I love the fry sauce. Fry sauce on everything. The burgers are definitely worth it. I don’t go often, but it’s well worth it. It feels like a nice classic burger experience.

My favorite local fast food joint! I always order the All American deal which is a cheeseburger, fries, and a shake and it never disappoints. It may not be gourmet but it’s old school delicious and that’s why I love it. It’s a popular spot for the high school crowd so if you want to avoid busy hour don’t go during high school lunch time(which is 1030 to 12 I believe… but it’s been awhile since high school. So that time could be off.). The staff is always pleasant and friendly. The fry sauce is the best I’ve had. And the bubblegum shakes(or ice cream cone) is the . They even have a rewards program now! Only drawback is it’s not as fast as going through a McDonalds drive thru but hey, what else can you expect from delicious? Bombers has never been anything short of a treat!

I was really sad when I ate the last bite of my juicy double bacon cheeseburger. Who doesn’t love a good burger. I hate lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles on burgers. I sucked all that down with some super crunchy onion rings and a marshmallow cola. You forgot our tater tots, but that won’t stop us from coming back.

I have to say that I love ice cream and it would be hard to screw up ice cream. They take ice cream to the next level by having a variety of flavors and options. This visit I had a dipped cone. yummmm, but eat fast in the heat.

Best REAL banana shake in town. And one of the best Bacon Burgers too! Great service and they even have a rewards program! Another plus, they open EARLY!

This place oozes history. It’s nothing fancy, you’re not going to find goat cheese crumbles and kale on the menu, and that’s what’s so great! It’s like stepping back in time to have a classic American experience at the drive thru burger joint. The only thing missing was the ’57 Chevy. It was a decent burger. And they had fry sauce! And all of it for a great price. Thanks, bombers!

Great for ice cream or a milk shake! We have eaten a meal here a couple of times and we weren’t overly impressed with it. However when your craving ice cream or a milk shake there isn’t a better place! I can’t tell you how milk shakes we’ve bought over the past year. They have a great selection of flavors and will let you put as many flavors as you wish in. I love that the chocolate chip is the hardened chocolate! Highly recommended for your dessert craving!

I was born in the Kadlec Army Hospital in 1951. My earliest recollection of this fine establishment was standing up in the back seat of my folks Poniac woodie and having waitresses skate to my folks’ car with food. And of course, my father would roll down the window for a tray of great burgers, fries, and shakes to be attached to the top edge. The present owners, who call the original building the Bombers Drive Through, have kept the tradition of quality burgers(etc.) balanced by a competitive price. Their burgers are tailored per the original Tastee Freez menu with some new twists that are still mouth-watering treats. If I ask for a bit of variation on the order, I always get it. Nice young adults serving me every time. Tots rock, tarter sauce best in the west, meat patties beat Zips, and other fast food joints, and for real, grill-prepared patties, not an objectionable wait time. Anyone remember going swimming at the George Pratt Memorial pool, then swinging by Tastee Freez for a shake or chocolate dip-top ice cream cone? Oh ya, the present establishment carries the torch without exception. I would recommend this place to kids, families, and those who«ride to eat and eat to ride». Don’t hesitate to give the place a try; I really would be surprised if you were not hooked into becoming a repeat customer. Enjoy, Kurt Lewis.

Well after last night’s frozen burger fiasco I was ready to just get a Cup o Noodles from the hotel pantry. But I needed to go to the store, so figured if I was out I might as well try something local. Zip’s is right by the store, but after reading the reviews here I decided to try something else. Bomber’s was close, with good reviews, so I stopped by. I got a bacon cheeseburger(single) with tots — I love how tots are a normal thing up here(fries and rings can get old). Took my order back to the hotel and chowed down. Solid burger! Just the right proportion of fixin’s to meat and bun, with the meat perfectly cooked all the way through and the bun nice and airy. The tots were perfect — nice and crispy on the outside with no oily taste at all and soft on the inside. I liked that they had regular ketchup in packets(fry sauce is not native to my home state, so kinda hit and miss if I’ll like it). Very friendly service at the drive thru. Took a few minutes to get my order, but I’ll trade that any day for pulling up and having it thrown out the window at me since it’s been under the heat lamp for the past 20 minutes. All in all a nice quaint local place, apparently with a lot of history. On the return list, with a milkshake next time.

Decent enough food, service is sketchy, cleanliness is a real problem. If you’re looking for classic Americana burger fixings, this is a pretty good joint. Greasy, saucy, meaty flavor bombs. Having tater tots as a side option is a nice nostalgic touch. Probably most known for a huge selection of ice cream and milkshakes and in this category they really do shine. Outstanding milkshakes! After ordering from here several times, I have noticed consistently poor service. Tried to supplement chicken in a signature burger, was told no. No reason, no explanation, just no. But they have grilled chicken on the menu! Ordered 4 different burgers for my employees, all put in the same bag, same wrapper, nothing to distinguish them apart. The staff is generally curt and not very outgoing or helpful. Time is definitely taking a toll on this place. Getting old, run down, dated, and it’s obvious they aren’t real concerned about keeping it spic and span. The food is worth the negative points when I’m needing a decent burger. But much more negative and it won’t be anymore. Would love to see friendlier staff and some good old fashioned elbow grease.

This place is going downhill fast. The food quality has severely dwindled the past year. Wife and I just had a quick dinner date before going camping. I asked for a double bacon cheeseburger. She asked for a single bacon cheeseburger and a strawberry milkshake. My wife got all the fixings on her burger… I got 3 pickles, burnt bacon, tons of ketchup and a lifetimes worth of mustard. I don’t understand why her single patty burger gets the fixings but mine doesn’t. If I were to flip burgers in the back I would turn it into a game to make a perfect burger each time and make it exciting and taste as good as it looks. Well mine tasted about how it looked… See my picture… The patties were flavorless. Oh and her shake tasted like flavored milk. My wife also asked for a strawberry milkshake but was given a chocolate. No big deal. But after asking the high school Staff to make it right she huffed and puffed… You used to be a great place for food and service! What happened!!!

I am rating Bombers 5 stars for being as good as any drive-thru fast food place gets! I was craving a burger and entrusted Unilocal to help me find thee burger joint to try out. Ordering was simple and my food came out fast! I am a huge fan of thick and hearty fries, which is exactly what you will get in that department from bombers. Not too salted, but not unsalted. And my burger, who can forget the burger! I usually dread the aftermath of getting burgers from fast food joints, but I was pleasantly surprised that upon finishing my bacon cheeseburger and fries I did not feel disgusting or with an upset stomach! Thank you Bombers for becoming my new go-to fast food burger joint!

Stopped by for complaints as far as food wise but there was only 2 ladies working the lunch crowd, 1 on the grill and 1 running the drive thru and the walk up window… so had to wait for her to take my order… grrr. but worth the wait. I’ll definitly go back :)

I like this place, though part of its charm is nostalgia from my high school years and lunchtimes spent walking down to the Tastee-Freez. Actually, I’m not really sure WHY this is no longer a Tastee-Freez after being one for like 60 years? New owners, probably. Anywho. Everything is now Bomber themed. And I don’t mean the old-school«Nuke ‘Em! Proud of the Cloud!» politically-incorrect Bombers from when I was in high school in the 90s. We’re going with the more socially palatable«Day’s Pay» airplane Bombers story that’s prevalent in Richland these days. Which is… whatever(insert mini rant on the revisionist history that has been perpetuated in this town for the last 20 years). So you get specialty burgers called the B-52 Dominator and the B-17 Flying Fortress. There’s also a Meltdown(subtitled Mushroom Burger, which I initially thought was a throw-back to our«proud of the mushroom cloud» days, until I realized it was an ACTUAL mushroom burger with mushrooms on it). The burgers here are good. Really good. They also do a decent gyro. You can get pretty much everything in a combo meal. And the fries are great. Everything is always HOT. And they have fry sauce, which a lot of places don’t do. The fry sauce is more on the ketchupy side, whereas I prefer mine to be more on the mayonnaisy side, but they get an A for effort. They also can do pretty much any flavor of milkshake you can think of… which is cuz they used to be a Tastee-Freez.

Awww yeah, small town burger and shake joint. The burgers are great, the bombers are the way to go, I don’t recall which I got, though. The tots are nice and crispy, the fries are nicely cooked, and the shakes are excellent. I’m partial to the pistachio I tried first, the amaretto and cheesecake flavors were much more on the subtle side of the flavor spectrum. They’re cheap, too, which is a bonus. Be careful of the seagulls though. CAWCAWCAWCAWCAWCAWCAW!

Came back tonight for dinner and was very impressed. I tried a B-52 burger and it was much larger than anticipated. My husband had the B-29 bomber and it was very large also… I think the only difference between the two burgers is that one had bacon. They were very good, dense, juicy, and filling. Everything in the burger was pretty much perfect. It’s a change from the puny standard hamburger… definitely go for one of the«Bomber» burgers. They’re a little pricey, but you get what you pay for! Had a medium vanilla cone and it was pretty big also. They advertise that they offer 40 flavors of soft serve, but only chocolate, vanilla, and swirl were listed as options for cones on the menu. It may seem obvious the others are available for cones, but who knows? Either way, it was very good quality ice cream and was presented beautifully. Husband had a peanut butter milkshake(of course) and it was just as good as it was last time. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. It sure beats any fast food chain.

My girlfriend is from Richland and went to Richland High and always talks about this place called Tasty-Freeze and their crunch cones. So I finally got to go, only to learn that the name was changed to Bombers. Finally had the opportunity to try a crunch cone for my own as well as a lovely bacon cheeseburger. Yummmm! Next time I’m there, I’m gonna suggest they make me a milkshake with the crunch cone mixture… My girlfriend mentioned that their crunch cones used to be rolled in that crunchy goodness and now was only sprinkled on. Maybe they should go back to the old way of coating the ice cream cones.

This is a small burger joint just down the hill from the Richland High School(Go Bombers! Hence the name I suppose). They have some of your basic«burger fare», a decent list of milkshake flavors, etc. On a recent trip I went for a bacon burger combo and it was tasty. In the mornings they serve espresso drinks and tout having a «warm breakfast». During the summer this is a good place to go hang out and have a bite outside. One drawback to this place is that I seem to remember seeing this place closed pretty early in the evenings.
