I ordered online because of the holiday. I knew it would be busy so I wanted to make sure I didn’t have to wait. I arrived at 11:35 to pick up my 11:30 order. They had no idea what I was talking about. I was told to sit and someone would be with me. I waited 6 mins before anyone else came over to ask my name or about my order. Once they dos find it, at 11:45 they told me all the orders were for 11:30 so it would be 5 minutes. So my 11:30 order into be ready until 11:50? Last time I order from taco cabana. Finally leaving at 11:56 after I had to go back inside because they forgot my quesadilla. When I asked if next time I should just come and order to go, because 3 people came after me,(ordered as much food as me, and left before me) got their food first. He didn’t apologize just said we had a lot of orders today.

The people were not that nice. The food was excellent and I try to go to the places I know are good. But I was not at all impressed with the service there. I almost asked for the manager, but decided to just leave instead.

Walked in and went to restroom, but on our way back to order, we say tortillas on the floor. It was not a good thing that we had to wait to order because we got to see how the food was prepared and it did not look well. The meat seem to go from a drawer to the grill and without care. A lady making quesadillas seemed more involved in the conversation with a coworker than with us. Then as we walked out, the cashier looked at is through the window as if we were creating an injustice by leaving. I could not justify my health by staying.

This store is conveniently on my way home from work, which would make it perfect for a meal after a long day. That being said, I would rather drive to Walmart and buy the ingredients to make a peanut butter and bleach sandwich than ever go to this store again. The people here hate you, I promise. They hate every single customer to drives up to the window and makes them work at all. You know when people get mad at the thought of raising minimum wage and say it’s just a bunch of hoodlums that don’t work while they’re at work anyway? Yeah, these are those people. They’ll go out of their way to be rude, give you the wrong order, and they’ll also take their sweet time doing it. «Hi! Can I get a 3 oz container of salsa ranch for my chips?» Nah, we’re gonna go out of our way to give you one ounce containers of LITERALLYEVERYOTHERSALSAAVAILABLE. Sure doesn’t help that taco cabana, as a chain, has high prices with cheap ingredients. But that being said, I used to visit a different one all the time! Every single employee should be fired here. This is not only the worst experience I’ve had at a taco cabana, but CONSISTENTLY the worst restaurant I have been to PERIOD. I suggest every employee quit as you clearly hate your lives. Or y’all could just fire them, that’d be work for me too. They are the rudest people you will ever meet. I award you no stars, and may God have mercy on your souls.

So I answered the survey online for Taco Cabana and it pretty much reflected what lots of people said on Unilocal. A really nice guy named Reuben called me and stated he was there to fix the mess that is this Taco Cabana. He askedpertanantquestions and said he would comp me dinner if I came back in 3 weeks. We will see”

When you order a combo that is suppose to come with chips and queso, you would expect queso right? Well apparently the teenagers that work here making minimum wage can care less about your queso and once you get home and realize that they did not include queso with your order… it’s too late! F**ck this Taco Cabana!

Garbage. I ordered Street Tacos based on the picture displayed at the drive through and because I’ve ordered them previously(from other locations). What I received looked nothing like the picture. What I got looked and tasted like mushy mystery meat. With no flavor other than salt. I have nothing good to say about my meal.

Any past issues reported with the dining area have long been addressed. It is like your own personal kitchen here, but why cook for one when the food is so freaking delicious and abundant! I continue to love the friendly staff that greets me by name and makes me feel comfortable. Small things like changing the TV channels are giving you twice as much guacamole than you ordered«by accident» is always appreciated. And it is always so glittery and sparkly CLEAN from parking lot to bathrooms!

They make it fresh and don’t give you leftovers like some other locations. I would say it’s good overall.

I go here a couple times a month while traveling on business to DFW and on its best day the service(drive up) is slow here relative to other joints like this but the food is a better than most fast Mexican so I usually put up with it. Last night about 10:30 or so I pulled in the drive through and place a simple order and was asked to pull forward and wait. No problem . Well 5 minutes later a couple cars pass through the drive through and get their food and leave. Hmm? That’s weird. It’s not busy other than a couple customers. Long Story short, after 20 minutes nothing. I get out of my car and go into the restaurant. They had forgotten about me and had not even started my order. I asked for and received my refund but no apology nor an explanation.

I’ve had multiple problems with this location — order wrong, paid for cheese but didn’t get cheese, dry old crusty beans, eggs that were crunchy, old old old pico de gallo, employees that could care less and looked like drug addicts, far less than normal or adequate portions of menu items, employees wearing gloves to protect THEM from the food not US from their hands, i.e. they handle cash use the register sweep then leave the same gloves on to prep food — but today was the last straw. There was a mite or a flea or something crawling around in my egg taco this morning. Called the shift leader and let her know and she didn’t sound concerned or sorry in the least. Never going back. Do not go to this location!

Food is good for the price and quality but the service is slow. Breakfast tacos are good and their store made tortillas make a big difference. Their main problem is that they are always short staffed or have real poor service. They could go a long way if they can pay attention to their staffing

If I could give 0 stars I would. We went in, excited about our chance to get to eat at Taco Cabana, because we don’t do it often. Our excitement slowly faded when we stood, waiting to order for 5 minutes while 3 different employees saw us standing there. We waited patiently, hoping for an «I’ll be right with you.» From ANY of them. That did NOT happen. We left disappointed and will be sure to call corporate, as this is usually not the case with the Taco Cabanas we’ve visited.

I wish I could choose 0 stars. Ordered 3 beef tacos to go. They were floating in fat from the meat. Out of 5 meals there, it’s the same every time. I’m not going to be back! It’s a for sure arterial blocker.

If it was possible I would put no stars. I had the worst experience here ever. Apparently it takes 20 mins to cook a cheese quesadilla which is just cheese and tortillas right? Must be super hard. Actually a BURNT quesadilla. Asked for guac and sour cream got none… Called the store asked for manger she picked up and I asked how long does it take for a cheese quesadilla she a no more than five mins. An I said well I waited for 20mins and she started making up excuse that there was 20 people in the store(I drove around and looked in there was like 3 or four at most). An she wouldn’t let me speak and hung up on me. Wouldn’t give me her name after I asked multiple times. Called back twice no answer… So I waited five mins and called back finally I got her to answer FYI her name is Yari. Asked why I got no gauc and sour cream she said there is a shortage of them. An that there are signs posted every where there was none. So I paid for extra guac and got none. Great. Also asked for black beans and got none… Yes I should have checked the back to make sure but damn I was annoyed that I had to sit there for 20mins. So long story short DONOTGOTHEREUNLESSYOUWANTEDTOBETREATEDLIKESHIT. I will call there head corporation

Staff is friendly. Lunch and dinner is good. Breakfast not so much. Towards the end of the night, they tend to let the salsa bar run dry. As well as the soda fountain and tables need to be cleaned. Expect to wait longer on your food if there is a line to order. The kitchen staff has a hard time keeping up when busy.

Hello Taco Cabana management, who are apparently now all accountants, and not restaurant people: you’ve officially gone CHEAPASS on US! «What is this guy Unilocaling about?» I’m sure someone must be sputtering. «What is this guy whining about?» Well, I’ll tell you. Free chips. That’s right. Free chips. Except they are no longer free. Those little crunchy bits of fried tortilla that have been one of the branding staples that defines Taco Cabana as better and a better value than Taco Bell or Taco Bueno are no longer free. Now, Taco Cabana has stepped from an upscale yet affordable mid-tier dining room to a cheap ass accountants wonderland. So, what now? I’m sure that the powers that be will go cheap ass on everything else. A little«dietary cellulose» added to the masa for the tortillas saves a few cents per dozen. Of course, it’s just powdered sawdust to the rest of us. And why worry about the source of your meat? Why not a little kangaroo as Burger King served decades ago as a cost savings measure? I mean, don’t real Mexicans eat dogs? It’s just more authentic, right? Yeah, I’m all worked up about the loss of my free bowl of corn chips. I took time to count them and they was exactly 40 corn tortilla chips in my bowl. Each chip is one-eighth of a tortilla, so Taco Cabana begrudges me five fried tortillas and a paper boat. Maybe they save thirty-cents per customer who remembers to ask for the chips. Multiply that by, say, 50 order per day, and you save a whopping $ 15 per store. Whoopee. They drop more than that on the floor. As for me, I’ll probably keep eating at the newly degraded cheap ass Taco Cabana. The food is fabulous, the stores clean, and the people nice. But going cheap ass is the first step to fast food mediocrity. Then I won’t keep eating there.

Oh Taco Cabana, you used to be my favorite… WHATHAPPENED?! I would consider my family and I regulars, visiting every other weekend for a friday or saturday night dinner. Every visit of ours consists of frozen margaritas, chips and queso, quesadillas, and tacos. The food is phenomenal, don’t get me wrong, but last night my parents visited for dinner and were presented with a «change of policy» My father ordered his usual chips and queso, but was abruptly confronted with a «new policy.» No longer are the chips complimentary. No longer are you able to get chip refills without paying for them. The second disappointment came when my their quesadillas arrived. In past visits, all the quesdillas were topped with a small taco shell bowl containing sour cream and guacamole. It was awesome! BUT that too has changed now. The quesadillas now no longer include the taco shell with toppings and blatantly are accompanied by sour cream in a plastic black container to the side. It seems to me that Taco Cabana is slowly lowering the quality of food and service they’re known for. As a TC fan for years, I’m very disappointed and sad that I have to write this review. Time to start looking for a replacement…
