Rates highly in my book because it’s a non-smoking establishment which is hard to come by in Richardson. Other than that, they have decent beers on tap and good service. It’s a local place but everyone is friendly. They have a few TV’s to catch the game. Nothing really unique about it.

This place was not what I expected from reviews. Maybe it was the timing? The drinks were terrible, service lacked and the food was not very good.

This place is awesome. How it got two dollar signs is beyond me. I am sitting here and my tab is at $ 5.50 and I have almost drank a whole bottle of wine, no joke. And not cheap wine. The bartender is really nice and straight hooks you up. We will definitely return. Atmosphere is casual, kind of old fashioned. The food doesn’t sound appetizing, but the price is fantastic it makes up for it. No smoking inside! ! Husband said they have a good beer selection.

Great food and great people. Love supporting local small businesses and it doesn’t hurt that the pizza is also great!

I planned to go here to hear some karaōke, but unfortunately, there was a cover band last night. The music was pretty good, but the lame jokes by the band were god awful. I got a delicious signature chicken tender salad. It was a generous portion and was a 5⁄5. I ordered the Ooey Gooey chocolate chip dessert. The ice cream was frost bitten, but the cookie itself was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and everyone was very welcoming. I’d return.

I’ve had this place bookmarked on my Unilocal as a must try based on reviews. It’s close to my area and people seemed to enjoy. I ordered BLT and fries. Here I go again ordering what people did not recommend, but hey, anything on the menu should be fair game, right? The thick cut bacon that was described so wonderfully on the menu was the exact opposite of that. See pic. My turkey bacon from Kroger is thicker cut than what I was served. My fries were cold and soft. Again, not being in the mood to pay for something I didn’t like(I mean, aren’t we all tired of that?!), I called the bartender and told her I would be returning for a full refund. I didn’t eat the food and ended up at Sonic. Pitiful, huh? Yea it’s been a tough food week. The bartender put the manager on the phone. I explained the situation. He half heartedly stated that their fries are cooked to order so what probably happened was that it got cold on my way home. Yea, buddy, ok, whatever you say. I quickly shut that down and recommended that he have a talk with his cook because«cooked to order» fries is not what I received. I went back and got my money next day. Order total was a little over 8 bucks and he handed me two fresh fives. Hey, I ain’t complainin, whatevs, a little for my trouble. The owner was nice and all but based on the newer reviews, maybe they should focus on getting it right the first time. I don’t think I’ll be giving this one another try.

The food is still outstanding, and the service is generally good, too. However, one of the things that made this restaurant special was the involvement of the ownership in the day to day operations of the business. I’ve noticed that on many nights this isn’t the case anymore. Chris and Aimee have infectious personalities and that is reflected in many of the Unilocal reviews. They used to be there for at least part of most nights and would introduce themselves to customers and assist when needed. This hasn’t been the case as often lately and some of the poorer reviews are direct reflection of this. I eat here all the time, and will continue to eat here because I know the food is outstanding. Because of the lapses in service on occasions it seems like there are quite a few people who haven’t been able to find this out.

I would like to update my review. Based upon my last review, one of the owners(Chris) reached out to me to express his apologies for our experience during our first visit. We corresponded back and forth via email and finally were able to go back tonight and give The Line another opportunity. When my family walked in, the bartender greeted us warmly and advised us to sit where we would like. She was our initial waitress during our first visit. Chris was talking with some patrons at the bar and immediately walked over and introduced himself to us. In fact, he sat down with my whole family and provided a history of the bar and his involvement with it. He also took the time to apologize for our dining experience last time and went over the areas that they have addressed in an effort to improve. I found him warm, personable and most importantly genuine. My children ordered the chicken fingers like last time and my wife and I shared«The Meat Pie» pizza. We ordered it extra crispy. We had a couple of sodas, a tea and water for drinks. Chris sat and chatted with us for a good while and our waitress was very attentive the entire time. The food came in a reasonable amount of time and we enjoyed conversation with Chris for a good portion of that period. When the food did come, let’s just say that my wife and we were pleasantly surprised. The pizza had a healthy amount of toppings and was cooked to perfection. What we weren’t prepared for was how good the pizza actually was(in a bar of all places!). We have lived in a lot of places, including Connecticut and New York. We like to consider ourselves judges of good thin & crispy pizza. We have not had pizza this good since Connecticut! It was great! We looked at our kids chicken fingers and fries and tried them out. Both were crispy with good flavor. Not like the first time when they were soggy and floppy. The kids really liked them, so did my wife and I. Chris told us that they worked on the getting the deep fryer just right. He said he listened to our feedback and made changes. Chris was honest when he spoke with us. In a nutshell, he said that they missed the mark our first visit. He wanted to correct it. Boy did they ever. I totally understand what Chris meant. Sometimes we just have an off day. That particular day was just an off day for them. Looking at the bar I saw several regulars again. Chris explained that they look to build off a reputation as a local spot for both singles and families. They want to be known in the community and be a part of it. You could see(and hear it with the laughter coming from the bar) that they are achieving the mark in that endeavor. The food today was on. Sometimes we all miss the mark and have an off day. Chris and his team really showed that when it does happen, he wants to learn from it and make it better. It’s that desire to get better that really sold my family and I on The Line. That and the great pie. I read on their menu that Tuesday nights are ½ price pizza. My wife and I will definitely be back and have another pizza pie. Even if it is on a night other than Tuesday!!! Thanks Chris! Looking forward to seeing you again.

Saw the mostly positive reviews and decided to give it a try. I guess we should have taken the warning of the review posted by Ray S. Bartender was our server. There were two other tables occupied. She spent her time talking with her friends at the end of the bar. She forgot our appetizer order until I reminded her. Our drinks were empty for quite a while and she didn’t come back to the table. I eventually walked to the bar to request refills and she still continued to play with her phone and talk to her friends. At this point I had to just close the tab, cancel the order and head somewhere else for dinner.

I’ve been here 3x now. The first time around, I wasn’t really impressed. We sat, ordered drinks, listened to people doing karaōke and that’s about it. The second time was an upgrade. Bar tender were attentive and I had my very first Four Bullets’ Red Ale and it was really good. As far as I know this is the only bar serving it as the brewery is new and they are only open on Saturday afternoons for now. The crowd this time is more lively. We came back for the third time to have another satisfy our cravings of Four Bullets’ Red Ale beer, unfortunate they were out. The good thing was the vibe’s very jumpy so we ended up staying for a few more drinks while we contemplate over a missed brew. Haha

Great place to watch the game. Big projector screen that you can see from anywhere in the place. Sunday happy hour all day starting @ 3pm until close. $ 2.75 you call it and the food is good too! I would recommend if you are looking from somewhere chill where you can enjoy some food, drink, and watch the game. Hidden gem in Plano

Good local dive bar. The pizzas are great bar food and the«soup of the day» is always a treat(A.K.A. their clever way to promote their drink or shot of the day). Friday nights are karaōke nights and it gets busy, so get there early if you can!

Recent upgrades to their menu. Decided to stop by for Sunday lunch and the food is great. No long lines but enough people to mix and mingle with. Got some great tunes on the radio and watching golf on the huge projection screen. Lazy Sunday ;) @ The Line. Great job guys on turning this into our home away from home.

This is an excellent place to spend happy hour and the food is amazing! Fantastic prices and the staff is extremely friendly and love the atmosphere! I recommend this place to all my friends that come to Dallas from out of town. All the bartenders take the time to remember your name and drink, and they make you feel welcome as soon as you enter the door. The owners are hands on and on several occasions have spent time with me directly, ensuring my experience was top notch. It’s nice to see such a refreshingly warm small business bar among so many other cookie-cutter cold Dallas joints.

Given the reviews. My son and I went, and it was not a good experience. We’ve been back, invited by the owner. The second time it was great! The pizza is amazing! We’ve been back several times.

We came here last night after meeting in Richardson for Small Group. I stumbled upon The Line while searching for nearby places to try. The Line is located next to Amigos Mexican Restaurant on Belt Line just past Greenville. My husband and I drove separately, so I stepped inside to wait for him. Everyone that worked there came up and greeted me and asked if I had been helped. Once my husband arrived, one of the owners warmly greeted us and introduced himself to us by shaking our hands. He led us to one of their tables and gave us a run down of what was offered. He mentioned that he had a background at Campsi’s and that the pizzas shared the similar thin crust. He mentioned that the burgers were all made by hand and the French fries were all hand cut as well. We were impressed with how friendly everyone was and how the owner went out of his way to make sure we felt welcomed. Our server was the same way. She was attentive without being annoying. I would give customer service and A+. My hubby ordered the bacon cheeseburger, medium rare, with French fries and I ordered the chicken tenders with regular fries as well. You can add sweet potato fries for $ 1 more — which is a steal actually. The food was typical bar food, but untypical in that it was all fresh and homemade. You could taste that the burgers and the chicken was not frozen. The fries were great and had a hint of garlic seasoning. They almost reminded me of a Wing Stop French fry. Our food came out within ten to fifteen minutes. Super quick. We devoured our meal. The chicken tenders were a tad greasy and the breading was having a hard time sticking to the chicken, but I really enjoyed the seasoning and ate the whole thing. There was also karaōke that was going on. It was loud but fun. I could see me coming back, having a few drinks, hanging out with friends. The whole kicker of the night, besides the stellar customer service, was the tab. $ 19 for two meals. WHAT?! Come here and check this place out. You are treated like family and it doesn’t hurt your wallet.
