The décor and merchandise are tasteful and compliment the environment of a wine tasting. Children can busy themselves with flying kits and bocce ball while the adults taste wine.

My cousin and I went to goose Ridge Vineyards and Winery last week to sum up our three state Winetasting tour. We were not disappointed! Krristine and Alyson took exceptionally good care of us. Krristine, a certified sommelier, really enlightened us concerning Washington wines in general, the history of Goose Ridge, and the way they make their wines. I did learn that Goose Ridge is the largest, family-owned estate winery and their wines really show the love. I like full-bodied reds and Oaky somewhat buttery Chardonnays… I especially liked their 2013 Limited production Chardonnay, the 2010 Vireo, 2011 Merlot and the 2011 Sol Duc. I’m an Oak fan so I was very impressed when I learned that many of their premier wines stay in the barrel for several years. I would also like to note that the gift shop was filled with awesome Treasures for the home and wine enthusiast alike. Also it was nice to be able to enjoy my tasting next to the fireplace instead of having to always stand at the bar. I highly recommend this winery! And don’t let the three dollar signs on Unilocal scare you. Tasting fees are reasonable and so is the wine :-)

The service here is spectacular and so is the wine. All the wine is easy to drink! Stop for some bocce too, so much fun. Love this place, just wish it wasn’t such a drive!

Went there on a Tuesday afternoon and it was very quiet, as expected. There was a person to greet us though. Wines were solid across the board and what you’d expect for good eastern Washington wines. The person serving could have been a bit more knowledgeable about the wines. She read the wine makers notes from the back of the bottle when she should have know the characteristics. She did offer us chocolate to go with the Malbec, although I didn’t think it actually helped the wine. But I think Washington malbecs are over priced in general. Overall a nice afternoon in the vineyard but nothing incredible to write about.

Great wine, great food and great customer service! My friends and I checked this place out, did a wine tasting, got some truffle popcorn, potatoes with blue cheese and prosciutto and bread and cheese. The popcorn, bread and cheese were all pretty solid but the potatoes blew my mind! I would be willing to watch Star Wars Episode 1, suffer through Jar Jar and that horrible kid as Anakin just to have another bite of those potatoes! Seriously, for as incredibly horrible as Episode 1 was, these potatoes are twice as incredible but in the delicious direction! Not to mention the woman behind the counter was fantastic at figuring out what kind of wines we’d like and super funny! Also the atmosphere really reminds me of a ski lodge and is incredibly inviting with the big comfortable leather chairs next to a fire place with a nice view. I’m super pumped to go back and never watch Episode 1 again!

Welcome to the best Tri-Cities wine tasting experience! This has the perfect mix of elegance and rustic appeal for the Tri-Citian wine drinker and at a great price. The tasting room is located in the middle of the vineyards and is only a quick drive out of West Richland. Outside, they have a ton of bocci ball courts and you can ask for a kite to fly making it somewhat kid friendly. The grounds are well taken care of and the location of the tasting room is perfect to capture the grounds with the rolling hills in the background. Inside, the place appears swanky but the staff, on two separate visits, were warm and inviting. While they were just employees, they referred to the wines as their wines which showed me their invested interest in their product. Since they know their purpose is to sell you wine, they will let you try pretty much whatever you want and are quick to discount the tasters for getting a bottle. But saving the best for last, some great crafted wines are here. I bought the cab because it was perfect to my taste. My girlfriend considers herself somewhat of a wine snob(she just drinks a lot of reds). Her favorite is Malbec and our server ran out to the vineyard and picked some vine ripened Malbec grapes for us to snack on. The spread of reds and whites is great(6 whites and 8 reds for our visit). I don’t live in town anymore, but I will return to Gooseridge the next time in town. Without a doubt one of the best wine experiences I’ve had. For the non wine drinkers, they also carry cans of a pretty great lager only brewing company from Eastern Washington.

This was the first winery I visited when I moved to the tri-cities! It set the bar pretty high for some of the other wineries in the area. I was surprised at how many acres of vines they have! they have a lot of wines on their tasting menu and they also have a reserve tasting menu. I really like some of their red blends(the Vireo comes to mind) and for what they make I think most of their wines are at a good price point. I came back here during spring barrel 2013 and had a good experience, they were pouring most wines I already had, but we did get to try some barrel samples. I then came back a third time and ended up joining their wine club. We went home with some delicious wine club only wines and I can’t wait to see what we get form them in the future!

Great place! Our absolute favorite in the Tri-Cities area. One of the few nice locations that doesn’t charge for tastings. Their Malbec Reserve is amazing.

I love this place. People are great, especially Allison and Jen. My favorite ‘everyday celebration’ on the white side is their Chardonnay and on the red side the Vireo(merlot/syrah/cab blend) is delicious. All of their reserves are excellent. The merchandise was a little tacky considering the sophisticated facility.(Aprons? Kites? Bling rings?) But the wine and people made it an awesome experience. I joined their wine club and will be back.

Good wine, nice staff. This winery is a wonderful place to go for a relaxing Sunday afternoon, sit back with a glass on the patio and enjoy the sun(wind to be expected, its the Tri-city’s)

Beautiful grounds and the staff was wonderful! The wine was decent. I liked their meritage. But the real story here is the atmosphere.

A stunning outdoor atmosphere, but no wines in particular to write home about. They offered only 5 wines to taste, while most offer more than that. Staff was not particularly friendly or chatty either, but we did show up at a busy time when an entire tour bus was there.
