I like this location alot. The food is good, the staff is nice and it’s right on the beach. Never had a bad experience.

Came here on a Saturday night after finding this place on Unilocal.Parking was a pain as it was street parking and only on the side furthest away from the beach. Read the parking signs carefully, we saw at least 10 cars get towed in a half hour(on the side closest to the beach)! Also, we missed the part where this was just window service and not an actual restaurant(which was fine for that day as the weather was good, but no restrooms)! Foodwise, it was pretty good. We got the lobster roll, side salad and clam chowder. Salad was a decent size, pretty standard toppings. Clam chowder was pretty dissapointing. It was a lot of potatoes and clams, yes, but the broth was like cream. Actually more like 2% milk, at best. Very liquidy and not like what we thought a chowder was going to be! The lobster roll, however, was delicious! Even though the roll was a bit on the pricey end(roughly $ 19), it was worth it considering there was 2 lbs of lobster meat in there! Also, my favorite part was the bread: it was crunchy outside yet soft inside and reminded me a little of Texas toast! Wish they had fried clams in a smaller amount. The smallest size was about $ 25… would have been nice to try them. Overall, food is good and the people working there were nice, too!

High priced crappy food franchise. I paid 34 $ for a small order of nasty fried clams an a roast beef sandwich on a burger bun. The roast beef sandwich was messy and hard not tender like roast beef should served on a stale grilled bun. The fried clams tasted like the store bought clams you get at any fake fish shack! They did have great tarter sauce tho but still the food isn’t as great as I heard it was. Also if they have a Kelley’s roast beef in a Jordan’s furniture I can’t really see it being a great place. I will not be back to this Kelley’s or any other Kelley’s roast beef establishments.

Been going here forever. Awesome location, amazing fried seafood and a staple restaurant on Revere beach. A wonderful place to visit and you can eat on the stone wall overlooking the ocean. Yum, yum and YUM. Also have a location in Natick.

I only come here if everything around is closed! I’ve been living in Revere for a while. Kellys is a walking distance from place, still never preferred to eat there. its just crappy tasteless food.

Maybe it’s because I’m from Chicago, but the beef in Boston is nothing like the Italian beef in Chicago. Good little seaside joint with what seemed like a little bit high prices for a dive joint, but maybe that’s cuz they are a staple. Don’t know :).

When I lived full time in the Boston area in the late 90’s/early 2000’s, Kelly’s in Revere was a regular stop for me. I fell in love with the roast beef, and crave it every time I come back. The last time I visited, I went to the Kelly’s in Saugus and was disappointed for the first time in my life by a Kelly’s. I was hoping that the Revere location hadn’t slipped as well. Judging by my visit here in September, I’m relieved to say that this place is almost as good as I remember it. I think Kelly’s has lost a little bit compared to then, but it’s still wonderful to me. And the fact that I got to take my two year old son here for the first time to take pictures with him was special. Most importantly, the roast beef here was still excellent. The chicken fingers were also extremely tasty. My wife agreed that the Revere location was much better than Saugus. And my son devoured his burger, but wouldn’t try the roast beef. Maybe next time. They’ll never be the best value for your money. You have to be willing to spend a little bit to eat here. But I’m happy to know that this location still has their mojo.

I was here years and years ago. I remembered how good the food looked and tasted. Sadly, I was very underwhelmed with this experience. Even during the lunch time window the bun for the roast beef was hard, the scallops were lukewarm(at best) and for the price the portions were really a let down. Sadly I suggest you look elsewhere for better quality food.

As far as I’m concerned there is only one Kelly’s and it’s at Revere beach. Immediately after landing at Logan I headed to Revere and Kelly’s for fried clams, with the bellies of course. No bellies equals clam strips, no thanks. Yea they are pricey but, in my opinion, there is nothing better than eating fried clams on the beach wall. If I was really hungry I would have gone for one their Combo plates.

Kelly’s on Revere beach makes a great greasy summertime dinner stop. Nothing here is healthy or upscale, and the entrees could be more reasonably priced(you can easily drop $ 40+ on 2 people), but it’s definitely a guilty pleasure. The shrimp plate was so good. I was expecting little battered popcorn shrimp, but instead I got 5 or 6 panko breaded jumbo shrimp. I’d never before bitten into a shrimp and thought, «wow, that was a juicy shrimp!», but all that changed when I tried the perfectly cooked shrimp here. I’m not normally a fan of tartar sauce, but Kelly’s tartar sauce is a different thing entirely; instead of the watery, insipid afterthought you usually get with your seafood, it’s super thick with huge chunks of tangy pickles. Yum! The lobster roll is classic: perfectly toasted bun, plenty of big chunks of lobster(without any sissy lettuce), and not too much mayo. The surf and turf meal, though a little bit outrageous in its size, is a good way to try both the lobster roll and the roast beef. The clam roll is similarly great; it’s a good thing it comes with a fork since the roll is piled with way more clams than you can possible eat as a sandwich! The onion rings are awesome(hand battered, flaky, and salty), but the fries are not good(thick and grainy with that«off» potato flavor and not enough salt). Unless you’re committed to meeting a certain daily potato intake, I would recommend asking for all rings instead of ½ and ½. Also, I’m totally being picky here, but I wish they had those dip and squeeze ketchup packets instead of the foil ones; since almost everything here is fried it would be useful. The guy at the counter was super friendly and didn’t seem be annoyed by the crowds. It’s always nice when the person taking your order repeats everything to make sure it’s correct! I appreciated that since it’s easy for a roadside place like this to ignore the service aspect. Overall, I’d say Kelly’s is worth the trip to Revere. Go before it’s too cold to stroll along the beach!

After a bit of delayed travel, Kelly’s was one of the few places not too far off the highway that was open around midnight, so we trekked out to the beach(which I’m sure looks gorgeous during the day but was quite foggy this Friday night) and walked up to Kelly’s, which really does have a casual, beach-y, and somewhat touristy feel to it. The guys at the front of the register were nice enough in taking our order quickly, and we didn’t have to wait more than a few minutes before our food was ready to go. There are some tables you can sit at outside, but again — cool, misty weather at midnight — made us head back to the car and chow down before hitting the road. The food itself was okay. I went with the BBQ pulled beef, which in many respects reminded me of how pulled pork is prepared — shredded and doused with BBQ sauce(in this case, a bit overly marinated). For $ 8, it definitely will fill you up, and the flavors are pretty solid. My wife went with the lobster roll, which, while pleasantly-sized and very sumptuous, did not have the same kind of freshness that I would experience later in Portland. It was also a bit too doused in mayo for my liking. The side of onion rings were a waste of money, IMO — very chewy and not crisp at all… they’d clearly been sitting around for a while. While it certainly did the trick in satiating our appetite late at night, it’s probably a place I’d come back to after exploring other options. It’s a bit pricey and definitely feels like it’s priced for tourists taking in the surrounding beach area.

I have been a regular of «Kelly’s on the Wall» since I was a kid, and I never get tired of their seafood selections, and OMG, their tartar sauce is the stuff of legends. Now, while I still love going there, I am not able to do so as much as I would love to because the prices are just too high for me. I mean, c’mon, $ 21.00 for a friend clam plate was a bit steep last year… but now it has gone up another $ 5 this year, and that is just wrong! to spend $ 60+ for two people to snack on the beach with the seagulls bothering you [Be warned: Those seagulls have become a lot more aggressive in the last few years as well] is a bit steep when I can go to most fancier restaurants and eat a meal with sides and an appetizer for about the same price. On a side note, they really skimp on the onion rings, which was also one of my mainstays, and I am not a fan of the styrofoam containers as I used to love the plates covered in foil. Please bring these two back?!!

So… after seeing Kelly’s on a few«Best Of» lobster roll lists, I made the schlep over on the Blue Line subway from Downtown Boston(take it all the way out to Wonderland and then it’s about another 15 minute walk.) It’s a beautiful Sunday afternoon in August. I must say… even from the city it was worth the trip. I ordered the lobster roll combo with a drink… it came out to $ 25. A little pricey but not atypical. They have some outdoor seating but the place was pretty crowded and most of the tables were taken. There is additional seating across the street by the beach which I actually preferred. A nice lobster roll… a lovely breeze from the ocean… it’s a perfect New England kind of afternoon if you ask me. It might be a tourist trap but so what?!

The seafood is really good, but common guys 21 $ for the knee of soup and 6 or 7 shrimps? Are you serious?

My sister decided to come here because we did not want to go into the center of the city for a lobster roll. This place is like a Burger King for roast beef and seafood, so do not be expecting anything too classy. Also the cashiers are picky. Both cashiers that my sister and I went to said they do not like seafood and are picky so they had no insight of what to get. I got the shrimp platter and it came with french fries and onion rings which was a nice touch but they only give you only 6 butterflied fried shrimp. The onion rings needed salt so bad which is crazy that a fast food type of establishment would need more salt? The real reason we came here though is for a out of the city/cheaper lobster roll. My sister got the onion rings and lobster roll($ 20 but there was a up charge for all onion rings). The lobster roll was pretty good! It was a lighter mayo base and they packed the lobster. She got her roll toasted which always makes a better lobster roll in my option. So if you want a quick $ 18 dollar lobster roll out of Boston this place is a opinion.

My girlfriend lives on Revere Beach(in a condo across the street)(not literally on the beach) so we grab take-out from Kelly’s all the time. In other news, I’m fat. I’ve been coming to Kelly’s for years, either this location, Saugus, or Natick. They are all fairly consistent, but there is a certain sense of nostalgia eating at the original. My all-time favorite meal is the Surf & Turf. If you want to sound like a regular, just ask for the Surf. It is a Small Roast Beef Sandwich served with a Small Lobster Roll, and your choice of fries, rings, or both. At $ 15, it’s a better deal than getting the Large Lobster Roll. I order my Roast Beef«3-way» which makes me giggle every time I say it. This means American Cheese, Mayonnaise, and BBQ sauce(just say sauce). If you order around lunch time, it tastes fresh. I’ve gone later at night and it’s definitely tasted like it was sitting out all day. The lobster rolls here are delicious, although I won’t give them the crown of best lobster roll in the North Shore — that goes to Belle Isle in Winthrop. Onion rings are hand battered and incredibly addictive. The fries are great as well. The«side» is plenty for 1 person and the«small» is for 2. The medium gives me nightmares. Chicken Fingers come in 1 size and it’s definitely enough for 2 people. Don’t forget the honey mustard. The Fish Plate is an unsung hero here. You get 2 massive pieces of lightly-battered fried pollock on a bed of fries. It’s also only $ 12 which makes it a steal. The container has to weigh a few pounds. Other notable menu items are the Double Cheeseburger and the Reuben(with Russian Dressing on the side). Unfortunately, I’ve not tried any of the breakfast offerings yet. Always order a side of pickle spears to go with your sandwiches. Save some room for soft serve at Kell’s Kreme. There are picnic tables across the street in the covered pavilion. Don’t feed the seagulls.

Ordered the Reuben with chips and a kids mac and cheese with fries. First. Fountain pop machine from the FUTURE! Prepared to be amazed by a crazy selection of thirst quenching deliciousness. Can’t even tell you how many choices you have because it was a touch screen. whatttt!?! I know, amaze. Second. That sandwich was on point. Quality ingredients make a quality sammich! Three. Least impressed with the kids mac and cheese. Seriously just blue box that you pay $ 5 for. Not that my child really cares but it was not worth the money. Fourth. Go now!
