First time here, wasn’t sure if they were open 24 hours since most reviews were dated. Very clean, decent prices. The only other 24 hour laundromat in city is nothing compared to this one. Great Find :)

I’ve taken some of my larger items to this Laundry before and never saw an attendant. Today i stopped by to get quarters to do my laundry at home in our smaller washers. I didn’t know this was not allowed and have never seen a sign or anything saying this. I was immediately accosted by some haggard blonde woman who immediately yelled at me asking if I was doing laundry here. I said«no» and then she became more irate saying that the quarters are only for customers and that they are not a bank. If she would have been NICE to me I would not have cared but instead her approach was rude and completely unwarranted. I will never go here for laundry again. Hang up a damn sign instead of yelling at people.

This place used to be clean and well maintained; however, a new owner took over and has made the place a complete mess. One wall is boarded up with wood. The change machine is often out of quarters. The laundromat card machine charges people but spits out cards that don’t work & the washers are always dusty. Unfortunately this will be my last visit.

I’ve been here twice since my basement is being remodeled. The first time was OK, the second time was bad. Both times the place was a pigsty with a large percentage of their washing machines and dryers out of commission. The second time one their«working» washing machines didn’t spin properly. They don’t have a super spinner and none of the machines can do a partial cycle(e.g. only the spin) so I was out in the parking lot hand wringing my towels(or course it had to be the towels) and paying for a LOT of extra drying time. Both time I was there was fairly«normal» times and I never saw an attendant and there didn’t seem to be any way to bring such problems to anyone’s attention, much less request a refund. And I’m fairly sure that my clothes just aren’t as clean(although to be honest this just might be sour grapes.)

On July 15th, a man claiming to be the owner of the LaundroMax on Clinton was incredibly rude to me and accosted me when I came back to start my drying. He never introduced himself, he just yelled at me, «AREYOUDOINGLAUNDRYHERE?» the minute I stepped toward the change machine. When I told him that I was legitimately there to dry my laundry(pointing to my basket on top of the washer), he offered no apology for accosting me on the way to the change machine. He said he was the owner, and when I asked him where he was earlier when I needed change(I left to break my twenty, which I neither wanted to put on my LaundroMax card, nor change into $ 20 worth of quarters), he stepped threateningly to me and said, «We’re not staffed 24⁄7.» I know you’re not staffed 24/7, because you’re not OPEN24⁄7. It was the least helpful, least welcoming atmosphere I have ever experienced. I am a local. I have been coming to this laundromat for the better part of a decade. I have never seen this«owner» before; he never demonstrated the professionalism of a businessman, nor the manners of an adult. This establishment has worsened ever since it stopped being a Giant Wash, and it still has the GIANTWASH logo on the awning. Clearly whoever owns it cares not one whit for the community in which it exists(save for perhaps having large enough machines that the local Somali community can wash their large prayer rugs in… but a captive consumer audience does not equal loyalty). There are no attendants, the place is filthy, sometimes the machines smell like a diaper, and flat screen televisions and marked up soda pop machines do not improve it one bit. I will be encouraging everyone I know, that if they have an alternate option for doing laundry other than the Clinton Avenue LaundroMax, that they should avail themselves of it. I will never return to this establishment, even though it is highly convenient, only a block from us. I’d rather trudge up and down my stairs and use the crappy too-small laundry in our building all day than give another penny of my money to a business that was so rude to me.
