Worst experience -!!! Sucked!!!-. Came here to eat with my family, and started to eat a chocolate dessert.!/ When I tasted it, it had some weird flavor to it, it tasted like. Nail polish remover in there. Disgusting I ran to the restroom to throw up, least thing the manager can do at 12:35 p. m today – . Was come out and apologize but no he or she didn’t even.- WILLNEVERBEBACK!!!

I’m not a big eater but my husband is and he really gets his money worth! The food is good and their staff keep on top of everything. I especially like the roast turkey and wonder why turkey gravy isn’t served with it. The brown gravy doesn’t do the turkey justice.

I’m not a buffet expert, but I do know the good from the bad. This HomeTown is just plain good. You’ve probably been to one at least once, right? You know the routine, all-you-can-stuff, I mean eat. We’ve been to this Rialto HT a few times, I’ve always been satisfied with the quality of their food and the friendly hard working staff. My wife enjoys all the options for creating your own salad as well as the pre-made ones. Soups are also good. The food stations have American, Asian, Italian and Mexican cuisine. The Asian food station had orange chicken and fried rice. The Mexican station had cheese enchiladas, nachos and make-your-own tacos. I usually have the American and Italian stuff like the BBQ and fried chicken, meat loaf, baked fish and spaghetti. The instant-type mashed potatoes are not to bad, just okay. Ahh dessert time, I had a slice of lemon pie and a chocolate pudding parfait, both were good and flavorful. My wife had the peach cobbler that’s baked in a small individual bowl, it was still warm too! Unlimited beverages included soda, 2% milk, chocolate milk, iced tea, lemonade and Icees. The atmosphere is casual and very family friendly. Don’t go expecting gourmet fare. After all, it is an all-you-can-eat buffet for a fair price.

We get there at 8:15pm not knowing they close at 8:30pm and they didn’t tell us. The food was just OK a lot of sides dishes and no main dishes(meat wise). The desert bar was just left over desert n they said that’s all they had left. If that was the case we should of paid half price if they werent going to have there full menu after 8pm. We paid $ 12 a adult plus for our kids we should of just went to Applebees. Hometown was a waste of money. We only went because our girls wanted to eat there and we haven’t been in so long. But never again.

I was not happy with any of the food choices. Nor the seating. All of the booths and tables were pretty much free. I can see why or should I say smell. I could smell urine under every booth my family and I tried to sit in. So we decided on a table instead. The food simply lacked any excitement or originality. It was boring. Some of the food was just lacking any real pizzazz. I’ve never wanted to leave a buffet so fast like I did here.

My family and I went last night and were disappointed with the customer service. The cashier was more concerned about clocking out to go home than answering our questions. Although the food was good they need to train their employees on staying professional in front of the customer, a few extra minutes on the clock isn’t going to kill you.

Came in at 6pm and desert and food bars were all empty. People waiting for food. Went and asked for my money back. Manager was very nice and apologized. Should of gone to McDonald’s!

The food was as any other buffet, I would have been OK with that. But this place is filthy… The restrooms were not maintained regularly, the ice cream machine was disgusting and even the clean plates and utensils — not so clean. Never again! !!

I hate this particular hometown… although the manager is professional… staff is rude. Food is okay… for the most part staff needs more training otherwise would be a great place.

I just hate any home town buffet. Overpriced Cafeteria food that has no flavor. Enough said.

The food selection and quality was not impressive for what they charge for dinner. Ok for lunch!

Wasn’t impressed with the food, it was ok. Lacked excitement, I felt like there was nothing interesting going on in there selection. Maybe there not going for an exciting approach but maybe a «reminds you of home» feel? I can get mac ‘n cheese and French fries any day of the week. Good price.

Very friendly staff and good food selection. The place is clean overall, the parking lot is good and the ambience is just what it should be.

Keep in mind I got here at 8:30PM and food was probably out for a long time. I still stuffed myself on the good fried chicken, popcorn shrimp, tiny orange chicken, mac n’ cheese, and taco bar. Some things weren’t that great. Taco bar had tortillas that weren’t fresh enough and slightly stale taco shells. BBQ brisket was dry and white rice was bleh. Darn raspberry iced tea was spitting out water only. I mean, this is what I expect from a Hometown buffet so I can’t be too disappointed.

I have to disagree… everyone in Bloomington knows this is the finest place to eat in town. I think the other review is unfair… its a buffet, so with that in mind you have to know what time to go to get the freshest food… I have an office in the area, and have had one there for the past 15 years… in that time… Ive seen a few hopeful places pop up… still mourning the loss of the Terriyake steak sandwich place on Cedar that was ran by Koreans and super delicious but made me fat… but pretty much everything else in town in fast food or taco stands… neither I am a fan of… So lets talk about Hometown Buffet… again over 10 years of eating at this place has taught me a few things… go at the right time and on the right day… so after 3 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and the weekends… theres usually a line but it moves quick… The clam chowder on Fridays is just about the best Ive ever had and that come from a seafood loving World traveler… I have no idea why but the stuff is just so rich and creamy… almost too rich as I usually feel sick like Im going to explode after… the corn bread is great… the baked ham is always moist and delicious… the Turkey(wednesdays) is fantastic… and I still have no idea how they make such a great tasting steak that tastes like its fresh off the BBQ… sometimes you have to wait for the fresh stuff to come out… but as I said being an experienced Home Town Buffeter that I am… I know!!! Now lets talk about the desserts… because I could just about have sex with the hot fudge cake… its that good… and once again the ice cream is rich and creamy and the perfect topping for the cake… I love this place… maybe if there were more choices around I wouldn’t be such an expert but theres not so I am… I give Home Town Buffet 5 stars, because its cheap, tasty, fast, great service, and has plenty of parking… and its the only decent thing to eat in Bloomington!
