Nice people, great stuffings, stupid loud music, cardboard flour tortillas, good salsas – open only three months. I wish them well as they seem to have great potential. They need to go to Oak Cliff to El Si Hay on Davis street. They might learn what it takes to make really great Mexican street tacos. Will certainly go back again as we live rather close by. They also have great elotes. Would be nice if they added chorizo.

The tacos were good and reasonably priced for street tacos and if I lived down the street, I might come back if I were craving a street taco. That being said, I definitely prefer other places in Dallas for better tasting street tacos.

I am a taco fanatic so when I heard about a new taco place opening, I had to check it out! I had the beef & pork tacos — both were super good and had the authentic street taco taste you’d get from those sketch taco joints. The price is a little expensive for street tacos(especially in comparison to the $ 1 tacos you can get in garland or Harry Hines) but the convenient location and their later hours definitely makes up for it.

I heard about the new taco place in town so I had to check out the place. I definitely love how it’s in the area. It’s convenient because I don’t have to drive far if I have cravings on a late night when I’m in town for school. Place is simple. Picnic tables to sit at. Old school cool trashcans, but you have to touch the lid to open/close it. I’m slightly a germaphobe so that’s my own problem. I absolutely love the elotes. I wish there were more types of spices. The elotes here is definitely better than the taco place by the South Side Ballroom. The tacos were a little dry the first time I tried it, but I gave it a second chance. Times after were definitely better. OMG taco is like bo luc lac(a Vietnamese dish of meat). Has a sweet taste to it. It’s good, definitely a must try. The OMG taco is what makes this location unique from other taco places. I also love the pastor as well(pork), my favorite. As far as prices, cheaper than Velvet Tacos and Torchy’s Tacos, but more expensive than Friendly’s Grocery tacos. I could be wrong so don’t quote me on that for Friendly’s. I do know that the OMG taco was $ 1.99, everything else was cheaper. Velvet Taco and Torchy’s is definitely more on the expensive side. Oh and the mangonada drink was amazing! I’d say it’s the best one I’ve had. Service is friendly! You can call in and place your order if it’s close to closing. I called into ask if they still had elotes. They went ahead put in my order before I got there.

Let me start by stating that this Taco Restaurant has great tasting Tacos. Wow, I was taken by surprise by the quality, and flavors of their Tacos. I only have one issue with this place… but, I hope that in time they will think of adding them to the Menu. But, this restaurant doesn’t have any type of Vegetarian Tacos. I was sadden to the point of almost leaving… but, one of the guys on the grill told me that he would prepare the OMG Tacos without any meats and add avocados instead. Let me tell you, that there is customer service!!! Any restaurant that can adjust their menu for any Vegetarian to fulfill their needs wins my loyalty. Note: If you’re a Vegetarian like me… you don’t have many options but you can get them to do an OMG Taco without the meat. They will substitute the meat with avocado. Note: My buddies raved of the Tacos Al Pastor… a must try!!! Note: And my favorite drinks were the Frozen Horchata, and the Mangonada. Very good!!! :)

The chicken tacos were tasty… the sauce was on fire!!! Like for real hot stuff! if you like it spicy get any and or all of the sauces. I don’t prefer to sweat when I eat, personally. Bonus: they deliver!

I was overall satisfied with my meal here. I’m not picky with tacos but the only thing worth coming here again for is the OMG taco. The OMG Taco is definitely different from the other street tacos you’d get at other gas stations or markets. However I didn’t care much for the other tacos, and I did get one of each. The elotes are great and I love that there are several sauces/salsa to choose from! However, I’ve gotten the same quality elote cup from other places for much cheaper. The regular size cup at omg was more like a mini sized cup IMO. Get the mangonada. It’s DELICIOUS. The frozen horchata’s ice was too chunky.

Love the vibe at this place. Very simple and clean– reminds me a lot of the San Diego vibe. I always get the OMG taco. The elotes are pretty legit. I have had both the mangonada and the frozen horchata and I think the mangonada is the best! Right now they do BYOB which is pretty cool and they stay opened till 3 a. m! Of course the location is a little weird if you’re not from Richardson, but it is perfect for me because I live right down the street!

I was staying at the Hyatt Place/Park Central and these guys were a life saver. Price: +Great: I’m a fan. Their street tacos are at street prices($ 1.49−1.99 each). From what I could tell, they do not sacrifice quality for these prices. More on that later. Food: +Good: I liked the steak and OMG/special steak tacos on flour tortillas. A must get is the elotes(street corn!). It is warm, buttery, and topped with parmesan cheese. +OK: I thought the corn tortillas were just OK. The chicken was nothing special either, if anything, a bit dry. Delivery: +Pro: They deliver! +Small Con: Unfortunately, since the Hyatt Place/Park Central is just outside of the 5 mile radius(5.6 miles to be exact), I needed to spend $ 20 plus to get it delivered. In this case, their low low prices were a negative(never thought I’d say those words). On the bright side, that means I got to try a lot of food!

I was reluctant to try this place out. The location is weird for being open till 3 in the morning(and thats everyday!) The surrounding restaurants in this area are crap(just being honest here.) And the name itself is unappealing(reminds me too much of overpriced, trendy bullshit establishments). On a lazy Sunday afternoon, the idea of street tacos sounded good after getting out of the gym. I had nothing to eat at home, and figured I would finally try this place. I really didnt dig too deep into the reviews(which I normally do), but I felt like I was in a trance. I walked in and notice the lack of atmosphere. The spartan design comes off more of a phone reseller than a restaurant. Their menu actually had a few options, but not much. I ended up ordering one pork, one lengua, one barbacoa, and one OMG taco. I even ordered elote, which I normally have bad experiences at places. I wasnt necessarily excited about the price, but its not that much different from other places. The order seemed to take a long time, especially since it was slow. I flipped through the Dallas Observer while waiting, drooling over pictures of delicious looking meals. Finally my tacos are ready, and I fill up on all of their condiments(expect for the rojo sauce). Up till now, i have had nothing postitive to say about this place, but damn were those tacos good. They dont have the greasy passion of flavor like the Taqueria Paisano, but everything about it was executed well. The flour tortillas were soft and moist, the meat was juicy and had a nice flavor. The pork was surprisingly sweet(reminded me of sweet and sour pork) but it was actually a welcomed sensation. The lengue was cooked just right and had just the right amount of fat to had that greasy flavor. The barbacoa tasted more like pulled pork steamed with a dash of sugar, but I enjoyed it. The OMG taco was probably my least favorite, but its still good(if you dont mind that it taste like Chicken Teriyaki). The sauces definitely stand out to me. The chipoltle sauce was creamy but bold with chipolte seasoning. The salsa verde had a surpirsing kick that delighted but didnt frighten my stomach. The guacamole sauce was also had a spicy kick, but much creamier in texture. The elote was surpisingly not overwhelming in butter, mayo, or sour cream. My only real complaint has to be the lack of passion in the elote. The corn is not roasted and the overall composition felt as if a machine made it(its hard to thorughly articualte what I mean, but it doesnt feel like it was made with love?) I enjoyed my tacos. Probably more than I thought. I enjoyed them so much that I almost got up and ordered more. Im glad I didnt, because the food coma kicked in 10 minutes later. By no means are these authentic street tacos. But I dont feel thats a negative here. I do wish there was some sign that gave the hint that it was more of a fusion place, but the owners already won my money and stomache. Unless this place royally screws up when its busy, I would eat here again. Im especially curios to bring certain friends of mine who love tacos. Either way, I think youll have a good meal.

For a place started up by college students — it’s alright. I had 2 barbacoa tacos. Priced at around $ 1.60 for one seems a bit high. The meat was not real barbacoa, it was dry and flavorless. There were plenty of sauces on the side to add flavor though The atmosphere is alright. The décor was simple and plain. The only flaw was the trashcan. It’s not pleasant to have to lift a lid of an aluminum trash can at a restaurant — gross.

OMGTACOS offers great street style tacos. Not over priced and every item is fairly priced. You guys definitely earn yourself a returning customer! Highly recommend trying either the steak and of course their signature Vietnamese-inspired OMG tacos. While you’re at it grab yourself a pineapple Jarrito or mangonada. Parking lot is very spacious and service is friendly. Highly recommended!

Good, fast-casual taco joint that is mostly traditional in its offering except for its namesake, the one Asian-influenced OMG taco. I ordered two OMG tacos and one al pastor. And while I did enjoy eating the OMG taco, I thought it was a little on the sweet side, and would have been better off just ordering one of it and two of the al pastor. The al pastor was juicy and flavorful(but I see that some other reviews are making it sound like it’s a hit or a miss). The OMG taco reminds me of Vietnamese shaking beef(bo lu lac), which would make sense considering that the area has a large Vietnamese population. Literally everything else in the menu, though, is completely Mexican. The elote, barbacoa, lengua, and al pastor. It would be nice if they could also add the tripas, haha. Because it is fast-casual, affordable, and good, I can see myself coming back every once in a while. Meaning, I’m a fan.

Very solid taco joint and pretty close to being a 5 star establishment. It goes without saying that I was very excited when I heard that there was a hot and new taco joint that just down the street from where I work. Most people don’t like Tuesdays, but that’s because they see it as the day after Monday. Pro tip: make Tuesday a «Taco Tuesday», and you will see it in a much better light. First thing I noticed when I walked in was the menu. This isn’t Torchy’s, Fuzzy’s, or Velvet Taco where the tacos are $ 4 a pop. Here, they are $ 1.49 and go up to $ 1.99… my kinda place. Per my usual order at taco joints, I ordered one chicken, one Al Pastor, and one beef(in this case, OMG). To my disappointment, they were out of the Al Pastor, so I just double downed on the chicken. The tacos themselves were all very delicious. The tortillas have just enough crunch and the salsas are all well made. When I bit into the OMG, I knew an Asian fusion was at play. I asked one of the owners, and he told me it was a Vietnamese recipe for the marinade. Almost bulgogi like, but not as sweet. It was definitely my favorite of the bunch. My only criticism of the place, and it’s a small one, is the knife work. The tomatoes on the OMG were strips instead of cubes, so it made it a little bit difficult to eat, but overall, I was very happy with my meal. Next time, I hope to try the Al Pastor and some of those elotes!

The location of this place is amazing ! Next time people want to come to this area for phở or if I have to visit my dentist, most definitely I will stop by and eat here because it is so convenient. As far as quality, I didn’t think these street tacos were that good. Pastor was my favorite, but lengua and Barbacoa were very lacking in the flavor department. The meats were kind of dry. I was drowning my tacos in the salsas and guac and such and was hoping it could save the tacos. Not really, the salsa wasn’t all that either. The green salsa, which usually is my favorite everywhere, didn’t really have a taste or a spice kick to me so I had to add a lot of the red hot sauce which gave the taco too much of a sour taste. I’ll still definitely come back and try their OMG taco and elote though!

These tacos were pretty great, they are made to order so you get them fresh and piping hot. My husband and I ordered the steak street tacos and some elote. The steak was cooked really well and tasted great. The elote was missing the spice but luckily they had it there to add to your taste. We ate dinner for about $ 15 which is pretty good. We spoke with the owner and he informed us it’s byob and that they are open until 3am. So I’m stoked because we finally have a place to go for late night munchies. We got the mangonade slush on the way out and my husband really likes it, and next time we will try the horchata slush. They weren’t busy so we had no wait time which was great, and the place is really clean and comfortable.

Came back to get some tacos to go. This time the place was half full compared to last time. It’s probably because it was dinner time while last time was lunch time. But beside that, I noticed a few changes from my first visit. I only ordered two tacos, the OMG and barbacoa. My friend and I noticed that the barbacoa was completely different from the first visit. It was more shredded and spiced. Completely different. My friend and I agreed that the first taco was better. So I don’t know what happened there. Did they give us the wrong meat last time or something? If so, I would like to know which taco it was. Next is the OMG taco. It was nice. Same as last time. except that this time it had tomato slices… how come they didn’t included the slices on my first visit? Did they forget or something? :/

The tacos were mediocre at best. Dry, hard, overcooked, bland, and flavorless are a couple adjectives I’d use to describe the tacos. This place proves that you can’t always trust Unilocal with all its glowing 5-star reviews. I would still rather make the drive to the sketchy area of Dallas and get legit street tacos from those 24⁄7 gas stations. Even if I came on an «off» day — consistency is key. My sister and friend from Houston(who is a street taco aficionado, mind you) both came here on different days and they both were unimpressed as well. The only reason why this place isn’t a 1-star for me is because the elotes are actually decent but it’s pretty hard to screw that up, right? And the prices here are reasonable. The hours are great — open until 3am? Tacos ARE the perfect drunk food. Except I would probably only eat here if I was completely trashed and didn’t know what was good food from bad food. Overall, I like the concept — saving us from the 30 minute drive to Harry Hines for street tacos(El Tacaso is the BEST). Unfortunately the execution is not done properly.

I was surprised by some of the negative reviews here I had a great experience. I walked in just after 11 and ordered 3 steak orders to go. If you don’t like onions make sure to ask without. I was in and out under 5 minutes. Great service and everyone was very friendly. My order was under $ 6 including a drink. Great value. In general I enjoy a simple traditional taco. I don’t get the need to put everything and anything into a taco. I live in Dallas and have a local taco place in my neck of the woods, but I also teach at Richland and had been looking for something near there. Especially since I got pregnant and I am usually starving after class. These tacos were exactly what I like in a simple street taco, great corn tortillas heated and with some grease, flavorful, tender and lean meat. There weren’t big pieces of fat that I sometimes seem to get with tacos like this and a good amount of cilantro. Plus their hot sauce has good flavor and a little bit of kick. With 3 tacos and a soda I was stuffed and satisfied. I will definitely be back.

Maybe I’m more of a Torchy’s Taco person, however, I had decided to give this place a try since I heard it was new in the area. I ordered a Pastor, Steak, and the OMG taco alongside a Mangonada. I understand the establishment is still new, so I did not mind the little while wait. I was presented with the Mangonada first, and it tasted like what I expected: mangos. However, the taste of the stinginess in the other elements of the mangonada threw me off a little bit. Maybe it’s a Mexican delicacy, but, it was pretty good regardless. I took my first bite of the tacos: just alright in my opinion. The meat was cooked very nicely, tenderly, and moist. Maybe I’m a sauce type of guy, wanting to have sauce already on my taco when I receive, but that is what it lacked. It definitely didn’t help that I didn’t see the guacamole sauce until I was walking out the door after my meal. All in all, very good attempt! Improve your process, and I’m sure you guys will be better on your way with how the restaurant is ran!
