Horrible customer service. Seems like u have to be vietnamese or a regular customer to get service right away. We sat their for awhile before our order was taken. Other than that the phở made up for it. Don’t think we will be returning.

Excellent phở, fast service. I love their spring rolls. I’m not crazy about their teriyaki chicken, but it’s a phở shop, so that isn’t their ‘bread-n-butter.’ My 16 year old nephew loves this place. This boy could eat an elephant and ask for seconds and this place fills him up.

The young waiter and waitress are terrible. The ‘boy-looking’ young fake blondwaitress/hostess/cashier is the worst of all. Bad attitude and forgetful. Took our order without writing it down thinking she was good. NO! she got the order wrong and was not apologetic. TERRIBLE place and bad young staff. DONOTGOTHERE! Food was bad, too… lots of MSG and SALT!

I am glad I didn’t read the reviews prior to coming here because those reviews would most likely prevent me from coming here. They have a main dining room and a smaller dining area next to it with a few more tables. I ate here 3x during lunch hours since I saw the place occupied with patrons giving me the signal that this was a safe place to eat and it was. First time I came here I ordered their short ribs with rice. I love it. Second Time I ordered their teriyaki chicken with rice. I liked it but was a little too sweet. Third time I ordered a small bowl of phở with beef, tendons, meatballs, tripe and I love it. I haven’t tried this place during dinner time. I liked the plentiful street parking. I tried to park at the bank of America parking, but there was always some attendant there giving out tickets so street parking was the best option for me. I haven’t received any derogatory attitude by servers, but experienced just quick service. I guess I am just used to most Asian restaurants not being too polite mainly I think because they may not be comfortable speaking the English language and try to minimize their interaction with their non native speakers. I am used to this and just point at the menu if I have to and leave it at that and enjoy my food. I am sure when they see me more often, they probably will be more relax and comfortable and make more small talk with me and this happens all the time. Oh somebody asked about what happened to Phở Hoa that was originally the name of this place. Well I heard by some of the patrons that the old owner had to sell the place to this new owner due to his gambling problem and losses. So that is how Phở 801 noodle soup exist in its place. Yea i’m a fan of this place… I will try to update my experience when I have a chance to come here for dinner a few times to get the feel of this place even more.

Not going back for many reasons, all already described. Many other better options with better food and service.

If you’ve lived in Renton for a while now, you already kno this is the spot phở comes out promptly. Large portion, even if you order the regular size. Soup is never cold. Service is not amazing, buttttt decent. It aint no 5 star restaurant if you really wanted to kno. I wouldn’t expect too much, i mean its in down town renton, by the transit center. People fail to realize this but its one of my go to spots on a rainy ass day. Or on a lunch break. Or after a long day at school w/thee homieees.

The only reason I give them 1 star is because no stars isn’t an option. This place used to be a 4 or 5 star joint when they where phõ hoa I’m not sure if they changed owners or what but they have definitely gone down hill over the past couple of years. I’ve tried to give them the another try a few times but always with the same result, paying waaay too much for sub par food and extremely rude racist service(they don’t care for whitey) They’ll never see my business again. So if you’re looking for good Phõ in renton, Phõ world next to Freddy’s up on 108th is definitely worth the 2 minute drive up the hill. Great food, big portions and excellent service.

Wow, I feel bad reading all the horrible reviews for this place. I personally think authentic phở restaurants will rarely ever provide great service for the cheap price consumers are paying to have family working or employees being paid well below minimum wage under the table, but phở here isn’t the cheapest. Don’t get me wrong, it is still affordable, but you won’t be finding $ 6 deals like in Seattle. Granted, it’s conveniently located in Downtown Renton and open late too for a quick phở fix on cold/sick/hangover days. This placed used to be Phở Hoa, I’m not sure why the name change, but the interior and menu is still the same. There’s a frozen yogurt/boba bar connected inside and it’s great. The phở itself is good, flavorful with the greasy-ness floating on top of the broth, mmmhmm, what wonder MSGs adds onto food. Don’t get the meatballs though, it’s quite hard to chew. Tell me about your experience if you’ve been here or is going to after reading this review:)

I was actually a bit scared to try this place when they changed their name because I read so many reviews on their bad customer service. But I really wanted phở and the place I usually go to was closed before I had to work so I ate here instead. I can somewhat see what most of the reviews mean, I felt rushed to make an order immediately after the menu was placed on the table and literally only looking at it for a second. I guess it’s more during the night when they can be more cranky? Our order came out really fast though. The quality of the phở was so delicious! I always like getting a #2, which has briskets and steak. The blend of ingredients and hoisin sauce created a really tasty flavor. I had Thai iced tea here also but it was a bit sweet to finish at the restaurant, I had to finish the rest at work. I even had summer rolls to go — very chewy and delicious with the peanut sauce. Overall the food is wonderful and the wait time is fast. Service is a bit questionable to me, but as long as I eat I’m good! I’m definitely coming back… Maybe not close to closing though.

I wasn’t expecting to make a stop in Renton to eat phở for lunch. Yet here I was one day, so might as well knock out another Unilocal review. It turned out to be a good choice. They have some of the best phở I’ve ever tasted. Prices were low, and since I got the extra large, I left quite full despite being hungry when starting(that doesn’t happen very often). They even got the bowl of phở out in five minutes. Service did seem a little rude and impersonal, though. I won’t let that bother me too much because I’ll probably never come here again, but I enjoyed my brief visit.

ZEROSTARS. Rude bitch. Walked in 10 minutes prior to closing and didn’t know they were closing. The first thing she does is yell and goes«WE’RECLOSED!» in the most condescending degrading tone ever and rolls her eyes at us in front of all the other customers. OKAY motherfucker I heard you! Could of said«Hey I’m sorry we’re closed guys!» But from what I know bitch, you’re NOT closed. You’re closed in 10 minutes! I understand it’s annoying for last minute customers but damn lol I don’t even treat MY customers like that. Get that stick out of your ass Ugh y’all restaurant looked dirty anyways

Sigh, where do I start… first off, as my family and I sat in the restaurant it became painfully obvious that unless you are Vietnamese and/or a regular customer, you don’t matter. We saw several people come and go and receive quicker, better service. To start, the server only brought us one glass of water. We were a party of three. My husband asked for two more glasses(it took awhile, as the server came to our table quite infrequently), but there was a fly in his glass. He asked her for another one; she acted very annoyed with him and never brought another glass! He ended up just getting up for his own(they have the glasses and pitchers stacked next to a tap, convenient in this situation). Second, the food came out at weird times. We ordered two different rolls(mediocre at best) and two entrees(one noodle soup and one rice dish). The soup can out first, followed by the appetizers and finally the rice dish. Because I’m polite, I didn’t start eating my soup until my husband’s dish came out. Man, I waited awhile. Kind of weird since there was almost no one else in the restaurant. Lastly, the level of unprofessionalism was ridiculous. There were two female servers working, and they spent almost all of their time sitting around, eating and gossiping with someone I assume was a regular customer. Neither of them had any customer service skills, the younger woman was borderline rude. I will say that my soup was okay. With that said, it’s hard to overlook the rest of our experience. We will definitely not be returning.

This place is close to where I live and is great for when I’m really craving phở but don’t feel like going to a few other favorite places or have to think about finding parking. The broth is pretty good and the pricing is about right. It isn’t the best I’ve had but it works. The service could be better which is why I’m knocking down a star. They have a pretty good selection of food to other than different phở combinations. They also have bubble tea and froyo there too which is nice during the warmer months.

This place have horrible service. They won’t even serve you and will tell you to go order only even tho the sign said 9 pm closing. I was there at 824 pm the kitchen light was off and there’s 2 table still eating. The waitress told me that they are closing at 9 and will only taking order for carry out. This is not my first time I was turn away from this restaurant.

Completely agree with others that Customer service in this place doesn’t exist. You will be greeted here with unfriendly faces and the attitudes like you(as customers who bring them money) are very annoying and unwelcome. Given the scarcity of phở in Downtown Renton, I have to come here sometimes for a bowl of phở in raining days. But I swear, the moment there’s another Phở place opened up, with slightly better customer service, I’ll boycott this place ASAP !!

I tried this place for the 1st time yesterday afternoon, and it will also be my LAST time. Most places I have been to are usually pretty friendly and have basic manners. Not this one. Customer service does not exist here. The woman that took my order was completely RUDE. I came in to order to-go, and when I asked if she was ready to take my order, she seemed completely irritated. After I got my order and said«thank you,» she didn’t even care to acknowledge me. Whether she likes her job or not, that is not how you should treat a customer.

With the lack of choices in Vietnamese food in Renton, it’s nice having Phở 801 as a late night spot to get some hot soup coming into cold season. The phở is rather salty and perhaps a bit of MSG in there as well — consistent with their service and very fast with their food. It’s nice that you can get some FroYo as well and bubble tea. But my only real gripe there is it has a weird stench of wiped down tables and wet towels. Other than that — it’s not the best place ever but very convenient and it’s open late!

Its the closest phở place to me that I find decent! Besides parking is easy around the area! Pretty decent place for phở. They have varieties. I get the phở sometimes, I get vermicelli other times. However after a certain time, even tho they stay open a lil later, they stop serving everything but phở. So if you come late you are stuck with phở even if you didnt want it.

So went here for late dinner with family on a weekday. The place had several diners, but with so many seats, our group of 10 was able to be seated right away. With the low stars and negative reviews, I was nervous. Heheh my personal experience here wasnt too bad. The food here was pretty average in comparison to other phở places. I ordered a phở Ga(chicken). Serving sizes(for everything) is huge and my regular size bowl looked like it could be a Large anywhere else. But it came as it is typically prepared, and with thin strips of all white meat. One thing I would have liked better with the phở ga, was if they added some garlic garnish, like other places sometimes do. We also ordered an eggroll vermicelli bowl… I thought this was actually pretty good. Their tofu spring roll also was decent, but their peanut butter sauce was a bit runny and super mild in flavor. What could use improvement… We asked for an extra bowl for the little one, they gave us one that was super dirty… Everyone’s food came out(we all ordered phở) pretty quickly, except for mine so I waited a couple minutes. We asked for it again and i waited another several minutes before it was finally brought out to us. The tofu spring rolls also didn’t come out til later in the meal, which is funny because it’s an appetizer. But otherwise, an overall decent/average experience. The food was just like any other phở place. Parking is limited on the street, but we were able to find a spot close by.

Same phở as the previous«Phở Hoa». Nothing changed. Large portions and decent. Not the best place for phở. This place has so much potential. Great fast service as always. 1−25−15 Phở here is improving. I really enjoyed my phở tai tonight. Good beef flavor with tender slices of rare beef. Nice big portions. A small bowl is equivalent to a large at most places. 3 stars bumped up to 4! Just lovely.
