(which is frustrating, especially if you’re like me and constantly trying something new). Since we could not determine which rolls were whose, we all ate everything, which was fine. But then, as we were expecting more sushi to come, we sat… and sat… ANDSAT. We finally asked where the rest of our sushi was, and they said we didn’t have any more coming. In the entire 20 minutes we were waiting, no one offered us more order forms, no one even seemed to acknowledge our presence! I get that you don’t think I can eat this much. And I wouldn’t disagree, if I was either 1) new to sushi or 2) not sitting with four other ridiculously hungry adult sushi veterans. If your aim is to save cost on wasted sushi, I get it. But other places conspicuously state that any wasted sushi could be subject to a charge. Couldn’t you do this too? We ended up having to reorder just about everything, and again, waiting. I asked the waitresses several times to check on our order. No one seemed to understand anything I was asking. The most infuriating part was that the place was not even busy. GR. But for the fact that the hamachi was as fresh as butter, and I have loyalties to the original Rickshaw(which is radical, btw), I would not be able to give this place three stars. So much for brevity. This is my karmic retaliatory punch to the dome of that drunk guy! Now, on to better things.
