This is my favorite spot for lunch! Nothing better than a $ 10BBQ lunch special with all you can eat sides. It’s simple, fast and easy. Great for groups. You sit and serve yourself. Once you get to the place you do the line, you choose from any of the following: ribs, brisket, chicken, ham, sausage, or pulled pork. And then you slide down the side bar where you can get Mac and cheese, potato salad, beans, corn, green beans, and more! Oh and the bread! Sooooo good. They do rounds and bring you freshly baked bread to the table. I have never had a complaint about this place. Their BBQ lunch special is perfect!

Two stars because it is really ordinary cafeteria style BBQ. If I made this stuff at home, I would not be thinking, «I need open a restaurant.» I would be thinking, «I need to keep working on my recipes.» Bread made fresh on premise is a highlight. Service is friendly and the place is pretty clean. Sides were as you’d expect, just OK. BBQ ribs and brisket had a nice texture but lacked zing. Sauce choices were limited. So, OK for lunch since it’s quick but not a place I’d otherwise recommend.

Spring Creek Barbeque has one of DFW’s best BBQ. Every Sunday night, my family and I always arrive to this chain, which has a sweet and smoky aroma that surrounds you the minute you walk through the doors. Their ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, succulent, and, if you request it, are slathered in this deliciously tangy and smoky barbecue sauce that becomes addictive. The brisket is fabulous and practically melts in your mouth, leaving you yearning for more. Another great feature about this place is the unlimited sides, which include baked beans, green beans, macaroni and cheese, corn on the cob, coleslaw, potato salad, and more. If you’ve never had Texas barbecue before, this would be one of the places I highly recommend!

This was ok BBQ. Definitely had a cool BBQ environment. Everything is served buffet style with you being able to dish up your own sides. The meat I had(ribs and brisket) had a decent smoke to it and the sauce was pretty good. The sides were also pretty good. Additionally I had a piece of the chocolate pie which was good. The sweet tea that is available was very good. All in all a decent meal. Meat was good, sides were pretty decent. Not my favorite BBQ but a pretty decent meal.

Disappointed that you all offer a coupon that goes through Dec 24, coupon can’t be used until 5 pm. We get off work, get there at 5 only to find out that you all closed at 5 that day. Why have a coupon for that day that can’t be used?

It has been five years since coming here due to moving out of state and boy nothing has changed. The food is great as always. My family and I all got the rib and sausage combo with sides and we just loved it. The ribs were tender and the sausage was great. The mustard potato salad was delicious. Hope it will not be another five years before I come back.

The last time I went here was not the same as before. I did come here on a Sunday night and it was overall… ok. I usually get the sausage and brisket combo and that did not fail to impress. The flavoring seemed a little different, almost a little too dry(but it could of been the slice I was given). The experience that day did not satisfy my craving for the once good bbq that I enjoyed. The bread that the servers passed around were not that great either. The outside was burnt and the inside was almost hollow. It was like a marshmallow made of dough. The first round of rolls that came around was cold and not as «fresh» as they pronounced it to be, and the second round, the rolls were way oversized and didn’t taste like it used to. Maybe they were rushed? Did not have a good experience here this time, but I hope next time Spring Creek will get this figured out.

Best BBQ I’ve tasted and reasonably priced. Tons of sides to choose from, great staff as well. We moved to Colorado and still miss it.

This is hands down the best BBQ in DFW. Even though it’s technically a chain, don’t let the fact fool you. It’s simply the best. I’m definitely embarrassed to admit this, but it’s the only food I ever crave whenever I get back to Dallas. I really love getting their chicken. It’s so tenser and moist and goes perfectly with the BBQ sauce. Highly recommend this choice. I didn’t realize this before, but each plate comes with unlimited vegetables, so help yourself. I really love their macaroni and cheese as well as their baked beans. Definitely the two things I always go grab extra of whenever I’m in. Also, one of my favorite parts of coming here is that they always circulate a bunch of fresh hot rolls. There’s always a server who pulls them straight from the oven and runs around bringing them out. Don’t forget to save room for one(or two or three!) of these amazing rolls.

This is the second time that I’ve been to this place. I really like the ribs here. The meat comes off the bone and melts in your mouth. But, it does depend if you get a good rack of rib because my boyfriend didn’t get a good one today so it wasn’t as tender and melts in his mouth. I didn’t like their brisket. I felt like it was too dry. I would stick to the ribs. There are unlimited sides(they are pretty good as well) and drinks. The slice of pie is not included! Some of us gotten slices of pie without reloading that they were charged with it until later on. Overall it’s a good place to go for bbq. Great service and fresh bread! You also get to take it to go if you can’t finish everything.

Probably a bad idea to write this review while I’m hungry but here goes. So Spring Creek Barbecue is pretty delicious meat with decent sides. Their brisket, ribs, and sausage bring a pack of flavor and really satisfy the carnivore in you. That being said, their sides are nothing special, so don’t expect anything special. Oh my goodness their rolls. They probably taste better than they should because they give them to you fresh out of the oven. A server will regularly come around with a bread basket and you can keep getting them as long as you can eat them. The atmosphere is what you would expect, very southern style with the wood tables and paper towel roll in the middle. Of course they play country music as well. Honestly country is not my jam but no hate; everyone has different tastes. Overall decent barbecue for the price.

I haven’t reviewed this place? Shocking for me because I’ve been here a thousand times for the last couple of years. What brought me here was the BOGO deal I got inside the Valupak. Ever since then I come here with the same coupon and order the same thing. «The corporate» or something similar but it’s beef brisket and sausage. They give you a lot of meat and it comes with 2 sides but the sides are unlimited. I like eating my BBQ with some onions and their oh so good bread. Hot fresh bread is served throughout your meal and the bread is phenomenal. I was told that a lady comes every morning and prepares everything. Whatever the case the bread is fantastic and goes really well with the meal. This location to me is by far the best because the service and food is better than the rest. In the past the BBQ plate was around $ 10 but now it’s around $ 12. The parking here kinda sucks because it’s a small lot but there is parking next to the restaurant. Spring Creek isn’t the best BBQ around town but it is the best you can get in Richardson.

Took the family here on Tuesday night and the line was long however we waited. The ribs were the best bar b q ribs we have had any where in a very long time. The meat was tender, moist and had a great bar b q flavor. The lines moved too slowly and the reason was two small kids that the mother kept asking them what they wanted, all of which which they rejected. Once they got through we got to the veggies. The corn on the cob was fresh and was excellent as was the fresh coleslaw. The baked beans were great as was the potato salad. This by far is the best meal we have eating at Spring Creek. No more than sat down at our table when the hostess with the freshly baked rolls showed up at the table. The rolls are outstanding. Spring Creek — -you have won me back. Thanks

Came with three people and got in before the line build up. My friend had two BOGO coupons, so four rounds of ribs! Woo~ and the people behind us also had ribs.(the employee was having a fun time). I didn’t like most of the side dishes, so I only got corn. In fact, I kinda stacked my corns, so instead of getting one corn like a regular person, I got 4 corn on a cobs. We sat down at a booth and began eating. There’s a few things that I like here. Food: First, the ribs are delicious. I am a rib person. The bbq sauce took it up a notch, so thumbs up. There’s also that fun game of when your friend points out something while you’re chewing on a rib, your head turns with the rib still in your mouth. Or or making eye contact with a complete stranger(in my case, I had one with a cute guy) Second, the rolls are served fresh out of the oven. The person will make her rounds, asking if you want some. Don’t hesitate to ask for more. They’re so good. Make a sandwich with the the rib meat. The corn, well, it’s just corn. It wasn’t special, but I needed my veggie dish. Service: The people were nice. There wasn’t any frown faces, most of them greeted us with a smile. Will I come back? Definity. I am craving for Spring Creek bbq right now.

OK here it goes, I have been eating here since 1980. The service is good. The bbq is just ok. They now ask if you want marble brisket, lean or mix. Yeah for them. The sides haven’t changed since 1980. Guess the I am spoiled. When you gave had snows, franklins, lamberts, mueller, Spring creek is not in the same league But if that’s all your choice is then go for it

Went here last Wednesday(630pm) with out of town family who wanted some Ribs. Waited in line over 20 minutes only to find out they sold out of ribs for the day ;-( Asked if they could put a sign up because we wouldn’t have to waited so long if we knew and we were told that it was against corporate policy to alert customers when they dont have meat to serve! So we got other meat instead. The turkey is dry and the ham is just odd. Someone should actually taste the sides before putting them out too. the mac and cheese was awful. Go to Dickies and see how its made please. Guess we were just overall disappointed because we all wanted Ribs… The dining room is also uncomfortably bright! They have giant Wheel chandeliers with 15 bright as the sun bulbs on each one. I have no idea why they have it so bright, I guess whoever came up with the bright light design has never been there at night.

If Gluttony had a home, it would be Spring Creek BBQ. In fact, he probably lives upstairs. And at Spring Creek BBQ, no one is judging! I looove ribs, and rarely order them, so I splurged and was not disappointed. At first I thought the guy serving them didn’t give me enough(because I’m a thin girl?) but at the end of the meal, it was the perfect amount. The sauce on top is delicious, so don’t skimp! One of my favorite parts is that it is a one-shot buffet style: you pay for your entrée and fit as much«vegetables» on your plate as you can(or would like to, but I took it as a challenge). The«vegetables» are mainly green beans, cole slaw, and mac n cheese… don’t fool yourself into thinking this is healthy, but at least there are options! I got mac n cheese and green beans and they were perfect. I’m 95% sure the green beans were cooked with bacon, so you understand my lust. I tried my boyfriend’s brisket, which was yummy, too. He had no complaints, just a little jealousy: «I should’ve ordered the ribs, too.» And to top it off, employees walk around with hot fresh buns in a basket. They taste like the perfect mixture of butter and heaven. The only downside I experienced was that the bathroom was about 20 degrees colder than the rest of the restaurant. When I get a hankering for good ol’ Texas BBQ again, I’ll be back.

I had not been here in several years, but was totally craving a nice fatty piece of brisket. I ordered the brisket sandwich and potato. Good grief… had no idea the potato was going to be that big, are totally loaded with bacon, sour cream, mountains of melted cheese… and more! the brisket sandwich with outstanding! I loved how they took my special request for a succulent serving of fatty beef on the sandwich! No scales… it was a mountain out beef! I also loved the fresh rolls!

I apologize but this review is from March 5, 2012. Sausage was awesome, I love sausage and this stuff was near the top Ribs were meaty and smoked the way I like them. The Brisket was not disappointing, very good. Sides of Potato salad and beans were on mark. Very good. My favorite item here was the banana pudding. One of the best I’ve had. Oh yeah, I also remember the bread. Fresh… very good. I’ve eaten here three times. Being from NC I do not get this way often. Next time I visit I’ll be sure to give a better review. However, I do recommend this place.

Came to Spring Creek Barbeque with high recommendations and expectations, left with what is the all the hype about. We had a party of 8 and almost everything on the menu. Brisket 4⁄5 stars the best of the meats Pork ribs 2⁄5 stars dry dry dry drowned in BBQ sauce Sausages 3⁄5 stars two kinds can’t really tell the difference soaked in BBQ sauce. Pulled Pork 3⁄5 stars good thing I used the regular BBQ sauce and not the super vinegary one that comes with the pulled pork, Sides were good. corn, mac and cheese, green beans, potato salad, pork and beans, fresh hot buns, free vanilla ice cream. This is a self serve get a tray and your food place service is not applicable. N/A We actually sat and conversed a while with a table full of dishes trays and glasses no one offered to clear any of them.
