After a lunch and a couple of drinks. And the server was ready to go home. Cut our table off and the one behind us. So just want to say thanks to Alfredo

My husband and I LOVE Mi Cocina. Last night we went to the Campbell location with our 15 month old daughter and were so pleased to see so many other families and small children there. It made for a fun environment and atmosphere which was a pleasant surprise! A couple of notes for parents. The guac though very enjoyable for us was a little too flavorful for our young daughter who loves avocado on its own. Also, the ground beef in the classic tacos is VERY salty. I’m sorry MiCo but it was pretty intense. The flavor was great but the salt was over the top. I won’t order it again for my daughter. We look forward to visiting this location again with our daughter.

I’m a Mi Cocina fan, but today was disappointing. Poor service and gross queso that doesn’t look or taste like cheese.

Amazing food, good service and a popular choice for many under the Bush Tollway. Food there has always been delicious and they will give you plenty of freedom in customizing your order. Everything came out as it was supposed to and the server kept my fast draining water glass topped off nicely. Need a dinner date before a movie or a nice place to hit after a show? Check this one out sometime.

I love this place. Consistently great food with great service. I had an issue once that was addressed immediately and promptly resolved. Very professional demeanor with food that will keep you coming back.

My husband loves Mi Cocina, mostly just for the Rico Salad. Personally, I love the brisket tacos which ordered GF comes with a different variation of the rice and corn tortillas. Since moving to Richardson, I’ve noticed this location isn’t particularly busy or overly packed like the location in Watters Creek we used to frequent, which I like. If you want a great drink the mambo taxi comes highly recommended, the mojitos are also very good and mixed fresh.

I’m afraid twice is enough for La Cocina even though the food is pretty good, especially the rice(always important at Mexican restaurants). The beef fajitas were good, the enchiladas were ok, but the portions both times were so small I almost started laughing when the server put the plate down in front of me, and it’s not cheap. Can you send back too-small portions? It’s awkward. I didn’t know what to say — Take this plate back to the kitchen and put more food on it? The service was good and the restaurant itself is very nice, but I’m not going back. The prices are too high for entrees so small they belong on a kids menu.

We went on a weekday. Normally the service is great and the food is good. This time the service was okay and the food was lukewarm, which made me sick the next day.

I love this place! I always order chicken fajitas and their Mambo Taxi(margarita) is greatness! I always hear Gloria’s is overall a better place, but I disagree! I’m going to remain loyal to Mi Cocina! I don’t know if I went on a bad day, but that day the restaurant was soooo humid! I couldn’t enjoy my meal.

Just moved over to this area from Plano. What a noticeable difference in lack of service & the food is slightly different in taste & quality from other locations. Went a week ago & ordered the fajita nachos. The order took forever & they came out cold & meat was dry. I figured I’d give it another chance last night and once again, terrible service. Once seated, it took 5 minutes for someone to take our drink order, then 10 minutes for the drinks to get there. We were ready to order, he set the drinks down & didn’t return for almost 15 minutes. I had to ask another waiter to get him so we could place our order. None of the staff is rude per say, but not friendly either. Just doing a job is the feel you get here.(Both times) I have been a regular at Micocina Plano/Legacy for years & very disappointed in the service & food at this location. I won’t be returning here.

I typically avoid national chain restaurants like the plague, as too often the food quality is poor and the employees are disgruntled. I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience at Mi Cocina though! I had the cheese enchiladas with spinach, and subbed the sides of rice and beans for grilled vegetables. Outstanding! The flavors were perfect and I got a lot for the money. The hostesses and wait staff were friendly and accomodating. A job well done. Glad I passed through town that day.

We have been coming here every year as an anniversary tradition for 8 years now. Wish we had picked a different restaurant. The food is alright. The service is alright. None of the staff is particularly friendly. The female manager on our last visit didn’t even smile back when I smiled at her, and although she was standing right there, didn’t bother to grab the door as she saw me struggling to open it while juggling my baby. Of course once I opened it she took the opportunity to barge past me to go back inside. I left super disappointed and we will just have to start going somewhere else for our anniversary as this place is crap.

Always good food and good service here. It’s a Dallas staple. Nothing beats a mambo taxi with some Tex Mex. Glad to have it in the neighborhood!!!

Whatever you do, try the chicken tortilla soup! For years I’ve searched for one as delicious as Mi Cocina and have neve been able to. I LOVE this place and typically judge Mexican restaurants really harshly. Yum!

I’ve been here about 8 – 10 times in the past year. I always have great service with quality food. I’ve never had to wait to be seated, my server has always been prompt. The fajitas are my favorite as well as the enchiladas. During my last visit I met with a client who forgot to bring a document to our dinner-meeting. We asked if the restaurant was able to print the document for us and the manager agreed; she was friendly and nice to help us in this way. I’m sure I’ll be back.

I always enjoy coming here because I know I’ll get a good, solid product. Their margaritas are outstanding and dessert is excellent. Occasionally the M restaurants are panned because they aren’t as good as what you’d get where I’m from in South Texas or very specific Mexican places in DFW, but that’s not what this is. It’s right on the money if you want Mexican, need somewhere nearby, need the kids to like it, and want to know what to expect. I held out on another star because I think it is slightly overpriced, but not badly so.

Lunch menu not very appetizing, at least not the enchiladas. Yawn, boring. At least we had the margaritas to feel better about choosing this specific mi cocina. Sad, the one in ft worth and the one off the dnt were good. Get your game up day shift.

What happened to waiters welcoming you into the restaurant? Rude wait staff and bland food. Way over priced for what you get.

Good vegetarian tamales. Nachos are wonderful but I’m nacho friend! Lemonade and Arnold Palmers with shiny silver balls. Yum. Good friendly, high IQ service technicians. No crap on the floors and the staff is much better than it used to be. Give it another try.
