The food menu is not as great as it was in the past but they have great wine. They’re patio is nice on a spring or summer day.

Will never ear here again! Worst food ever from a winery and was not worth the money spent!!! Food was cold and bland, mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box, and they two baby carrots that came with our entrée were not cooked!

Stopped in Sunday for brunch. It was snowy and cold and the fireplace in the winery was welcoming. The staff is always so very nice. I had the quiche which was lovely but even better and a big surprise were the grits with sausage and a hint of fennel. I hesitated to order them because of the fennel… I’m so glad I gave them a try. They were yummy and creamy and warm with just a swirl of maple syrup. Perfect. I plan to go back next Sunday.

Great place for Sunday brunch. Probably one of the best brunches in town, have never had anything off the brunch menu I didn’t love. Fresh squeezed grapefruit mimosas were killer. And they are always so friendly here. They normal menu and wines are also incredible.(They also have a really good music selection playing)

We were at the end of a long trip when we visited, and had already visited upwards of 25 wineries from Napa to Sonoma to the Walla Walla/Yakima Valley area. Neither of us are big cabernet drinkers, but Barnard Griffins reserves were to die for. Kirk was kind enough to let us taste these, which were previously only available to club members. We ended up leaving with a case of wine. Not to be missed.

Went for lunch on Saturday and it was quiet. A beautiful day so we sat on the lovely patio and enjoyed a most delicious pair of sandwiches. The Lambwich was great, like I’ve never had lamb… sliced thin like roast beef with a delicate flavor on a good roll. I’m a bread person and this roll looked like cibatta but the crumb was airy and light. Spouse loved his croque monsieur. I had the flight of 3 red wines,(Barbera+++) and all were very, very good w/generous pours. We’re just passing through, but if we lived here, we’d be back.

Venue us nice, wine a bit pricy for the quality. The port is fantastic, and can be bought anywhere. Service is excellent, staff is friendly. Great glass gallery on site.

This is one of Washington’s best wineries! We’ve been so many places, and the wine here just can’t be surpassed. Service was friendly, tastings were generous. This is THEPLACE to taste wine in the tri-cities area.

This place has a fun bistro next door to the wine tasting section of the building. You can order a selection of wines AND still put in an order for snacks in the wine tasting section. They brought us a bunch of cheese, some super delicious baguette slices that I could eat for days, nuts, figs, and this amazing invention called the chocolate sausage. I know what you’re thinking, that either sounds disgusting or perverse, just hang with me for a second. It’s a soft chocolate that has pistachios and a little bit of a kick that initially comes in a tube form. When served it’s sliced thinly and will make you a believer in tubed chocolate in a totally not perverse way… man that got weird. Anyway, the wine was awesome and my favorite place to go tasting so far. I took home two inexpensive and delicious bottles. Only one survived the night but not the full weekend. I guess I’ll have to go back asap! Oh and I bought a whole chocolate sausage and gobbled it down… in a not weird way…

Don’t know much about BG Orange Muscat other than that it is delicious with orange power! Impressed how easy the sweet sips played with all. Bottle ordered promptly to take home. 1. Whipped gorgonzola bacon truffles — yum. 2. Dungeness caked with crab. 3. Winter pasta — well… after a couple wine flights you are flying and they will help you forgive and forget.

We have been going to Barnard Griffin for 18 years. Their wines always range from very good to excellent! We consider them a top Washington winery. Now that we live in Maryland, we don’t get to visit as often but our visit in September was very enjoyable as we had lunch on the patio, admired the glass art, and sipped wine. They never disappoint. Now I just need to find a cheap way to get it delivered to Maryland.

My family and I had my brother’s wedding rehearsal dinner here at Barnard Griffin last weekend. It took a little while to work out the details, but Lori and staff were accommodating and professional. We rented out the tasting/event room, and it was beautifully decorated. The event was amazing. The staff members were welcoming and food was exactly what we wanted. Everything was fresh and delicious. They have a great selection of food, wine, and beer. I didn’t get a chance to visit the outdoor patio or the gazebo, but there was live music that night, and everything looked great. I highly recommend Barnard Griffin for any event(or wine tasting, or just a hang-out place). Just as an FYI, Barnard Griffin is between two other wineries and parking can be limited nearby at times. There is a larger gravel lot on the left hand side, right as you turn on to Tulip Lane.

Tasting here was fun. Very informative and interactive staff. They know their wine and are very interested in making the tasting experience knowledgeable and fun. Didn’t get to eat here because of time, but would like to try their food the next time. Some of the wines were real good. The Roussanne was nice.

Didn’t knock my socks off, but it was nice. The rosé was good — I would go back for a bottle of that. Dining area is small but there were plenty of empty tables when we went around 2PM on a Sunday afternoon. Service was adequate(the server was nice, but not really memorable, and I overheard her tell someone else that she couldn’t remember the order of wines in the flight she set down. Um, I think that’s sort of important, isn’t it?). There’s a patio, and some people were outside, but triple digits is way too hot for me — I’ll take climate control indoors, thanks. We had happy hour bites(brie with apricot preserves, almonds and balsamic reduction) and the wild gorgonzola flatbread. Everything was tasty but nothing really stood out. I think it’s nice for casual lunches; it’s relaxed and didn’t feel rushed. But we have many more wineries and wine bars to check out, and nothing about our lunch screamed for an immediate return trip.

Our visit was spent entirely in the tasting room but we had a glorious time tasting wines and chatting with the staff. They were so friendly and lovely to talk to. Even as they got busy they remained helpful and attentive. Also, their wines are delicious! We had a non-wine drinker trying a couple as well as some seasoned wine tasters finding favorites. Its a small cozy atmosphere in here which makes it even more lovely to stay and enjoy. They also have trivia nights on Tuesdays in their café which I found wonderful considering there isn’t anything else to do on a Tuesday night in Richland. I was defintely impressed by both their red and whites. Trying their rose and merlot is a must. I found the tasting prices reasonable as well. Great job, Barnard Griffin! I will look out for your products in Seattle grocers.

Love the wines and the food is good– We were told last week that the menu is changing to add actual entrees which is a welcome addition. Our waiter was very nice, knowledgeable. my only complaint is that the band was too loud. In a small place like that I wouldn’t think one needs speakers… It’s a lot more laid back than either of it’s neighbors, which i like a lot– fun place to run too after a long day, just to chill. If they can manage a good outdoor space, i think it will be a hit!

Nice casual atmosphere… Liz was super kind! The white wine selection was very crisp specifically the Reisling. But, everyone’s palate is different… Barnard griffin is def a scale up!

The orange muscat and eggplant Parmesan flatbread are delicious! There is also a chardonnay from the Columbia Valley that they offer. There are pear, vanilla, and candied ginger notes.

This winery is tucked in between two wanna-be powerhouse wineries that are always packed with cars and pretensions. After becoming frustrated with the usual winery scene, I drove into the Barnard Griffin driveway and found a surprisingly serene atmosphere and ample parking. If I am looking for a place to relax on a weeknight – this is my spot. They have a little bit of everything on the menu depending on the night. Most nights it’s the usual menu of a meat and cheese board, soup, salads, hummus, flatbreads, or paninis. On Thursdays, they have a Build Your Own Burger bar(beef, turkey or portobello) with different toppings. As for the wine – it is a solid choice. For those who may not like wine, they have beer and non-alcoholic choices. And for the dessert lover – try the s’more panini! It even comes with its own roasted marshmallow.

We had lunch yesterday in their bistro connected to the tasting room. The food was excellent, and the service was very nice. The atmosphere is nice with a lot of custom glass created by the owners. From the street, you don’t get a good sense of the place… basically seeing the back of the wine making operation. Enter the driveway and go around to the front for a nice surprise. We haven’t been there before, but will certainly return.
