Petco

I’ve been there to shop for dog food for my dog. They have a great selection of dog food and toys. I especially like that they have a variety of dietary dog food, which is needed for one of my dogs. Overall, I am able to find everything I need pretty easily. The place has everything organized pretty well.
The employees are are polite when I check out. I haven’t needed much assistance in choosing and finding what I need, but they’re good at offering. They keep the shop pretty clean when I’m there. I think overall, this is a good atmosphere that makes me comfortable.
As long as they keep doing the excellent job that they’re doing, I’ll keep coming back.

Love this location. I like the feel and it’s one of the few Petco’s with cute accessories (ie. pet bowls, collar add-on’s). Hosting Pet Haven’s adoption events probably helps the ambiance too. Pet Haven is a great group. i probably live about 30 min away but this is one of my favorite pet stores

The place is a joke. Tried to use there self serve wash twice. They had new hoops to jump thru. So never used it even thou the place was dead. Probably don’t want you to use it they just want to get in there.

We’ve been using the self-​service dog bath at this Petco for the past 10 years. The self-​service feature is, in itself, awesome! It’s allowed us to use their sturdy tub, shampoo, towels and dryer to bathe our beautiful, gregarious yellow lab. I’ve always appreciated this service and raved about it to friends. However, when I go there to use the self-​service, the groomers (increasingly so) are very stand-​offish and cold, barely extending a greeting, even though the same groomers have seen us for such a long time. We’ve always been friendly and our dog is very friendly as well. It’s obvious to me me that this behavior is intentional as all the groomers (5 working at a time), will all ignore us as if we weren’t even there, even though we’re together in a tight space and they chat with each other the entire time. It’s unnatural and very obvious that we are being ignored on purpose. Not even a friendly greeting! So why don’t they even acknowledge us or our dog? I think it’s because we pay Petco $ 15.00 for the service we do ourselves, and not $ 60 we would pay to let their groomers do it which often results in a tip for them. So while they can’t refuse to let us use this service, they are passive-​aggressively very unfriendly, rude and cold, ignoring us completely. In the most blatant scenario yet, I went there on Monday by myself to bathe my dog. I was a bit early so I waited in the reception area. I was coldly checked in, but that’s normal. Then a full-​service grooming customer came through the door, and one of the groomers, a woman with long dark hair who’s seen us for over 9 years now but is unfriendly and refuses to acknowledge us or our dog, tells me coldly, «I have a dog-​agressive dog coming in, could you go wait inside the store.» I did so and stood there waiting for her to say «Thank you, you can come back in now», but she just looked at me in her typical unfriendly way, then looked away leaving me to infer when it was okay to come back to use the tub I’d scheduled. Since I was alone, without my hubby this time, I had a little trouble coaxing my dog up the ramp. The groomers, those who were not busy, saw this and did not offer to help. Finally, I asked someone I’d never seen before if she could help with the back end. she reluctantly did so without speaking a word, of course. Okay, soI bathed my dog as always and it took about 40 minutes, the whole time I felt uncomfortable as I was ignored while they chatted amongst themselves… the elephant in the room I s’pose. Again, no one so much as acknowledged me or my pooch even though we had to pass by each other multiple times. No eye contact even. I felt very unwelcome and insulted by this behavior and I really wonder if Petco management intends for these groomers to target customers who don’t pay for full service grooming to be treated so rudely and dismissively. I doubt it. The self-​service customer today could be the full grooming customer tomorrow. Maybe I’d have to rely on groomers because my schedule gets really busy, etc. After how they’ve ignored my dog and myself, I would never leave her alone with them nor would I recommend them to my friends who use full service grooming. Very short-​sighted and a customer service nightmare. The manager of this area completely condones this behavior as well.
P. S. I would not leave my dog here to be serviced with these groomers. If they’re that disinterested and cold to my dog because I’m doing a self-​service, imagine what they’re like to yours when there aren’t any self-​service customers there watching. Maybe that’s why they don’t care for self-​service customers in their space. The woman with the long dark hair has a very poor attitude, I would avoid her. The guy is pretty cold as well.

Passive aggressive and rude… We were 10 minutes late for an appointment and they refused to take our dog. We will not return.

I frequent this Petco, even though it’s slightly out of the way… because I feel that they have a better selection of items than the PetSmart in Richfield. Plus I think their prices are a tad bit less.
Haven’t checked out the groomers yet, but will definitely check them out soon — — since I have long-​haired dachsie.
Staff has been super friendly.

4 stars for how nicely they treated my very fussy beagle during a toenail trim. We brought him in muzzled, and the woman came out and sat on the floor with us and did a great job quickly cutting his nails, and being sweet to a very scared pooch. Totally worth the 10 bucks.

I got my dogs groomed here this weekend and am VERY happy with the results. They came back to me very soft, clean in all of the areas pugs need to be clean (I didn’t even need to remind the groomer about the face folds) AND wearing gender specific (pink for Ruby and blue for Carl) bandanas. I can’t even begin to explain how much I hate those stupid little bows my usual groomer puts on their colllars. Oh, and they didn’t SMELL like they had been groomed. Actually, they didn’t smell at all which I think is a good thing. I got there a little early while Carl was still on the table and he looked like he was having the time of his life. As silly as it sounds, I’m always a little concerned that their are secretly being raked over hot coals or something when I leave them.
At a very reasonable $ 22 per dog, I’m definitely switching over to Petco for grooming.
