Food is ok .If the order was correct it would possibly be good. you have a problem if you can’t get fried rice correct. I’m not happy with a container of steamed rice when I paid for fried rice. If it wasn’t so far I’d go back and complain. Guess I need to go get something to eat with steamed rice. What a waste of my time.

This place used to taste good. I guess the new cooks don’t know how to cook Chinese. I ordered mongolian beef and my daughter had sesame chicken. The Mongolian beef was really greasy and the sesame chicken was cloyingly sweet. Kind of wasted my 17 bucks. I won’t be coming back.

Vegetable fried rice is my go to at places like Oriental Express. Seems rather authentic and super tasty. Only downside is the certain non proportionate vegetables. For example there are tons of onions, so if you ditch the onions it is missing a lot. However if you leave them, it is overwhelming. Screw onions! Ayy lmao.

Hole in the wall Chinese joint tucked away in a shopping plaza. The food is great and reasonably priced. Servers are friendly and food comes out fast. Sweet and sour chicken and beef and broccoli are go to items on the menu. Been going there for several years and enjoy it. Nothing fancy, but you can get your fix for«fast Chinese»

Has been around a while. Their spicy fried chicken here is my favorite(basically general tso’s chicken). Large portions also.

Been coming here for almost 20 years. As a kid me and my mom and sister would meet my dad on his lunch break there. I moved to SC for 7 years and every visit back to Texas I make sure to stop by for dinner. Of course now that I live here I make it all the way over from time to time. Their sweet n sour chicken is hands down the best I’ve had anywhere. The chicken is actually cooked in the sour rather than served next to it. It’s amazing and I’ll never order another item. Loved it as a kid and love it as an adult!

IF U THINKTHISPLACEISGOOD? LISTENUP! I WENTINTODAYFOR A SNAKOFEGGROLLSRGT? Then i noticed that the kitchen was FILTHY! AND the mexican worker was washing raw chicken with NOGLOVES! I called him(the owner out on it) and he said«no we have gloves, no use»!! I said ~ «u realize its a health violation» … He says’Inspector says its ok NOT to use gloves” WTF??? BTW ~ the egg rolls made my hands stink like fish~ and they were obviously frozen with no other vegs but a little cabbage and greasy! I SUREHOPETHISHELPS

The«five stars» is for their stringbean pork/chicken. I have not even moved on to any other menu items because I love this dish so much. My coworkers tipped me off to this place a few months ago, and it’s become an almost weekly lunchtime favorite. If the rest of their food is as delicious as the stringbean dish then this will be the start of a beautiful food romance.

Some of the best Chinese food I’ve had. Fresh and hot and consistent every time. Been going for years and have not had a single bad experience. Great prices too.

Oriental express never disappoints! Coming from the west coast back to Dallas I’m pretty jaded when it comes to family Asian cuisine. However the food is always great here and the portions are more than plenty for family style that won’t break your bank. I really appreciate places like this that stick true their recipes and great customer service! You should miss out on this place! Also dining in is a great experience too! This place has been apart of my life for a long time and always creates a great memory!

I been trying to find a good Chinese spot in the area… Nothing like NY but this place is really good and is one of the best Chinese places that are truly legit. Price is reasonable good service I recommend it

Got Beef and broccoli and it was great, my husband got the orange chicken with he had never tried before and he liked it, which is saying a lot since hes not really a chicken fan. Nephew got the sweet and sour chicken which he loved. Large portions, had to take home doggie bags. Wish they have delivery would get this place more often. Defiantly a place to go when we are in the area.

I’ve been eating at Oriental Express for over 15 years. They have without exception the BEST Hot & Sour Soup in the Dallas Metroplex, and its under $ 4.00 for a large bowl. This soup is made fresh to order, with Shrimp, pork, tofu, the works. You can see the entire kitchen and watch how they save money by cutting their own meats, chicken, and vegetables instead of buying more expense prepared items. Other noteworthy entrees are Shrimp in Lobster sauce(ask for it spicy!), Asparagus Beef, the lo meins, heck the entire menu is great. The won ton soup has won tons they stuff on site, they make their own egg rolls. For the money, this is the best value for Americanized Chinese food. You can easily change the standard offering to something you like better, for example I get the #9(Shrimp in Lobster sauce) without the bell peppers and with fresh Asparagus added and spicy. You can choose between fried and steamed rice, or pay a bit more to get brown rice. Not fancy, but great portions for the money and freshly cooked. I love this place!

My lunch is from 3 – 4 and this is very close to my office. I walk in, order and have my meal cooked for me in less than 5 minutes! Prices are fair and the food is good. Is it gourmet or high end? No, but it is much better than having someone dish out food from warming pan(das). Want a quick hot meal at a fair price. This is your place.

I would never have stopped in if a friend hadn’t taken me there based on tucked away in a strip mall. Walk up — order your food — when it is ready they call your number. Wonderful Chinese food — you get more than enough to eat for $ 6 — a great value. The green beans were fantastic — I like an hour away but if in the area definitely will stop in again.

This place is definitely one of my go-to places for lunch. It is very reasonable and quick. I love the chicken and asparagus! Don’t be surprised when the fried rice(that comes with the dish) does not resemble the traditional fried rice but it is very tasty. The lunch specials come with the main dish, fried rice, egg roll, and a fried wonton. For what you pay, it is a great deal. You can order steamed brown rice for an additional $ 0.50. I have never been there for dinner so I cannot attest to the prices but I’m sure the food/quality is the same as lunch. Go and enjoy this great little Chinese Food treasure.

How have I not reviewed this place yet?! My boyfriend and I go here frequently for take-out. We find it humorous that the window says«typical Chinese food.» The quality of the food is great and its a heck of a deal. We’ve tried several things on the menu, and we are never disappointed with the exception that sometimes it could be a bit spicier when«spicy» is indicated. Other than that, absolutely no complaints. Always hot, always fresh, and always super tasty. We drive from downtown Dallas just to grab a bite!

Me: I’ve been coming here for 20 years… Waiter: But sir, we’ve only been open for 10. Ok, seriously, I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. This is good Chinese food fast. Is it 100% authentic? Maybe not, but the food is consistent and very good. You can see the cooks spewing flames on the woks in the back and cutting all the meat/veggies by hand. It is family owned(I’ve seen their children grow before my eyes) and they are very nice people. If you dine in, the meal comes with soup, eggroll, fried wonton, rice(fried or steamed), and your entrée. Very large portions, take-out excludes the soup. They have a decent selection of entrees but I always have Mongolian beef, Hunan Chicken and Shrimp, or Chicken with Asparagus. I haven’t been here for lunch since 1999 when I interned down the street, but it was jam packed. 7-Eleven is next door so you can buy some Pepto for all the food just you ate…
