This place should lose the name of Shakeys! It is a disgrace to all the other ones!!! The staff was rude and was not helpful whatsoever. I went in with my family and we were told it would take an hour for the food to come out. We didn’t really understand why since the place was not busy at all but, against our better judgement we decided to stay. We were then informed they they were out of chicken and would only get a few pieces of what we ordered. The staff didn’t bother to apologize after taking forever to inform us. The tables were extremely dirty and their was food all over the floor. We informed the staff but they never bothered to come clean it. We finally decided to leave after waiting over an hour and a half.

I don’t ever give a 1 star unless my experience was an absolute disgrace, or there is a consistent pattern of negative experiences. Shakey’s continues to disappoint me yet we still subject ourselves to the letdown over and over because it is our local pizza parlor and I mean come on, it’s Shakey’s right? The problem is the service is terrible and the food takes way too long in every single case. For example last night I called an hour ahead to get takeout for my kid’s birthday party that started at 6. I called an hour ahead because i know the person will tell me the pizza will be ready in 20 minutes but it will really be an hour based on my experience. She said 30 minutes this time and I even asked her if she really thought it might be a little longer which was ok but she said, no way. It will be 30 minutes. I gave them 45 minutes, went up to pick up the pizza, wings, and jojos right before the party and sat there another 35 minutes waiting for the food and missed the first half hour of my kid’s party. Now if this was the first time this happened I wouldn’t bother Unilocaling about it. Unfortunately this happens every time I call in for takeout or even worse, when you are actually dining in for a kid birthday party or end of season soccer party you will likely sit there for well over an hour before any food hits the table. I’ve literally been in that situation dozens of times. I am not a fan of the pizza but my wife and kids like it so I won’t make any recommendations there. The wings are great as well as the Jojos. I just keep getting disappointed by the service.

We had the most amazing time here!!! We have a friend visiting and we went purely for nostalgia. Lori(sp) did NOT disappoint. We were greeted with a bar menu and Lori made us feel right at home. We didn’t know until later in the evening but she was the new owner as of 3 days prior! The food was amazing, and they even brought us a sample of an IPA beer. Customer service was AMAZING!!! The pinball machine was marked Out of Order but Lori let us try it anyway as my friend REALLY wanted to play pinball at Shakey’s… For old time sakes. We will be regulars for sure and wish Lori and her team the best of luck in this new chapter!

This place has terrible pizza. S. O got pizza here once and he described it as school kids in a home ec class. The pizza was glued to the box because of how much cheese was on it. It was inedible

Worst service ever if I could give a lower rating I would. Customer service was bad and good was half cooked garbage

This place was horribly out dated, and about three steps down from a Chuckie Cheese. Hell, this place was three steps down from Cici’s pizza. The wife and I had to wait 35 – 40 minutes for pizza, and we were inside the restaurant. The food was a bit foul, and the price was a but hefty. I think I would have been happier with a Digornos or Little Caesar’s.

Chicken is delicious. Pizza has a sweet sauce, meh. But, a nice crispy crust saves it. Salad bar is sad, brown edged greens. Pinball and Pac-Man for the kids, which is good because the service is super slow! Especially if you order a glass of wine.

We’ve been going to Shakeys for 45+ years and drive out of our way to go to the last(closest) store which is in Renton. The last couple of visits were not good(pizzas were cold and really greasy) but this last visit on Saturday evening — 12÷26÷15 was the worst. They were out of several sizes/types of crust. Out of a couple of types of beers(ok, it was the day after Christmas so maybe supplies were low). The girl taking the pizzas out of the oven was wiping her hands on her shirt while she cut them up and also while making new ones. There were numerous un-bussed tables while a couple of the employees played the video games and/or talked on their cell phones… and it didn’t appear that they were on breaks because they brought pizza’s to the few customers in the restaurant and then went back to their games. Both our pizza’s were cold, literally the cheese wasn’t melted and the Mojo’s(our favorite) were burnt. I can only assume that a manger wasn’t on duty since it was the day after Christmas but the employees on duty were too busy with other things to provide good(and expensive) food or a clean atmosphere. Really disappointing and we don’t plan on going back.

I’m not sure about the quote, but it’s something like«You can never go home». My fond memories of Shakey’s in the Puget Sound area as a boy and even trips to California in recent years turn out to be all I have left. I’ve known of this Shakey’s in Renton for a while, but haven’t made the trip until recently for a quick lunch. The location is convenient, right off the main drag, parking was easy to find, right in front. The restaurant itself seemed to be pretty well kept. There was a rather odd stand with a sign stating that the«back closes at 8pm». I’m sure there’s a reason for it, but it seemed unwelcoming as you walk in the door. Turns out, I’m not the only Shakeys fan, as it seems there were a lot of people(over 60) coming in to get some original thin crust. The pizza was okay. I order a Shakey’s special and was very suspicious of the, what I believe to be hamburger mixed in with the Italian sausage. Not just because of the weird dark color, but because of the off taste. I was unshaken, I simply scraped off the remaining pieces as I happily powered through my small personal pizza. The think crust was really very thin, in fact, more than I ever remember, kind of like eating off of a cookie. All went well, and I left. And, while I cannot directly link my upset stomach and other unmentionable symptoms to my visit, I would probably put a 99% likelihood on the fact that the pizza didn’t sit well with me in the next 12 hours. But, I lived, the pizza I kind of enjoyed, but I don’t see myself making it back anytime soon, if ever. Turns out that for my taste, Round Table comes close enough and the quality seems better.

Shakey’s what the heck happened to you?!! For context, I have been going to Shakey’s Pizza off and on since I was a kid in the 80’s. I grew up going to their East Hill location in Kent, and later ate at their Four Corners and Fairwood(Petrovitsky) location. I wanted my kids to experience the same Shakey’s Pizza experience that I had growing up, so I have been taking them to the Petrovitsky location now for the past couple of years. I am sad to say that the experience has steadily gone down hill, even over the past 2 years. I was looking forward to eating out and enjoying some pizza and mojo’s tonight, but was disappointed from the start. We usually call ahead and order our pizza on our way in so we don’t have to wait as long. When we called, we got put on «perma-hold» and were forgotten. Then, we called back and got hung-up on. So, we decided to just go with the flow and order when we got there. The line was relatively short(I was a little surprised they weren’t more busy, given the fact that they ignored out phone call attempts), so I was able to order within just a few minutes. A Shakey’s Special, thick crust, with a side of Mojos. Everything seemed to be going well at this point. Then, we looked for an empty table. There were a lot of unoccupied tables, but all of them hadn’t been bussed in who knows when — it seemed like the entire dining area was a mess. So, my wife took it upon herself to clear a table so we could sit. Then, after a reasonable about of time, our pizza arrived — it was not what we ordered. Close enough, so we decided just to go with it and eat it as we waited for our mojo’s, which would be out«very soon». 25 minutes later, after we had pretty much finished the pizza, there were still no mojos. I went up and asked for them, and they said they would be out shortly. Tick tock, tick tock…15 minutes later(all the while, our kids are whining about«when will the mojos be here?») they finally show up. Barely warm and soggy as hell. I asked the guy who brought them to us to just take them back and give us a refund and he said«it’s not me who you need to talk to». I left disappointed and sad about what they have become. I realize that it is impossible to live up to the experience that you had when you were young. But I would expect them to at least live up to the standards that we had a month ago when we were there last. In general, the quality has steadily declined every time we have gone there and I am not sure I am going to go back again. It wouldn’t be hard to turn things around — get people’s orders right, bus tables in a timely manner, and apologize and make it right when it takes too long to get the food out. That’s all I ask. Evidently, that is asking a lot of Shakey’s these days. The manager of the restaurant needs to be there to address these issues. I know you guys can straighten things out if you care to do so. I won’t be back again if this is what you have become. Sad.

Staff was friendly, but seemed very«absent-minded». Pizza took forever. It was good. The salad bar was good. The chicken was disgusting, super salty. The first Mo Jos we got were perhaps double fried or just plain burned. Then the guy arbitrarily comes out and gives us more Mo Jos. The bill was way too high for the food we got. I won’t be back. Not the same food I remember as a child.

The pizza here is really good, but, I also agree with one of the other reviews, this place has gone down hill so much. We were just there, the place was empty, only 4 other family’s there. Not exaggerating one bit, it took 45 min for us to get our order. Love the food here, never coming back though. Service is not good at all !!!

I love this pizza. It’s like family style from my childhood. Thin crust with bubbles from cooking in a very hot oven. Shakeys also has ‘Mojos’ which are delciious fried sliced potatoes. The restaurant has a Cyclone Pinball machine, Pac-Man, and several other stand alone quarter-fed games. And a mechanical pony for the kids to ride.

I don’t know why this place has so many low reviews? It’s not the fanciest but that’s what makes it fun. It reminds me of pizza places when I was a kid. We took the family there. We order the family combo I believe? It was great pizza. Chicken was yum and of course the jojos. I’m going to be going back more often.

If you’ve lived in Seattle your whole life and squeal with excitement while microwaving a mama Celeste’s frozen pizza that you just bought for a buck at Safeway, this is the place for you. Service is slow, cheese is cheap and the recipe had to be written by someone who grew up the absolute most furthest distance from Italy, Chicago and new york as you can possibly live. I was somewhat inebriated and it still tasted barely edible. Totino’s frozen pucks would taste better. And forget about reheating leftovers. Literally tastes like dog puke, same texture and all. Please oh please somebody from the east coast buy this place out and make decent pizza. Or else convert it to a sushi restaurant! And if you like this pizza, nothing personal, this is for your own good, firstly I’m very sorry for your taste buds and secondly, please try New York style pizza(see my other reviews) and then you will see the light, hallelujah!

I’ve been eating here for years, but I have to say the last couple of times have done it for me. Tonight I was told 20 minutes for my order. I arrived right at 20 minutes. There was 1 customer in the whole restaurant. My pizza came out of the oven right when I walked in. Unfortunately it took them another 25 minutes to get my chicken and Jo Jo’s done. Next time it will be Round Table for me.

Chicken and Mojos is where it’s at! Their pizza was okay, but I can’t get over the looooong wait. We were there for 2 ½ hours and majority of the time, we were just sitting there, waiting. And waited some more. It wasn’t even busy! Then a quarter of our pizza was kind of burnt. They were nice and asked to remake, but the thought of having to wake an extra hour or so, no thanks. Back to the chicken and mojos. Oh my. Their chicken was so moist and delicious. Definitely worth the wait. And those potatoes? It’s hard to explain. It’s the best potatoes I’ve ever had!
