Econo Lodge Near Bellevue Square

This is without a doubt the most disgusting place I have EVER stayed. The room was gross, had stains in the carpet and smelled HORRIBLE. Not to mention the fact that the «$ 100» insurance they hold on the card that is supposed to be rebated back when you check out NEVER WAS REBATED TO MY CARD!!! $ 105.80 is still on my card. They told me countless times that they released the funds but they never did. I now have had to open a dispute with my bank against the transaction at this dump!
DO NOT STAY HERE. You’re better off sleeping in a car.

First of all, it’s a motel. Listed as a hotel but is a motel. First impression is that it’s a sketchy location, there’s a $ 100 «damage fee» that isn’t listed anywhere. For a 2 bed, room it’s $ 300 dollars for 2 nights. The second lock on the door is broken like it was kicked in, the first lock isn’t automatic so someone could follow you in. When we first pulled up there was man who looked like he did tons of drugs, the guy at the desk «chol» was wearing unproffesional clothing. The lady who checked us in didn’t tell us how much our total was, and didn’t give us a receipt. The Window has a single lock on it that is flimsy and could easily be broken into, there’s terrible lighting. Because of the $ 100 damage fee, we searched everything and took pictures of everything and then made sure the front desk people knew they were there before we even stayed here. This isn’t a place you should stay if you’re just visiting Renton or are here for a vacation, this is a place I would stay if i was running from something and needed a quick stop before changing my appearance and getting out of dodge. I wouldn’t recommend this «hotel» to anyone.
Also they say there’s free wifi, the name is «guest» and password is «guest» but there’s not a connection available called guest, «econolodge107» is the wifi that was available to me but I was the shittiest wifi ever, it was basically like not having wifi at all.

Stayed here one night last night with my teenage son. Guy at the front desk was all business but not rude. Seemed like he wanted out transaction done quickly which I appreciated. Ground floor room in the back of the building. Room was clean, had pretty much everything, carpet was newer, granite counters, furniture was a little beat up, the bathroom floor was newer tile but the tub/​shower was old. It was clean though. Really no complaints about this place.

EWWWWW. How could you EVER stay here?
First time I ever checked into a hotel, then left for another hotel, sacrificing over $ 90! Fortunately, the Best Western Executel, about 15 min. south, had a room left… gladly paid $ 125 for it to get away from EconoLodge. Will be complaining to Choice Hotels and suggesting they revoke the EconoLodge franchise for this operator.
3.5 stars? SERIOUSLY? How is that even possible? The rooms are tiny. My room literally smelled awful. I just couldn’t imagine being able to sleep there. The bed was spongy. The Kleenex dispenser was empty. A terrible sense of insecurity abounds… Window opens way too far, and had no screen, on the first floor. I didn’t stick around to see if there were bedbugs, but if EVER there was a place that would have them, this is it. I didn’t sit down, I didn’t unpack. I just called the Best Western and left. No point in arguing with the front desk.
If this place is still in business a year from now, it’s only because people like me were too stupid to read the reviews FIRST (I just looked at the stars on Google Maps and thought, «3.5. How bad could it be?»)

The Econolodge brand is synonymous with budget friendly accommodations for the common traveler. Whether you are here for business or pleasure, Econolodge has got you covered. At least, it was relatively cheap and accessible via the I-​405 in the Seattle area.
I wanted to be in the Renton area instead of the Seattle-​Tacoma airport area, so I found this property on
for a pretty decent deal. I believe it was around $ 65/​night during my recent stay on the last 2 days of April 2015. I got room 116 during my stay, which was sort of a pain to get to on the property. This Econolodge is probably a rebrand of sorts, but I can’t be too sure. The pool was in the middle of cleaning or maintenance, so that kind of sucked, especially when I needed poolside service during my stay. Oh well. This Econolodge is conveniently located off the I-​405. There was a Starbucks and a 7-​Eleven convenience store next door, so I didn’t have to travel too far to get food and drink, as well as a Jack in the Box. Included with the price of admission, was free wifi with password. I admit that the wifi wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be and it kept disconnecting from my iPhone from time to time. On the bright side, there was a free complementary breakfast spread each morning for guests, which was great. The overall experience here was good. While the price of admission was good, the comfort of the room was a little better.
This Econolodge location is located at 4710 Lake Washington Blvd in Renton, WA. Direct access on and off of the I-​405 and easy to get to when you are trying to get here after a day of travel by air and/​or car. Although there was some bit of difficulty trying to find the entrance to the property, after a while, you’ll figure it out. The entrance is shared by both Econolodge and Denny’s restaurant. There’s a tip that should be okay. Like many hotels, this Econolodge accepts credit cards and cash for their many rooms. The parking here is for guests only, which can be limiting, but ample at the same time — depending on when you arrive. It’s best to park right in front of your room for best results and not have to hunt for your car when you need to. The check in process was good and expedient. The check out process was also fast and punctual.
The room itself seemed to see better days, although it was organized and clean. Everything seemed to be in order, yet empty at the same time. You have your mini fridge and the large screen tv at your disposal and the queen bed to sleep in. Quite fun to be in bed and watching tv. The bed comfort was good, since I got 7 hours of sleep both nights I was there, so that was a good thing. I didn’t use the coffee maker and the TV was working okay. The ambiance of the room could use a spruce up, but overall, the price paid to stay here is good and adequate. I would stay here again, if my travels permit me to do so. I would recommend the Econolodge brand and this particular Econolodge location for your Seattle /​Renton travel needs. Budget friendly and a clean place to stay. It’s a winner!

Was one of the cheapest places I found so it’s only fair to judge it as such, staff were pretty good and the room was clean enough. Wifi is pretty slow and there are no outlets to charge your phone unless you start unplugging stuff. Room feels dark and kinda depressing but I didn’t spend enough time there to care.
Breakfast was way too crowded. The room where they serve breakfast is tiny and it gets messy because people are bumping into each other, no eggs which is disappointing. I just had a cereal and left. Thankfully there’s a Denny’s and a McDonald’s nearby so you can take the money you saved there and have a much better breakfast.
I think the location is pretty convenient if you want to go Bellevue but don’t want to spend the money to stay in Bellevue haha. I don’t have one major gripe at all to dissuade myself or anyone to not come back. Crappy breakfast is an excuse to go try somewhere else, a decent generic Continental breakfast is still just that.

The hotel is alright. They tried charging me an early check in fee for showing up at 2 and check in is at 3. I have never heard of a early check in fee…

The free WiFi is a croc. The signal is so weak, even my phone cannot find it. The TV remote is for a different brand of TV, and therefore does not work. I can hear every word of the guests next door. And there is no where to plug in my phone next to the bed without unplugging either the clock or the light. Oh and no coffee maker but a mini fridge that defrosts itself. NOT a business-​travel friendly hotel by any means.

This Econo Lodge was your standard run of the mill motels. Nothing too exciting or special. I didn’t have a bad experience with my stay. I ended up booking online through Expedia via an app for a 1 night stay. When I checked in I was upgraded to a larger bed since I guess they had some sort of mix-​up. Couldn’t complain about that! The room was large, clean and had all the amenities I needed. The shower was hot and the water flow worked well, which isn’t true of all mortals. Staff were friendly and the continental breakfast offered more than most places, you waffles! As many have mentioned the rooms don’t have microwaves or coffee makers, well at least mine didn’t. Yes it did have a fridge. The wifi sucks, it really sucks. It was slower than dial-​up internet, it brought me back to the days of AOL back in 1995. The surrounding area was nice, plenty to eat and really easy access to the freeway. I guess I don’t have really much to complain about especially for $ 89 a night (at least on Expedia). Are there better places out there? Yes, for sure… but in a pinch this Econo Lodge worked out well.

It’s a motel– not a five star hotel. Reading thru the reviews, we were a bit nervous but this is a decent place. Staff was friendly, free breakfast included more than the usual pastries and OJ– they had make-​ur-​own waffles, fruit, cereals, juices. Near a Starbucks but you have to cross a main street without the benefit of a stoplight or crosswalk. Also Denny’s and Subway right there. The rooms were ok– TRY TO GET THE THIRD/​top FLOOR– if you are on the lower floors, you can easily hear the people walking above you.
For the price we were pretty satisfied.

Booked through Priceline and when I asked for a king or a double queen, manager Jessica wanted an extra $ 20 per day. I’m so glad I didn’t agree to it, because this place is terrible!
I think they are only in business because of Hotwire and Priceline, otherwise no one would stay there intentionally knowing what a poorly run hotel it is. They didn’t put two towels in the room, they had no extra pillows, the lights didn’t work, and the manager really didn’t seem to care about any if these problems, except to shrug their shoulders and say they can’t help these issues.
The only positive side is the managers always have a cheery attitude regardless, which is impressive and can only lead one to believe that they have serious delusions about the state of their operation.

I jumped on this hotel because of the value so close to downtown Seattle. It turns out to be too good to be true. Here are my thoughts:
Pros: location; clean; dog friendly
Cons: you need geo-​caching experience to find the entrance; the sheets were not only scratchy but also constantly popped off the mattress during the night; no decaf coffee; no microwave or coffee makers in the room; ice maker was out of ice; the A/​C only works if you are in the room; therefore, when returning to the room, plan on a half hour for room to cool down (not much of a problem most of the year); the requested extra pillow arrived at midnight; an ice chest works better than the in-​room fridge; wi-​fi was spotty.

Horrible place to stay! I travel a lot and the owner of this place was the most rude person I’ve ever had to deal with. I’m sorry but the guy made us pay extra because the towels were dirty (and when I wanted to ask him about it he walked away and ignored me. Later on my husband and I went to the front desk and he showed me a hand towel and said we can’t reuse dirty ones. I said that’s not the one we used. He said I know, this is just an example. I asked him to show us the ones we used and he wouldn’t). He also showed me a picture of a baseboard chunk that had fallen off and said we have to pay damage. My husband and I had no idea what he was talking about. My husband told him to prove that was from our room and he said we had to trust him). His wife was also upset because my 3 year old was «playing in the hotel room». What ever that means? She was upset about it. The thing that made me mad and to come give a review was their attitude towards me. I’m just not use to people treating me like that when I’ve not done anything.

Booked a room here for 5 nights, 6 days. Day one, there is no coffee maker but does have a small mini fridge. What kind of hotel doesn’t have a coffee maker but has a refrigerator? Odd. This is one of those park in front of your room type motels. It’s old and divey looking but relatively clean other than the frustratingly slow draining sink that needs to be snaked. The tv is one of those big boxy things that is more static than clear picture. The wifi does not work 80% of the time, and when it does it is painfully slow. The bed is very comfortable, surprising.
Water pressure was really good until day 3 when they CUT OFF THE WATER around 1:30pm. Apparently this was a PLANNED thing, they just didn’t tell any of the guests. Yeah, a hotel with no water, I’m not happy to say the least. Went down to the office about an hour after I noticed the water was off and was told I had to wait for them (like as in the manager and his helper, not even plumbers!) to fix the pipes and then for the glue to dry, so sorry! At least it’s only your building, the rest of the hotel is fine! Nope, they can’t give me another room to use to take a shower or even a rest room where I can flush the toilet, no drinking water — TOO BAD! I was told that the water *should* be back on by 5pm. By 5:30 I’m getting mad, called the 1 – 800 number for Choice Hotels and she flat out told me to go to the front desk and DEMAND a refund and check out after she called the hotel and they said it would be «several more hours» until the water was back on.
If there was no issue with the water this would have been a 2.5 star place. At least the manager didn’t argue about giving me a refund and I was out of there quick.

Stopped here for a night to rest up from hours of driving. The bedspreads and old TVs make it seem like a dive, however the rooms are very clean and with free breakfast, pool, and other amenities, you can’t beat the price. If you don’t need the height of luxury this is a great hotel. My only complaint is that I couldn’t get the free Wifi to work with my laptop. I didn’t pursue that matter and its possible it was just a compatibility issue.

I primarily stay at choice hotel selections while traveling and I must say this is one of the best values of any hotel I have EVER stayed it. perfect location, free breakfast, free wifi, free pool, free tv, free showtime… did i mention everything is free?
And the price, UNBEATABLE. this is where I am staying from now on, when I am up in the Seattle area.

Friendly family owned hotel, very affordable prices! Free Breakfast in the morning! Free Wi-​Fi, Area is surrounded by convenient food places with bars like Denny’s Restaurant and Dino’s Pub, convenient store next door, McDonald’s, Starbucks and much much more! Had an awesome stay with my friends, walking distance to the beach nearby which is great for picnics and BBQ’s even more stores shopping center and food places near by the beach!!! Walking distant to the Seahawks training facility! walk or drive to The Landing shopping center!!! Short Driving distance to Bellevue Square Mall or Factioria Mall.
