Hampton Inn Richland

From start to finish, the experience at the Hampton was first-​class. Once we arrived, we were upgraded to the best room they had available! Everything was so comfortable from the couches to the bed. Great view of the Columbia River from our window. Fitness room has adequate machines/​weights. Yummy, big breakfast in the morning. wanted to enjoy the room so much that we ordered takeout at local Applebee’s to bring it back!

Melody (the sales Manager) always takes amazing care of our family when they come into town once a year for our family reunion. Beautiful, comfortable, clean, affordable rooms with a killer view of the Columbia River. The hotel also has a great outdoor seating area to enjoy the view as well! You can also hop right on the walking trail for a stroll along the river.

My husband and I had a very nice stay here in September of 2014. We stayed two nights — Friday and Saturday, along with my mom, who had a separate room.
On check-​in, the hotel put us (my husband and I, and my mom) in adjoining rooms, which was great. Check-​in was smooth and hotel staff were very friendly. We were missing a couple of items, and they were able to help us out with that. The hotel also has a small gift shop, where we were able to purchase some other items we needed (WINE!).
The rooms were comfortable, clean, and each had a small patio with a river-​view — very beautiful and relaxing in the evening. It was a hot weekend, so the air-​conditioners in the room (which cooled the rooms down perfectly) were much appreciated. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms were clean, and the housekeepers did a great job also.
My husband took advantage of the pool area, which was also very well-​kept and clean. He enjoyed both the hot tub and the pool, neither of which was crowded at all. We had breakfast both mornings, which was a small buffet-​style area with cereal, make-​it-​yourself waffles, bacon, etc. I’m a big fan of breakfast, and this was pretty good overall.
The hotel is very close (think a five-​or-​less-​minute drive) to various restaurants and other amenities, such as a Fred Meyer store and a couple of strip malls with nail salons, etc. (mom and I had a pedicure next door to the Fred Meyer). There is also a gorgeous-​looking golf course just a few blocks drive from the hotel.
I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Tri-​Cities area.

One of the nicest Hampton Inn’s I’ve ever stayed in. On my trips to the Tri-​Cities area in Washington state I will, from now on, stay at this hotel. The entrance is amazing. They have the most adorable gift shop. They are very close to one of the best cupcake places I’ve ever been to. And the rooms are large and spacious and the hotel just has a terrific layout

I know it’s crazy to say Hampton Inn was one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to, but truly – it was.
The amenities may not be what you’d expect in a higher star hotel, but the outdoor scenery makes up for it. I was car-​less while I was here, but found that this hotel was still pretty darn close to some nearby stuff. There’s a riverwalk that you can walk up and down. It’s absolutely beautiful at sunset. They also have a patio, which we enjoyed sitting outside and drinking on every night.
Highlights:
*Free breakfast every morning. I’m normally a free breakfast hater because it seems like there’s never enough food I want, but this hotel was different. There were homemade waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice, and fresh fruit.
*In-​hotel store. They had a limited selection of wine and beer, as well as medicine, swimsuits, etc. I was able to get a mini bottle of champagne for about $ 4 and a mini bottle of Barefoot Moscato for $ 2.
*Pool. Since I was here on business, I didn’t find enough free time to check it out.
*Clean rooms
*Quiet. It seemed like mostly business travelers while we were here and everyone kept to themselves
*Free airport shuttle. When you arrive, call the airport # and they’ll send a van to pick you up. On the way back to the airport, just talk to the front desk to schedule a time.
*Friendly staff
*Fridge and microwave in room
*iHomes in room to listen to your iPhone/​iPod
My 5 days away from home weren’t too bad thanks to my wonderful stay at HI Richland.

I stayed here 9 years ago and had a wonderful stay, in fact I was really looking forward to staying again. I was in Richland for my nephews wedding. The place is spotless, and the service impecable. has GREAT coffee all day, a nice breakfast with a great seating area, a indoor pool, and in a beautiful setting on the Columbia. Beds are super comfy and clean. BUT… The doors slam so lowd it sound like gunshots. There was a young soccer team staying as well and I was next to a bunch of teenage boys who slammed the door REPEATEDLY, ALL EEVENING LONG. The next morning i said some thing to the front desk and when I came in later there was some candy, a starbucks gift card, and a handwritten note from management apologizing for my «NOISY NEIGHBORS» and that they had addressed it to the coach. so I thought, «how lovely, Well it went on and that night as well, so I stepped outside and asked the BOYS to stop letting the doors slam. Still went on till 2am. The next night I was on my way out to the wedding, and Iran into the boys on the way out. I said,“I am sorry I was not very nice last night, but I’m on Eastern time and have not slept in 3 nights» thinking they MIGHT get it. Nope slam slam slam till 2 am. I will NEVER stay here again. There MUST be a better latching system that doesnt make such a hard slam. You really cant close them quietly. Plus add a bunch of inconsiderate teenager!!! Im sorry I really wish I had beena ble to enjoy ti. It has taken me a week to feel normal again.

Nice rooms but the internet speed is dreadful. 2mbps up and down is just unreasonable to use for anything other then basic surfing (if that). The wireless signal is very iffy and completely depends where you are in the room. If you are close to the hallway in your room maybe 2 bars on the wireless signal but if you move to the beds or the balcony the signal becomes unusable because of the frequent disconnections. I expect a hotel chain like the Hamptons to have the basics like good reliable internet/​WiFi. But other then the WiFi issues very pretty views and a nice clean room with a great balcony was just perfect.

Easy to get to but from Hwy you have to look for it as there’s no sign on George WA Way and it’s tucked back on the river. No restaurant inside but Sunday complimentary buffet is offered. Comfortable room. THANK YOU for the bathroom layout where the door isn’t at my shoulder and in my face! TV channels are a bit slow to change. Would I recommend? Yes.

Absolutely love this place. The views in the Riverview rooms are awesome! Path right outside the hotel that is part of the 23 mile loop around the river! The room is super clean and updated. The staff was very friendly and the pool is 24hrs! Breakfast is exactly what I expected for a hotel breakfast… waffle maker is great for kids.

It is on par with what I expect each Hampton Inn to be as far as rooms, breakfast, amenities, and so on.
The staff at the front desk was top notch. Ashley and Shannon were especially helpful and fun to talk with. I always got a warm greeting when I was coming in or going out the door.
Do yourself a favor and take a stroll on the footpath along the Columbia River.

Not a bad hotel at all. I stayed here for 2 nights for work. The room were clean and the bed were comfortable. They provide free breakfast every morning from 530am.
I think the best part is that they have a beautiful river right behind the hotel. The river is really the real wow factor. So peaceful and clean. Bring a running pant, skip the gym at the hotel and just go for the run by the lake.

Balconies have stunning river views, but for extra charge should be clean. I was uncomfortable with accumulation of dirt, spiderwebs & bird debris on balconies.

Nice hotel for the area. Clean, quiet and good location. The kids loved the pool. You can get a room overlooking the river. There is a walking path right outside and Roasters coffee within walking distance. The breakfast was good also. This hotel doesn’t have a restaurant which is a bummer but there are plenty of restaurants close by. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I thought this was a nice Hampton property. The morning desk manager was nice enough to find a room for me to check into early as I had arrived around noon before some meetings I had. My room was clean, the linens were fresh, and everything was in order. Overall, I had a good stay and would stay here again.

I would stay here again, and have been comfortably accommodated.
However my first night was a bit shocking when I arrived and the front door was locked. Not something that makes you feel welcome when walking in to stay for my first time. It didn’t help when the gal at the front desk proceeded to her opinions (unsolicited) on how I appeared to her.
The rooms are big, beds nice, view amazing, all other staff very pleasant and helpful.

Just got back from a 3 day stay at this hotel. Positives abound: river walk outside off the patio, the patio itself (umbrellas, furniture, clean), rooms are modern and clean, bed is extremely comfortable, the TV is modern hi-​def with lots of station options (HBO, Golf, ESPN, etc.), wireless in the rooms is free and fast enough for my i-​Pad use, pool area is clean with plenty of towels and hot tub was in great working order and always busy, staff is helpful friendly and courteous, grounds are well kept, and the breakfast was a good selection (make your own waffles, some sort of protein like eggs, oatmeal, bagels, hard boiled eggs, juices, coffee is available and freshened all day long, pastries, etc.), cookies were available everyday in the afternoon out by the coffee, etc. While there is no bar in the hotel, across the street is a new pub (The Fox and Bear) for beer and wine, or walk down the Riverwalk to Anthony’s, plus there is a small shop in the lobby by the front desk where you can buy beer and wine, but it is severely marked up — stop in Prosser and stock up instead!
If you want a comfortable hotel in the Tri-​Cities area, check this one out.

Great location, friendly staff, very nice breakfast.

One would think that a hotel next to the beautiful Columbia River would be swanky, expensive and out of the reach of your generic traveler. But that isn’t the case at this Hanford which results in a confusing experience I have yet to understand.
The positives consist of a nice river-​side run or walk at any point in the day, being that there is a jogging trail right outside the facility. Access to «downtown» Richland is easy with aforementioned coffee shop of dreams within walking distance. The price, as you may have gotten from my statement above, was reasonable as long as you aren’t staring at the river from your room. Don’t forget about those HHonors loyalty points.
The rest of the hotel leaves me confused. 70’s to 80’s styling in the hallways and common areas, but nicer rooms. Terrible (standard for any Hampton) breakfast but a wonderful view of the river from the dining area. North Korean style internet in speed and access. People who could care less that you are staying there. And cleanliness that is about average for a North Korean prison camp.
Would I stay here again? Yes. Because it’s probably the nicest place in Richland. A-​OK for eastern Washington, but substandard for anywhere else.

I’ve logged many a night at this Hampton… I’ve been snowbound here on more than one occassion, arrived early, arrived late, and alas, have never had an issue. They’ll even pick you up from the airport which is 15 minutes away for no charge!
The staff is always excellent and willing to help, the rooms are spotless clean, and they recognize you for your HiltonHonors membership, which many Hampton Hotels fail to do. Also, they recently upgraded the breakfast area, and it looks like there is more to come…
The river side rooms offer stunning mornings at sunrise, and the city side rooms are good too.
Recommended. Always call for the best rate… they are more than willing to help you find it!

Stayed here for 2 nights for a business trip and I’m pretty impressed for a 3 star hotel.
Definitely not a 4 or 5 star however, service, cleanliness and staff are amazing.
Beds and duvet covers are changed every night. They even provide you a small bottle water with a snack bar.
I would definitely stay here again for my future business trips.
