Tacos Y Mas

This place is great. Plenty of options for tacos and salsa. I ate here probably 4 times a week while I was in the Dallas area. They got that cow head. Yeah, cow head. Churros were awesome too and filled with caramel. I told my coworkers about it and they all loved it. Bombero salsa is just right. That’s about all I have to say about that.

Pretty good nachos. Place was clean and prices were ok.

Delicious! I eat tacos every day so I like to think of myself as ‘the taco snob’. My husband and I came for breakfast and I had the steak and egg, bacon and egg and a barbacoa no cheese on corn smothered in chipotle sauce and omg it was amazing!!! The ingredients were fresh, not greasy and I never wanted it to end. The service was great; fast and polite. Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Stopped here for a quick breakfast on our way out of town. The burrito bowl was enough to split between two people. It’s at the end of a strip mall but don’t let it fool you, it’s a great taco joint. Much better than a chain and reasonably priced. Breakfast for two under $ 15.

We were looking for street tacos and ran into tacos y mas. My husband got 5 tacos and I got the 3 steak street tacos combo that comes with rice and beans.
The tacos came loaded with cilantro, sautéed onions, and lines to squeeze over them. They also have five different salsas to choose from. The steak was good, cut well, but could use a little more flavor. I really liked them otherwise especially when loaded with all the goodies on top.
The rice and beans were bland but you go for the tacos so no complaints from me.
I can’t wait to come back for the breakfast tacos that are served all day. They also have nachos that I want to try.
This is a great place to stop in and get tacos. The staff is extremely friendly and the restaurant is nice.

I don’t think I have ever been so disappointed in a taco.
My coworkers frequented this place and always brought it back– which had a great aroma That filled the office. They also talked about how authentic the street tacos were. Fine, okay… i’ll take the bait– another coworker and I decided we would try it.
I tried the barbacoa and chicken. She tried all chicken, and we brought back some chicken tacos for another coworker. I also purchased some chips and queso.
Let me tell you, the goodness stops at the aroma. Firstly, the wait for our to-​go order was obscene. Second, the food was nasty. I don’t typically talk so negatively about a place unless they deserve it, but this was not good at all. All three of us felt sick for the rest of the day– and do not talk about this lunch mistake.
We will take this experience to the grave. SPARE YOURSELF.

Good food, good deals and always have coupons or free kids meals with an adult purchase. We go at least once a month.

Consistency eludes the people who are running this shop. The wife and I love several things on the menu at Tacos Y Mas. We would like to eat at Tacos Y Mas more, but we frequently ask ourselves if we are willing to gamble on the big two issues.
Issue 1 is the lack of consistency on the quality of the food ordered. Sometimes the tacos are soggy and too greasy. Other times, the food is just totally different in flavor and (spice) heat. With a wife who sometimes is sensitive to food being to spicy hot, this is a bigger issue than it is to others. We have had the street tacos be short a taco or two before.
Issue 2 is the customer service issues. Check your order, forgetting items from the order is a common occurrence. My favorite, twice when asking for no tomatoes resulted in no cheese but plenty of tomatoes. Or when ordering we ask for extra of the chipotle sauce, and only had it is the bag 1 of 3 times asked on average. Like some of the other reviewers, I have had difficulty getting my order submitted in a timely manner. Be it a training issue with the person operating the register, or the fact that I am not fluent in spanish, resulting in people behind me getting helped first while I waited for the english speaker.
So with all of that you might wonder why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. Well let me say that the breakfast tacos are great. When the order is correct, the food beats Taco Bell and Taco Bueno. But I do know this, they are off the current rotation again. Tacos y Mas might get another chance after we have tire of some of the other local options.

Great tacos for the price. Way better than taco cabana and a little bit cheaper. My wife and I really like this place. Especially, the breakfast tacos which are served all day

The barbacoa street tacos are very good.

The whole order was wrong
Ordered the Chilekillas. I ASKED the lady point blank before ordering that I wanted extra egg, extra beans– NO rice –She asked me do you want RED or Green? I said the one that is NOT hot… well… NO extra beans, got rice, got plenty of tortilla, and FREAKING HOT BEYOND belief!!!
BTW — - I ordered all this in SPANISH! UNREAL

Great taco spot food is fresh and very good. Great price for a fresh taco experience! Lots of sauce options and great salsa and queso and chips. Good location off Plano rd and restaurant was very clean inside!

Great food. I love the choice of hot sauce and the #5 combo. Tacos are great too. Come and enjoy some great food.

5 stars due to a quick to-​go meal. I really wanted breakfast tacos, and went to another restaurant but they ended their breakfast at 10:30am and the time was 10:35! I remembered that Tacos Y Mas served breakfast all day! So I was pretty excited!
I called my order in for two Big D Burrito without the Pico De Gallo. And I tell you! Less than 5 mintues I was out and it was fresh! I came home and it was still hot. So delicious with their hot sauce! One of the best Breakfast burritos I’ve eaten! I’ll always be back if I want some mexican breakfast during the day!
Location was easy to find, and staff is friendly!

Best tacos in the area. Really delicious and the guy at front very patient and really helpful. He even brought them all the way to my car!

The food is freshly made to order — and the establishment is a great addition of authentic variety to the neighborgood.

This place is doomed to fail. My second visit and it was pathetic beyond belief. The girl did not understand one thing I ordered, so I had to use broken Spanish to help her.
Then she couldn’t figure out the POS system and she asked me to help her. WTH?
It took her 10 minutes to order my food, then 3 ppl behind me who ordered, left within 5 minutes with their food.
I waited 15 minutes for my food and they forgot my tortillas. #facepalm
So I asked for tortillas and waited another 10 minutes. I’m wondering why it takes so long to bring me tortillas.
Now I figured it out. They were cooking me migas instead of getting tortillas. This is getting ridiculous.
So I’m freaking out after being there 30 minutes, and finally I screamed «MAIZE TORTILLAS!»
They finally got it right and now I’m done with this place. It doesn’t get any worse than this. I’ll never be back again.

Finally stopped by. Good tacos. I tried the carnitas and barbacoa. The meats were moist and nicely seasoned, surrounded by a double layer of corn tortilla. I topped my lunch with their spicy cream sauce, a nice surprise. Too close to work. This might become addictive.

As always I got exited to come here first time. Sadly to say this will be my first and last visit. No taste on their tacos…
If you dont mind driving a few miles east I highly recommend Monterrey taquerias in Garland.

Tried this place out with a Groupon and when I went to redeem it the lady at the counter didn’t know anything about it-​like nothing. I don’t even think she knew what Groupon even was. She applied as a credit and then wanted us to pay the difference. Thankfully another guy jumped in just as we were getting ready to leave and fixed the whole mess. But a first impression like this really sucks. Anyhow the tacos were actually pretty good. And they have about five or six salsas you can choose from. Their prices are steeper than other taco joints but still affordable. And they also include limes with ur tacos but they are slim little slivers of them. I’d come back to this place but I don’t think I would want that first lady to wait on me.
