Always the friendly neighborhood bar and friendly wait staff. Great drink specials and food.

It’s a smokers bar. If you can’t handle that don’t bother. It’s a little bit cheers close to home. Colorful regulars and great waitstaff. Highly recommend.

I love this little spot, they have a cool little patio in the back and it’s a smoking bar. The service is always great friendly staff and they have awesome cheese sticks! They have live music certain days during the week, pool tables and foosball.

Best karaōke bar I’ve been to. Some serious talent! I was super impressed. You can tell some of the singers have definitely practiced or are just hidden natural talents. Drinks were fairly cheap. I can’t comment on the food. Smokers — chain smoke your ass off inside DJ was awesome, upbeat and followed rotation accordingly aka letting everyone get a turn and not picking favorites. Friday night was busy and service from bartenders and cocktail was pretty spotty. Pool tables and seperate room for non karaōke patrons

Went on Tuesday; Chef Special Steak was Gooood! They served with sautéed mushrooms, so good. Got a pint of Shiner Bock even better… Mmmmm Good

Tavern on Main Street is a great bar for hanging out and having a cigar. Some nights there is live music. The bartenders are always friendly and quick to serve. A local crowd makes for a comfortable and laid back atmosphere. If you’re going to eat, their homemade Bleu cheese is amazing!

This place is smoke filled and crusty. The bartender was very nice, but the beer selection is lacking. Beyond the fact that you need to wash your hair as soon as you leave, they do have games if that’s your thing. Pool, foosball, Dirty Harry pinball, basketball, and a pretty good jukebox. Country is played, and the crowd is mostly over 50. Good was actually good. We had the appetizer sampler. Fried mushroom are the best part. Overall not bad, but not exciting.

I’m always on the search for a good BLT and this one made me happy! The fries were awesome. love the seasoning. Flavorful without being overpowering and they were perfectly cooked. Others have commented on how nice Michelle is… she’s so down to earth! I even had a great conversation with Bull, who brought my dinner out. Totally comfortable place to hang out!

Great place to hang out — laid back, warm crowd and awesome bartenders! Good place to become a regular since most of the crowd are regular. Will be going back there soon :)

Richardson’s version of Cheers. If you were raised here, you are more often than not going to run into someone you know here. Awesome service, friendly staff, lots of different rooms to choose from for whatever mood you’re in.

This is our second visit. Thursday night is crowded. We didn’t drink tonight, just had dinner. I had a appetizer. The steak finger basket. This was a complete meal. The food was delicious, came out hot. The fries were like fries are suppose to be. Crispy n hot. The gravy for the steak fingers was tasty. The service was good, the prices is very affordable. A third vist will happen

So for the food and service, this place gets five stars. I’m afraid I have to knock a start off for the smoking. I didn’t even know anyone was still doing that besides Addison. I get that it’s a tavern, but there’s food and people are eating. Breathing in cigarette smoke while eating is just plain nasty. In all fairness, they warn you of this ahead of time with a sign on the door from the second you enter. We were grabbing a bite on our way to an appointment, though, so we just dealt with it. But it would deter me from coming back. Which is a shame because DAMN. You do NOT expect the food to be as impressive as it is! I mean – bar food, whatever, right? Hot damn if that wasn’t the best burger I’ve had in quite a while! Our bartender/waitress was very attentive, friendly and chatty – in a good way – and I’m mad at myself for forgetting her name. She was very personable and helpful, and was clearly a big fan of the food, with good recommendations. Maybe it’s the low expectations talking but that was a seriously good burger. Hubby had the hot dog(bacon wrapped with sauerkraut), which he enjoyed but didn’t seem to be especially blown away by(he’s a tough sell, though). We were told the reuben is a die-hard favorite and the ribeye steak is also a force to be reckoned with. Pretty ample parking in back and I would love to re-visit this dive for the staff and food, but like I said, the smoking is a huge turn-off. We were fairly lucky only to have one nearby smoker, but we went on a Monday evening, and judging from the other reviews, the smoke is usually on the heavy side. :(

Came in here to kill time before a wedding. I love how this bar has a neighborhood vibe to it: lots of regulars, the bartender is really friendly, and the ambience feels like the place has been well-used. I ordered their cheese sticks with my beer(s), which were made with a captain crunch coating. A little weird, but really tasty too(and free with my check-in)!

After driving past this quaint bar in old downtown Richardson 100’s of times in my life, I finally went the other night to check out their weekly blues jam. What a shame that a great place like this is utterly ruined for me by the thick layer of smoke that hangs within it. They have great food, and attentive service. A nice little stage for bands. And smoke. Lots of it. I don’t fault them… they make it clear who they’re serving, and it’s not the likes of me. «This is a smoking establishment» appears prominently on the front door, and also on the bathroom doors(as if you wouldn’t know by then). Smokers are spaced throughout the bar and restaurant area. Even one of the bartenders was smoking, as well as the bass player on stage. It was everywhere, and there was no escape. My clothes reeked of smoke, afterwards. Unlikely I’ll be back, and definitely not at a peak time.

If you like places like cosmos, Lakewood landing, the grapevine this is the place for you. Old dark bar but surprisingly decent décor. It’s lunch and everyone’s doing shots.

A membership only restaurant? Ooo la la. Swanky Town, population us. Turns out the Tavern requires a membership based on its location. I am not sure what exactly that means since the location looked nothing out of the ordinary to me. Who knew we trampled upon such an exclusive area? We were just two corporate jetsetters looking for a quick bite to eat and a TV to watch the Blackhawks/Kings game. We approached the door which noted the bar was a «smoking establishment». Not ideal, y’know, since we aren’t smokers. Well, I guess I am lying. I enjoy a good cigar every so often… maybe one a week, that’s it, I swear. Ok, sometimes two, but only when I am locked up in my apartment studying my life away. But it is always super weird going somewhere where people smoke. I didn’t know it was still the cool thing to do. We were hungry, though. And we had been traveling all day. We decided it was worth it to just stay and hope for proper ventilation. Truth be told, we didn’t really smell too bad in the end. The waitress/bartender was super friendly and handled a full bar and our table quickly and easily. The menu is not healthy in the least bit so we both went with the most healthy of options, grilled chicken sandwiches. We un-healthified ourselves by getting fries on the side and by getting chips and queso as an appetizer. Note to y’all: free appetizer with Unilocal check-in. I ordered a side salad for some VEGGIEPOWER but it never came out with the meal. Speaking of, the meal came out quickly, and was literally a massive amount of food for two people. The queso was solid, especially since, based on the establishment, we did not really have high expectations, and the rest of the food was surprisingly good. Turns out this place gets pretty hoppin’ almost every night of the week, whether it’s for karaōke or some other event, and it is probably an honor for us to be members. Oh, and in case you are wondering, you don’t get membership IDs here. You do, however, get a membership number. But it’s on a receipt, so make sure you take a snap of it before you sign it away. We made it out under $ 30 for two people, minus the Febreze we had to buy at a local Walgreens shortly after. Just kidding. We didn’t buy any Febreze cause it is not under 3oz. Travelers. It’s a solid stop if you can handle the air pollution.
