Honestly, I really just come here for their frosties, either vanilla or the old standby, chocolate. I must be nuts to be craving a frosty when it’s winter and colder outside than the frosty! I’ve tried their burgers and chicken sandwiches but never really liked them. They have a convenient drive-thru and there’s usually not a long line. The intercom works well and you don’t have to yell out your order or have to tell them they got the wrong order 5 times. ‘Prices are competitive with the nearby McDonalds, Jack in the box, Taco Bell or Burger King off Keystone and 4th. They are located next to the Asian store and an empty lot across from the car wash off 5th Street. My only gripe is that we keep ordering 2 frosties and consistently getting only one spoon. I rarely see diners in the dining room but they remodeled it a few years ago and it’s welcoming. Ample parking.

I used to go to this Wendy’s back in my Reno High days, used to LOVELOVELOVE Wendy’s, it was far and above better than all fast food restaurants, then I learned they put old hamburgers in the chili, really grossed me out, then it seems like their meat quality went down even if you buy the $ 5-$ 7 burgers, no flavor, if you do eat at Wendy’s your best off getting some low priced, as it’s all the same lackluster meat. I am giving 1 star to this place for 2 reasons, first, it smells in here. It smells like some had a dirty mop and mopped all the floors, that or it’s got a severe case of mold and or mildew. All I can say is something FUNKY is SMELLINGBAD here. I smelled it in the bathroom to the order window, and everywhere in between where there is tile. 2nd they have a frosty machine that is on the fritz, makes noise that at first sounds like a rat. It’s very loud and you cannot dine in the room anywhere without hearing this constant putter. There’s at least 20 – 30 sounds per minute, and not pleasant ones. The food here is okay, I really don’t enjoy the meat. My favorite part is the fries. I got a baked potato yesterday and they are still serving trans fat laden buttery spread, didn’t they get the heart attack memo about this? My guess is management is severely lacking or this place is about to close, because if funky permeating smells and large malfunctioning machines are okay which are heard throughout the restaurant, then it’s time to close up and do something else.

Had some chili was delicious. Tables were not dirty. Bathroom was clean. Love it here. Definitely my favorite fast food restaurant. And trust me I’ve been too a lot of fast food restaurants. Would definitely come back.

This particular Wendy’s is reasonably clean, competent staff, don’t feel like I’m going to get shot through the window. Standard issue Wendys. Thats about all I ask. Wendys dollar menu isn’t the wonderland it was back in the mid-2000s but it’s still among the better of fast food. The Double Stack is basically a slightly smaller double cheeseburger, that w/an OK garden or Caesar salad on the side is only 3.50. Plus a free Jr. Frosty if you got the«pay $ 1 for free Frosties the rest of the year» tag they were offering a couple months ago, that’s a pretty decent little meal for 3.50. Sub fries in for the salad and it goes down to 3.00. Sub a single cheeseburger in and it’s 2.00! I used to get a chili in the mix too, but it’s gone up 50 cents in price but isn’t as rich as it used to be. Now it’s more like chili-flavored soup. That and the chicken nuggets, which used to be the best around and 5 for $ 1, now it’s 4 for $ 1 and they taste like Tyson oven crap. That’s at all Wendys though, not just this particular one. Burgers are still among the best of the national lower-end chains.

This is for all the burger joints I’ve been trying. I’d be willing to pay at least 40 cents more for my burger if I could get it on a whole wheat bun! That would be Whole Wheat, not brown colored white bread. Wendy, you have the leading burger so far.

My order has been wrong more times than not. As fast as you get the food it’s pretty clear the food is precooked, which also explains why it’s also cold most times.

These new Wendy’s burgers are pretty damn good. They come in an oversized bun the same kind that Archies has, with a pretty thick beef patty, crunchy pickles, red onions, heaven with an iced Coca~Cola and a baked potato. Is it lunch time yet?

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do… Gayle and I left Genoa NV yesterday at around Noon and headed to RNO to drop off my son for his flight back to PDX. Then it was onwards to West I-80 for the long drive home. Along for the ride was one of Gayle’s sons and his wife. But despite the mountains of food available that morning at Grammie’s house, he mentioned leaving the airport that he was hadn’t had anything to eat that morning, and had a hunger headache to match. And since by his own admission, this son can be a «little» irritating, off we went in search of a fast food fix. Those little food, fuel and accommodation signs are really handy sometimes. And at one of the first post-RNO exits, we were off the freeway, and with a few turns into this Wendy’s. We walked in and out in a matter of a few minutes and were very quickly back on our way. The food was hot, fresh, and friendly, and just what the dopamine doctor ordered. From then on, we enjoyed the flip side of his personality — witty, smart, and never boring.

This is my neighborhood Wendy’s, and my second fast food choice(behind Taco Bell) when the urge strikes. My most frequent reason for coming here is to get a baked potato — I’ll take mine with chives, no butter, salt, pepper, and lots of sour cream — on the side. Rather than In-N-Out Burger, I come to Wendy’s for a fresh clean single. I love the 99 cent menu because the hamburgers aren’t too big. Wendy’s burgers aren’t greasy and they aren’t made with cereal. Other than that, this is a typical fast food burger that comes with an air bun. If I’m really hungry, I’ll order two 99 cent burgers, throw out the bottom buns(cause top buns are better!), and make a double burger. One problem is getting a baked potato late at night. The store lets themselves run out, and then tries to talk you into waiting 10 minutes«because we have potatoes in the oven.» Ummm, I’d say they mean the microwave and if you swallow this line they’ll be selling you some swampland before you know it. ***Edited because Lakewood G., the guru of all retail knowlege, has assured me that Wendy’s using a particular convection oven that indeed bakes a potato in about 10 minutes! Amazing.*** I also like the frosty, even though I only buy one about every two years. In my experience, Wendy’s quality has been very consistent, so if I’m on the road travelling, I’ll hit a Wendy’s drive through with less reservation than I have about taking my chances on other fast food options. Drive thru is the only way to go because who wants to sit in a Wendy’s? Traffic at the drive thru window of this location isn’t bad and they are relatively fast filling orders. Warning: Do check your bag as I’ve gotten wrong orders more than once from a variety of English as a third language if at all types. Nothing sucks more than being set on eating that item you wanted most only to find you got something else instead! I miss Dave.
