I got my wedding cake from here. Jennifer, the cake designer, and I discussed details over the phone and I sent her a couple of images so she would have an idea of how I wanted it to turn out. It was fondant with three tiers of square cakes. There was piping on the cakes, flowers, and draping on the sides. The cake topper was a penguin groom and bride made out of fondant.
The cake was absolutely adorable. The only disappointing thing was that one of the feet on the penguin groom looked like it about to fall off. Overall, the cake was simple, yet elegant and if I had to request it all over again I would only ask for a few minor changes.
I had three different flavors and I’m not sure if it was because it was my first time having fondant, but I didn’t think the cake didn’t taste good. Not bad, but nothing special. I think the appearance definitely beat out the taste.
