Had a weird switch at the last moment in a gift someone wanted for Christmas. I could have went online and did, but decided to save shipping and hit the home town crew. They had exactly what I wanted. BOOM. I need to see if they have any Commodore 64 stuff…

More variety on the gaming side than the toy side but the staff here are super awesome. A little of everything but not a whole lot of stock on most toylines. A few vintage pieces. This store is still fairly new so I’m sure they’ll eventually have a lot more variety-wise. If I were looking for used/vintage games, this would be my first stop. Lots of old cartridges that will bring you back to your childhood.

Drove here from 40 minutes away for my boyfriend’s birthday to get some games for our new Retron 5. Walk up to the store on 2:30pm on a Sunday and see it’s empty and closed even though the sign says it’s open. Called the number listed and it rang indefinitely. I’m afraid to ever come back here for fear of wasting my time again.

I came by due to a recommendation of a co-worker. He had mentioned that his buddy has a retro toy store and has some old-school Ninja Turtle toys. Of course, I had to pay them a visit. I went in the middle of summer and there was no AC at the time but they had the fans blowing. Don’t let that deter you as this is an awesome store with a varying collection of old school toys from action figures to comic books to video games to bobble heads. oh. and varying Star Wars Legos. They have it! I didn’t end up buying anything but really enjoyed looking around. I did spread the word though and will be back.

Bought a super nintendo here todat, the two men that were working are very friendly. Came home and played the super nintendo and love it. Brings back the 90s. Their games are priced well too.

Great place to visit. If you are ever looking for an older game they most likely will have it but if they don’t they will look for it. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

I found this place on Unilocal, and headed down to check it out. I took my four year old daughter with me, as she’s a great excuse to go look at toys. ;) For a downtown Renton store front this place is really great. We saw things from my childhood, that I hadn’t seen in a very long time. TONS of NES, N64 and a wide variety of older gaming systems. As for the toys; wow. They had some older Marvel Superhero toys. a few of the REALLY old Toy biz line, and the staff person knew what I was talking about, which is freakishly well informed. Picked up a new toy for the daughter, after taking a look at everything. She’s very pleased with her purchase, which makes me, as her parent, happy too. Thanks. I’m sure we’ll be back soon. By the way, you’ve made quite the impression on the comic store around the corner. They mentioned how great your selection is too.

Only been here a few times but with each visit I left with something super awesome. In my case, it was some vintage SNK comics. There’s definitely something special as soon as you walk into this store. You can feel the difference with Retro Game & Toy Exchange compared to other shops like it. Great knowledgeable staff, sweet prices and they may even hook you up with the occasional deal if it’s your lucky day. A welcome addition to the Renton business community. It’s about time someone opened up shop down in the Southend. 8-bit Arcade &RG&TE are worth your time. Great job guys!

Great retro game & toy store in the heart of downtown Renton! They’re selection of retro games and systems is quite broad. Of course they have a pretty large selection of the standard fare stuff like NES and SNES which line the back wall off the store, but they also a selection of obscure items like Atari Jaguar and NEC Turbografx 16. Great for anyone who’s trying to break into a new system library of games. The front counter showcase has choice titles for NES, SNES, N64, and more. I saw a boxed Demon’s Crest and a Jack Bros. for Virtual Boy last time I was in there. Stuff like that you never see. The showcase wraps around and on the other end were a big selection of rare PSOne and PS2 games. Looking for Rule of Rose or Valkyrie Profile? They might still have em. Lots of boxed systems, Sega Genesis, Game Cube, Saturn, Nintendo Powers, lotsa cool things to look at. The prices aren’t bad they’re what you’d expect, maybe a little lower than other places in the area. The common stuff is cheaper for sure, so if you need to bulk up that shelf candy you can do it in a hurry at this store. The toys are just as cool. G. I Joes, Star Wars, Legos, old train sets, Power Rangers, and a lot of the toys are still boxed up and in great shape. I was a big G.I. Joe kid and they have a ton of loose figures for really cheap! I would have bought em all if my wife wasn’t with me. The store is pretty big and wide open. It’s very clean and is in good shape. The only minor gripes I have with the place is it needs a little music or something. And it gets kinda warm, A/C or at least a fan would be nice. The employees are good dudes. They all live the hobbies so obviously they’re knowledgeable. If you’re in the area make sure you stop by!
