I actually really liked this hole-in-a-wall pizza place, unfortunately I think it has finally closed as they have not answered their phone in weeks. It started out as a fairly nice Mr. Gatti’s pizza buffet, then I think the family that ran it lost their franchising rights and things went downhill from there. First, the logo came down and they tried to paint a new horrible one over it. Then the exterior of the restaurant started to decay and the inside deteriorated with dirty carpet, ripped seats and a huge menu that was completely wrong. And to top it off, they didn’t even know the name of their own restaurant. I was told it was named Mr. G’s but on my bill it said Mr. P’s. They should have just called it Mr. T’s with the slogan«I Pizza the Fool!» The only reason I really liked this place is that the pizza reminded me of the kind I used to get as a kid at Crystal’s Pizza in Irving, so it brought back some fond memories of how much I loved that pizza. The salad buffet at Mr. G’s was decent but I could get my healthy fix of salad and vegetables for really cheap.

My visit was fine just that all the pizza that was out must have been sitting there for over 1 hour. It was cold and the dough was gooey. And we payed $ 22 for something that I could have went to Cicis and ate the same food for $ 18. I’m just disappointed

What a disappointing experience. I dont rememeber swatting flies at any other restaurant. But, I did at this one, several times. There were more flies than spices. Where is the taste? The tea was thick and slightly bitter. The macaroni and cheese was very good. However, the pizza was bland, light on toppings, and did not appear to be topped with fresh ingredients. and the crust? Dry, coarse, tasteless. What a disappointment. The employees seemed as bored as I was, constantly moving pizza slices from one pan to another on the buffet until each pan had slices from several different varieties. The temperature of the pizza was questionable. Just above room temperature and I wondered how long it had been on the line and how many flies had enjoyed it. I will not go back if you had not yet guessed.
