Had a terrible time. First my server was not very nice. Second, made my kids wait for their food while everyone else was served. Third, spoke with manager and then it just got awkward. Server got snotty and tried to show no I’ll feelings, but just pushed us aside. Made faces and failed to connect with us. This was my wedding dinner that we did with our closest friends. This has ruined the meal. Dessert, I did not have the stomach to ask had a hard time enjoying my dinner also. More things happened that made the night very uncomfortable. Please stay away from this place if it means anything to you or your family. I will never come back again.

I have always loved going to Macroni Grille but this time was really disappointing. They had removed my favorite dish the salad didn’t have the great creamy Italian dressing and the bread wasn’t warm. The service was so so I think I will have to find another go to restaurant when I go to Reno.

Great bar Happy Hour 4 – 7 every day. Wine & Drafts $ 3, $ 5 pizza, $ 4.50 apps. To-go Dinners and lunches are very reasonable and fast. Staff are as friendly as it gets. Love the HH Pizzas. A flatbread style thin crust pepperoni and only $ 5. Peroni, Sam Adams Seasonal, Icky and BudLite on tap.

We stopped in to the Macaroni Grill for a friends birthday lunch and this is where she wanted to go. I’m a sucker for ravioli and I had heard they have really good ravioli. They share a parking lot with Barnes & Noble and Great Basin Brewing so I imagine parking can be an issue during busy times. They have two dining options — the first is with their traditional menu where you sit and a waiter takes care of you, the second is their express dining. It’s sort of a lunch line where they make the food fresh, but it’s a limited menu and they do it for both lunch and dinner. We went with the traditional dining and were seated promptly. Our waiter was friendly and he kept the drinks and fresh bread coming. The bread was delicious, piping hot with rosemary and they have olive oil and balsamic for dipping. I ordered the Mushroom Ravioli for lunch and it was really good with lots of mushrooms. However, I think the plate may have been left under the warmer a bit too long. The plate was scalding hot — no biggie but the parts of ravioli without sauce were very dry and almost crunchy. That’s really the only reason I’m giving them 3 stars instead of 4. I was really looking forward to that cheat lunch and it just didn’t live up to my expectations.

Lousy loaded fries, and was charged $ 10.00 for a bowl of minestrone soup. Service was ok, nothing to write home about. I was very disappointed, I was expecting something great, and received poor. Sorry, but that’s it.

This had to be the worst Mac Grill experience ever. The food was about 3 stars, but the service was horrid. I wont name anyone, but our server did not care about anything. First off, server seemed annoyed to serve us, had to pull teeth to get balsamic with the bread. That was after not having any water for 10 or so minutes after being seated. When the food was brought, server just sat it down and ask anything else. Well, yes. Parmesan, red pepper etc would be nice. Again, server seemed annoyed to have to get these items. Then, when we paid the bill, I was not even fished signing and the server came up and tried to grab the unsigned receipt as if he was just trying to get out of there. Everything about our experience after finally getting water seemed rushed and this place does not seem to have any organization with the service. There were two servers and about 4 tables at this time, so not sure what the problem was. The food needed to be salted and it still was very average.

Slowest service ever, two hour to get diner half a hour to get water with only half the restaurant full. Manager was not helpful food was below average and orders were forgotten.

The best part about our experience was walking out the door. It took about 10 minutes before our hostess noticed we hadn’t been visited by a server. Once the waiter came the service actually got worse! Gino(run if he’s your server!) arrived as though he’d been at the table right after being seated. No apology or promptness to the service thereafter. He then proceeded to spill olive oil all over the table, sloshed drinks everywhere(of which they were out of Coke), and bring out bread within a whopping 20 minute time period. Everyone around us had been served by the time our drink order was taken. The only time he offered to refill drinks was after we asked for the bill and a box. His attitude was terrible(we even remained polite throughout the whole ordeal and he continued to be rude and disrespectful, tossing the to-go box on the table and crumbling the bill before briskly walking off with the debit card). We have never experienced such profoundly terrible service. Gino takes the cake on this one and we will never return.

My meal was very good. My waitress was excellent. The price was a little higher than other restaurants with a similar dish.

Ate there last night with a group of about 50(with reservations). Room was so crowded servers were unable to get around tables. Everything had to be passed from one end of the table to the other. Entrees were prepared by type. That is all of one item was prepared and then so on. So in our case my wife’s entrée came out first and mine came out last. We were offered 3 dessert choices. After waiting approx. 45 mins for the chocolate cake they finally brought out the lemon dessert, with no explanation, for those that didn’t get their chocolate cake. Finally after the lemon dessert was delivered it was apparent why it took so long, it was still partially frozen! Food was nothing to get excited about and a glass(actually ½ glass) was definitely overpriced at $ 8.50. Won’t be in any hurry to go back or make a recommendation that anyone else does either!

I and my wife’s first reno attempt at a restaurant and we stood at the host station waiting to be seated or greeted for nearly 5 min a waitress eventually walked by and asked us if we needed anything she attempted to ask the hostess about seating us she shrugged her shoulders and walked away so the waitress sat us no one smiling or friendly it was not packed décor was nice with out door seating avaliable but after being seated in the middle of the room no one around us I liked the separation with the wife but no service employees standing around joking with each other while we sat hungry I read my menu 7 times so we walked out I have never felt so insulted by a restaurant

Not the Romano’s Macaroni Grill that we used to come to? It has changed over or the chef left. We got seated and waited… Finally, another waiter noticed us and came over and asked if we had been helped? Of course we hadn’t! A waiter came over and asked if we were ready to order we said yes since we had been waiting quite some time! We ordered an appetizer and our meals and drinks all at once. No bread came, waiting for our appetizer, I finally asked our waiter if our appetizer was coming out? He left and came back and said it would come out with our meal, if that was ok??? NO, it’s called an appetizer. Food comes out, meatballs are missing from the create your own pasta, we pointed it out, asked again for bread. He brought the check and we weren’t even done with our meals, he was quick for that! I told him, please get our meatballs, reluctantly he brought back 4 meatballs in a side dish??? The food was not as I remembered and not as tasty. The service was awful! Unless you feel like asking for everything twice, don’t bother going here. I don’t know what the problem was with this place??? Won’t be going back for awhile. Oh, the manager said I’ll take care of the appetizer for you, no he didn’t, the full price was on our bill. For the money we paid it wasn’t worth it. REALLYDISAPPOINTED at the whole thing.

My family and I are not high maintenance customers in any way. When we arived were seating by a very nice host. As we sat down out waitress served the family next to us and promptly walked past us. No eye contact, no hello, no «I will be right with you». We waiting 23 minutes to be exact, as she walked passed us 4 other times, not saying one word or attempting to make eye contact. Never have I been stood up by a waitress.

We came here for a change as we hadn’t eaten here in quite a while. The hostess seated us promptly within moments of our arrival. Next, came Joe our server who took excellent care of our needs. We started with Calamari as an appetizer which was excellent. My wife had the blu salad which she said was great. I had the Capris salad which was excellent. Next my wife ordered the mix grill which was way to spiceynfor her as they used way too many red peppers. I ordered the steak med rare and it was cook perfectly, but was way tuff and had no flavor. If it wasn’t for Joe’s service I would have given 2 stars

MENU: To-go, host gave me a thick paper menu to look at. I was surprised not to see any pizza on the menu. I’m from CA, and the one we have has pizza unless it was a recent thing where they no longer serve pizza. Ordered the chicken marsala(which was yummy) and a new entre cannelloni Bolognese(which I wasn’t a big fan of, I thought it would have more meat, but it was basically a cheese and spinach Italian cheesy omelette with some meat sauce spooned on top). Salad to-go was room temperature, lettuce was soft and limp and not fresh and crispy. PARKING: outside parking shared with a big outside shopping area across from Petco and a Brewing Co. OUTSIDE: location itself is nice in a well developed shopping/restaurant area. Your typical look of a Macaroni Grill. Lots of outside seating on their wrap around patio. Refer to my photos. Nobody was sitting outside though, which was too bad since the weather was nice. I like how to the right of the front door there are nice benches and shade in case you need to wait for a table or for your to-go food. INSIDE: like all Macaroni Grills, darker ambiance, but setup and décor was the same. Bar on the left. Hostess counter straight ahead of you. Double door entrance as you come in with a second door to open. OVERALL: A-OK. Nice that they have to-go option and curbside to-go option. I was disappointed about the cannelloni, but even more disappointed about the salad. Usually salads are chilled.

We ate here once, I love macaroni grill for their fresh pasta, I was disappointed going, which was right around prom or homecoming so there was a ton of young kids there. The dinner was decent, nothing to write home about, and I ordered a house table red wine. The kid waiting our table was flustered which was understandable given that they were busy and we just so happen to decide to go on that one night. Oops, who knew? He brought me my wine in a HOT mug. Who on earth brings ANY wine in a mug, not to mention a Hot mug? Wine is served in a wine glass. Funniest thing about it was he drew on our table noting a wine glass and a tic mark. My boyfriend asked the waiter if he had a glass like he drew, and he obviously got upset and flustered saying they always serve house wine in a mug. I understand its traditional to serve it in a glass, in Italy, but if you know anything about wine, red optimal flavors are represented in 60–65 °F degrees, white a bit colder 50–55 °F degrees. If in the least they should give the option to customers of traditional customs or in a stem glass which they have, instead of serving in a hot glass ruining the flavor and raising the temperature to 80+F degrees. Hard for us to want to come back here unless it’s ½ off.

Meal was good. We came for dinner. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. I like the way it used to be with two large meatballs. They were hand packed here and made fresh. Now they are small and give you more like 8 little ones. They are frozen and processed. Not even close. I don’t like when chains try to cut corners and go cheap. They sacrifice quality. Some damn bean counter came up with this. I will never order this again. Not worth it. I can do better at home. When I go out for dinner, I want something I can’t get at home. Everything else was good.

Bön Appétit! Not really, If you go to Macaroni Grill or Olive Garden demanding Authentic Italian food you are too hipster or just a donkey(ahem you know I meant). I always get great service here, the prices are fair and food is good for a chain restaurant. if you use their free appetizer coupon, you can get 2 entrees and an appetizer for less than $ 20. That’s HARD to beat anywhere else. is authentic? no, it’s Macaroni Grill. Are you too good for it? No you aren’t

This review is less about the food(which is generally good), and not about the service either(which is usually great). Rather this review is about the somewhat dishonest $ 7, 7 minutes lunch special. We were short on time, and on a budget after Christmas shopping. We went into the Macaroni Grill for lunch and were seated as usual. Only to find out we had to get up, walk over to the«Kitchen Counter» to place our order and sit in a different seating area in order to get the $ 7 lunch special. An awkward experience to say the least. Probably less likely to return now.
