Unilocal is now reporting this place as closed. RIP. Maybe it would have survived in a better location, their food was great.

I. Love. This. Place. My husband and I decided to go here after going to Lake Washington and seeing the reviews. Not disappointed! We were greeted when we walked in the door and everybody that worked there was well mannered and eager to put the customer first. That doesn’t happen a lot any more. The older gentleman(as people in previous reviews have called him) was amazing and hilarious. I ordered the Shwarma plate and my husband the wrap. Since I told him, I didn’t want a salad with it(not a veggie fan), when the food was served, he gave out some baba ganoush instead. I had never had it before, and it was brilliant. The food in general was extremely good! Customer service: Top notch. Loved everybody working. The older gentleman cracked me up. Food: Pretty darn good. Everything was flavorful, but not overpowering. The presentation on the plate was great too. Got the baklava to go and I recommend it! Atmosphere: It’s a smaller homey restaurant, but it is kept clean. My husband and I ate outside and were extremely surprised at how well the tables were kept. It’s very tidy and relaxed. All and all, it was a great experience, and since it’s near where we live, I foresee myself coming back here many times. I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

Overall really good authentic food. Service was great, it has that small family feel to it. Price was fair given the quality and quantity of good you get. I usually get a fully loaded Gyro and man is it fresh and delicious I’d highly recommend this place.

So this may be a small place but it has a pretty decent Falafel and chicken Shawarma sandwich. I have had both and thought both of them were very tasty. I like that they have a different flavor than many other chicken Shawarma’s I have had. I think this is due to the spices they use to flavor the meat. I generally don’t order French fries with my food but I like their fries so much I will order them again when I go back. For drinks they had San Pellegrino flavored seltzer waters from Italy. This is something I really like. I think the Aranciata(Orange) is the best! I wish they would have some hot tea available. I thought the Greek music playing added to the experience. It was very uplifting and happy! It is not the fanciest place but it is very clean! We consider this a fast food alternative because they get your food out so quickly here and it’s way better then any fast food place around. Give this place a try if you can. The older gentleman who rang usurp and etched us was very polite and friendly. Great service is always a good thing!

I’ve been here a few times and service as well as food are always on point! The owners are all really friendly and welcoming! I always get the chicken gyro, and each time it tastes great! Their combo comes with a fries and I usually like my fries with mayo. When I asked, they didn’t have any since most of their sauces are homemade. He instead asked me some questions and brought a different sauce for me to try! Was perfect! Definitely will keep coming back.

The older gentleman(possibly owner of the place) is a charming and hilarious guy. He jokingly messed around with our order to encourage us to order waffle fries(which we were glad we did!) The falafels were amazing — moist on the inside but still crispy. The chicken shawarma was smaller than expected but still flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend this place — a great stop along the freeway for any meal!

Nice spot. The location is on the side of a very busy road. There is plenty of parking. You can dine in or take out. The interior is clean and spacious with a lot of seating, nothing fancy. There are a few outdoor tables. You order at a counter and if dining in, somebody will bring you your food. The owner/person taking orders/server was very pleasant. I wanted the chicken schwarma, but they were sold out. So I ordered the kebabs instead, and he actually apologized that they took around twelve minutes to cook. I was offered water while I waited. There was a wait as it was lunch time, but I didn’t think it was out of sorts and wouldn’t have thought much of it, but the owner gave me two free baklava and an apology when he brought me my food. What great customer service! The kebab was good. The meat had good flavor and was juicy. I liked the pita they used. The hummus was excellent. The prices are great. I will definitely go back!

I was really wanting high rated gyros delivered. Unfortunately, they are no longer delivering. I still ordered but the main thing I wanted, koubbeh wasn’t going to be ready for a while. So, after waiting, my order was koubbeh, chicken shawarma and a side of hummus with pita. There was no meat in the koubbeh dish and the pita was also forgotten for it. The shawarma was tasty but nothing amazing. The hummus, was fantastic though. Three stars because this could have been a one off issue and I maaaaay try it again if there is a deal or something.

I don’t know what was better– the food or the service! I was greeted by two men with kind, smiling faces that made feel very welcome! :) They made jokes with each other while taking my order and obviously love what they do! I got the pita and hummus and the chicken gyro combo– both SOGOOD! It was ready very quickly and before I even ran out of pita, they offered me more to finish my hummus with. Everything was great, I’ll definitely be back! :)

The owner exuded warm Mediterranean hospitality as we wandered in, famished and hopeful. He was full of good cheer, suggestions, and even encouraged the cook to give my mom and stepdad a taste of the sauces. I love largish, genial cooks — they’re tasting their foods and going back for seconds, and maybe even thirds… All of the positive below is true. I need not say more, except… go… eat great food, and if you( Unilocaler) would like to deliver up to the Kirkland area, please message me. :-)

The food was delicious. The owner and cook are very friendly and willing to accommodate. You can tell there is a pride of ownership and care about the food. My wife and I stopped in after picking up the in-laws from the airport. They are usually very picky eaters, so I was a little shocked that they were so happy with their food selections. We tried the hummus, mjadara(not on the menu), shwarma, falafel and both the normal and chicken gyros. Everything was very tasty. Even the extra pita, as we went through a few baskets of it. 2 years in the Seattle area, and this place has made it to the top of my list for best falafel and general Mediterranean/Lebanese food!

Don’t judge a book by its cover, this restaurant fits perfectly with this line… I Drive by that restaurants everyday I was never attracted to it, from the outside it’s an ugly looking place next to a 7-Eleven. one day my son was craving for a Giro so I took him there, what can I say, the staff was really friendly the place was very clean, it was a Friday I’ve had the Special that they serve only on Fridays, it’s a leg of lamb probably one of the tastiest dish I’ve had in my life the meat was so tender and the sauce was amazing, my son had a Gyro combo with house fries, waffle type a fries, topped with Feta cheese, Tzasiki sauce was just amazing. definitely exceeded my expectations…

I love me some gyros. This place is fairly new and in a really odd location. I was hesitant, Not gonna lie. I am glad that I got over it and stopped in. I had just lamb gyro with feta and then frys. I am not used to a greek place having waffle frys but I am totally in to it. They were awesome. The gyro had a good amount of meat on it and the pita bread was really soft and tasty. Service was great. This place is spotless and is no frills. I like that you can see the kitchen and how clean it is too.

You never expect this place to be here once you stop by you will not regret it. I tried both the chicken and lamb gyro and omg so delicious. It tastes all so fresh and the waffle fries are to die for. You can tell they cook the food with care and if you want you can watch them cook it all. Also they deliver but call and make sure first. Overall awesome gyro place especially in renton area. So delicious. Edit. So they have went down in taste quality and sometimes they are closed randomly so if you catch them on their good days you will have a tasty experience.

Renton’s New Gyro Hero I passed by this place the other day and made a mental note to try it out. Since we didn’t feel like cooking dinner, tonight was the night to give this place a shot. We got there at 8:15 when the owner was starting to close up, but he warmly and graciously encouraged us to come in anyways and order whatever we wanted. We tried a number of menu items, but the falafel and baba ganoush were by far the best. The owner’s customer service was really outstanding. He forgot to bring us one of the items we ordered, but apologized profusely then gave us a free dessert. With service like that, I predict good things for this establishment. You can never have too many good Mediterranean places nearby, and I’m glad this one opened up in Renton.

The gyro was delicious, it had hummus on it which I have never seen before on a gyro, but was delicious. The waffle fries were really good as well. The meat was tender, wish there was more of it on the gyro, but you can pay for extra meat if you choose. The staff was super friendly and service was really fast. I like that you can see the kitchen. The inside was very clean as well. We will definitely be back.

I was initially skeptical, due to the location of Sunset Gyro(it’s in kind of an awkward section of Sunset, next to a 7 – 11) but I love good Mediterranean food, and the previous reviews of this very new restaurant are all glowing. Well, I officially join the ranks of fans of Sunset Gyro, and here is why: The place is spotlessly clean. This includes the kitchen, which is open and to the left as you walk in, and you can see right in. It is family-run, and they made me feel like a part of the family just by patronizing their establishment. The owner came out from the kitchen to talk to me about what I felt like eating that night. I placed a take-out order for two people, and he discussed with me how it would be packaged up, to make sure I was okay with that. He was welcoming, light-hearted and kind. The falafel is some of the best I have ever had, anywhere. It was crispy on the outside, and just the right texture on the inside, not too heavy, not too light. My spouse prefers a heavier, more highly-seasoned falafel, though she felt this one was pretty good. But to me, this falafel rocked! The 4 small ball/patties were deceptively filling. The tzatziki was delicious, as was the small portion of hummus which accompanied the meal. The one thing I will say is that some of the food did not transport well. The salad that accompanied the dinner was soggy by the time I got home. Note to self: Ask for dressing on the side next time! Also, the waffle fries(which were delicious nonetheless, and such a nice change from regular French fries) were on the soggy side by the time I got home. I think that if I were going to order the dinner plate to go again, I would choose the other starch option of rice, over the French fries. All the entrees are offered as either a sandwich, or as a dinner plate with salad and rice or waffle fries. The prices are VERY reasonable for what you get. They also have a great selection of dips and sides, as well as homemade lentil soup. I would love to come back here with friends and try a bunch of things, because it all looks so good! But I will definitely return for the falafel!

Thank god this place opened, I’ve been looking for a local Mediterranean place for a while, and this place is really good! I had the gyro and the waffle fries and both where very tasty. The fries are a large order so you can easily split them. The guys working there are super nice, and offered to remake my fries since they came out crispy. However, I really liked them so it was all good. The gentleman who took my order even opened the door for me when I left with my takeout order. The interior was super clean, and they’ve put up a tv and a mural so it’s cute. They also do delivery on orders over 20 $ which seems handy. I’m going to go back and try the lentil soup and the desserts!
