I lived at benson downs for 18 months. The walls are super thin and I if your upstairs neighbor is inconsiderate then forget about sleep. I can count on my hand the nights I slept well while living there.
Management seemed nice that is until I moved out and Laura sent me a bill informing that in addition to keeping my security deposits, I would have to cough up another $ 180. Apparently I had caused excessive wear and tear on the carpet that was not new when I moved in. I wish Laura had told me from the beginning not to use the carpet. I even sent Laura the receipt after I got the carpet cleaned but she didn’t give a damn. Mind you, I got my full deposit returned at a place I had lived in for over 5 years before I moved here. The water heater was broken when I moved in and my electric bill was consistently over $ 160 for 6 months.
Rent here only if you have no options. If you do move in please do not expect your deposit back and don’t expect any sleep.

This place is great!!! After 2 months of searching for a place to live in the renton area we decided to go with benson downs. The grounds are always clean, the facilities are nice and professionally kept and the staff is awesome! The office team is always welcoming and the grounds/maintenance team are always pleasant to work with. The only downside is parking but it is the best parking situation the Renton area can offer. You get one covered parking stall or garage and the rest is open/first come first serve basis. Most communities in the area require you to pay for additional parking per month, so I guess looking around for a spot is better than paying 50+ per month for an additional parking spot. All in all I will be renewing my lease ad recommending this property to all looking for a nice place to live for an affordable price.

Great place to live, close to Seattle, shopping, food; but to get five stars the workout center equipment needs attention. Fix those and five it is. I would recommend for couples and families but be aware parking can be difficult at times.

Very nice property, aprtments are nice size and well maintained… however, worst management ever. Never move in and have a discrepancy about any financial issues, because they will all of a sudden have amnesia… Also, they are a little over priced and if your lease runs out and you wanna go month-to month, the rent jums up tremendously… Could stay in a house for their prices
