Support this place! It’s awesome, and it’s in Richardson, TX! It sort of reminds me of what Brooklyn Jazz used to be, but with tons more space to vibe to the band or dance. I haven’t tried much on the menu yet, but the spinach dip was tasty! Friday nights get packed pretty quick with people ready to unwind for the weekend, but Saturday and Sundays rock too! The only reason I give Sasha’s 4 stars is the seating arrangement. Not enough round tables for small groups. Parking is ample. Enjoy!

I experienced one of my worst nightmares at this bar… SEVERAL charges to my credit card that didn’t belong to me. The ‘You Call It’ happy hour is a scam because ‘You’ is actually the ‘owner’ and the explanation given was depending on the crowd(or lack thereof) she may or may not offer happy hour. UNACCEPTABLE.

Now let me say, when I went it was a night when it was raining very hard. So, on a Sunday evening there were only two groups of people there. My group was there to see a particular singer, but otherwise not that many people there. The food is not good at all. They are trying to do Cajun style, but I never seen Cajun/Creole style food cooked this way. I go smothered chicken with cabbage and peas and rice. I thought all the sides would be all mixed together, instead they gave me an unseasonably cabbage wedge. The wedge was hard to cut, not tender at all. I have heard that the owner used to own Brooklyn’s jazz club and well, that is out of business. Just saying!

The music was great! The oxtails not so much! The red beans were not done and the oxtails were tough. I would likely order something else the next visit. The food was rather expensive for the quality. Thinking about trying out the Sunday brunch as my next venture here.

Visited the place on a Sunday as I am a follower of Mahogany and the band. Place has good potential with Button’s closing. The menu sounded nice but the prices were higher than expected and may be 10 to 20 percent higher than market. Could be due to the rent in the area. For me, it seem like it’s also in the middle of an identity problem. It feels like a night club with a weird want to be a fine dining spot. Overall, I think it deserves another shot and I look forward to going back.
