Over priced. I can get an excellent craft beer at Kimos during happy hour for $ 2.50. I paid $ 7 plus tax for a draft brew. That’s the most I’ve paid at any of the local brewery’s or tap houses.

We stopped in for a light dinner, while staying at the Hampton less than a block away. Friendly and efficient service, and everyone working there was cheerful. They have a nice local beer and wine selection. We had coconut shrimp and fish tacos… everything was tasty and cooked just right. They had larger entrees like lasagna and steak, which smelled and looked delicious. I think this would be a great place to drop in for a drink or coffee and dessert, too!

The pork burger is absolutely amazing!!! Get the add ons for a little extra, fries with the dill sauce and a starter of zucchini chips. Butter me up and send me to fat camp!!! I love the rotating tap list and that they always keep at least one tasty cider on tap!!! Definitely in my top 5 favorite places in the tri cities

Just okay, kinda bland food. Nothing had much flavor. Service was bland as well. Bummer because based on the other reviews, I was hoping for delicious :)

I was looking for a quick bite to eat and I didn’t want to drive. This place is situated right at the corner very close to my hotel. I got there around 8:30PM and the place closes at 9:30PM. I started out with a beer which was pretty good except not as cold as I like it. For dinner I wanted a salad so I asked if I could have the Caesar salad with salmon. On the menu the Caesar salad has an option of adding chicken or steak but not salmon. They figured it out and found a way to accommodate my order which I really appreciated. The salmon was hot, fresh, and cooked to perfection. I love it when you can get a crust on the outside yet tender and a little pink on the inside and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The salad was simple as Caesar salad’s usually are. It was Romain, croutons, and dressing. One thing that was annoying to me is when you order a Caesar salad and they include the nubs from the romaine salad. To me that is not edible and therefore should not be included as part of the salad. Just throw it away. Lazy. The Caesar dressing was not overly anything. Except maybe garlicky but I enjoyed that. The salad also came with a small sliver of lemon. I wish the lemon was a little bit bigger because I love lemon with both my Caesar salad and my salmon and the slice of lemon was small and didn’t cover everything I wanted covered with the lemon juice. Given the«healthy dinner», I decided to have dessert. They had what they called skinny truffles. The skinny truffles are basically a coconut macaroon that has been covered in chocolate. It was OK. I felt the chocolate was very thick and probably would have been better if it was a little bit less chocolate. Three truffles come in one order. I ate two and left the other. I probably could have eaten one and been fine. The waiter was a very sweet girl. She was friendly and smiled a lot. However it took quite a while to get the salad. I was somewhat surprised given the simplicity of my order. However I was also appreciative that they had served me something that was not on their menu. I sat outside on the deck. The evening was warm and there weren’t many bugs and I was quite comfortable. The value for my dinner was great. I had a delicious salad with salmon, a beer, and dessert for about $ 25. I think this is a pretty good bargain. Being from San Francisco there aren’t many nights when you get to go out for dinner for less than $ 25 so this was quite a bargain.

The best burger I have ever had. Grass fed angus, fresh sources ingredients. Justin is a top chef.

I’ve been here multiple times and mostly satisfied with the experience. But, unfortunately last night wasn’t the same. It maybe the new staff or a day off but who knows. Positives: Food was good as usual, fresh and priced fairly. Negatives: It was a very slow evening, it was me and maybe another party of 3 in the building and yet it took close to 30 mins for a salad and grilled chicken sandwich. I sat at the bar and the girl was somewhat nice who was serving me. The problem is that employees that are off work sit at the bar and chat. Well, my server stood with her back to me and started chatting with her co-worker as she was drinking beers and wine. After 30 minutes another gal joined her(and she is also one of the employees), started talking and drinking. Now, there is nothing wrong with having a drink after work but doing so next to your customers and interrupting my server is unprofessional. I hope the boss takes notice and tells his employees to tone it down and sit farther from customers. Because the customer comes first.

My wife and I, along with another couple, enjoyed a nice dinner last night. We all ordered different entrees. The presentation was beautiful and the food was great. The chef made a point of coming out from the kitchen to check in with the patrons. The service was friendly and appropriately attentive. In addition, the owner was quite visible and interacted with the patrons as well. We enjoyed our meal and time so much, that the 4 of us put our next dinner date at Fox & Bear on the calendar!

Reuben sandwich was really good. Fries were bland and not crispy. The setting is quite unusual. The bar is in a business complex above a gym. I guess it looks like a nice dive bar… tough to describe. I wonder if this place does well in general or if they get most of their clientele from the hotels. If you are looking for a bar with food, I recommend it. Waitresses nice and attentive.

I love this restaurant. The service is great and they have some pretty amazing wines and beers. I recommend a steak. Delicious and best part is you’re supporting local business. This is a must try!

Fox and Bear is a place I come to every time I’m in town(once a week) for work. The staff is always welcoming and the chef is very accommodating to my food allergies. The food is great and the wine is delicious. Definitely my local favorite here.

I stepped into this place a few weeks ago with my boyfriend and I was pleased with the whole experience. The food was fresh and tasty. I ordered the veggie pasta with soup and my boyfriend ordered the pork burger. The pasta was light with plenty of sauteed veggies and the burger was juicy and flavorful. I was most impressed with our host/server. Way to go Tara!(I think I got your name right???) She was fast and friendly. She really made us feel welcome. I would definitely visit again!

Not bad. Not great. Personality? Not so much. Food good? Yeah, but… Beer? Yes though… Fox and Bear wants to be something. But it’s not sure what. If, like it says in it’s name, it is a true Public House, the pricing to value ratio on food should be tamed and the beer expertise upped. If it wants to be an upscale restaurant, then so much has to change, including the interior, the wait staff’s approach, and the complete experience. Arrived on a Thursday night for a business dinner. Waitstaff never smiled… very«blah» in general with everyone there. The beer board does not show ABV or IBU, or much else for that matter, which left me guessing lots of questions about what I was going to drink. Asking the server didn’t help, because along with her seemingly absent personality came an even more absent knowledge of the beer she was serving that evening. In fact, she didn’t know what«nitro» was when I asked her a question regarding whether one was on nitro or not – very interesting. Beer arrives, and the bartender poured it completely wrong – no head at all on this beer that should have had a head – picky? Sure. But I’m at a beer place, and it is sacrilege not to pour correctly. For that matter, I observed them pour carefully, and it was completely incorrect(down the side of the glass vs down the middle). I can accept this at a common sports bar, but not at a finer establishment that purports«Public House»(«Ale House» is how I read that…). Beer tasted good, lines clean. On to the food. Fries were good, but the server advised to «let her know if they weren’t hot enough», which then makes mind mind automatically expect cold fries; they were just fine, and quite tasty, even with expectations on guard. Homemade chips were nothing to write home about. The meatballs were loved by my friends who dined with me that evening. Dinner arrives, and while dishes came out at different times(which the staff was very kind about, and offered a drink as consolation to one of my friends), it was a very nice presentation. Pasta I had was delicious, but not worth $ 15 without a salad. Bread seemed stale that came with it… Overall, the Fox and Bear is good, don’t get me wrong. But it could be so much more with just a dash of identity clarity and some more knowledge of their craft beverages.

Solid, high quality food. The setting’s a little unusual, but I can get past that to support an establishment that prides themselves on serving really good food. If you’re just looking to shovel an enormous burger down ASAP while staring at a TV screen, go elsewhere. If you want to eat delicious grass fed beef topped with thick bacon on a perfectly toasted bun accompanied by handcut fries, and you don’t mind having to actually talk to your dining companion for the 15 minutes it takes to make, this is the place to go. Small, but well curated beer list. Friendly service. The patio is lovely. My only real issue? No gluten free desserts.

Good food, decent beer selection(although I wish they had more). Service is always great and if you can sit on the patio when it’s nice. No elevator but I can look past that. The owners are great people and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Delicious! We went on a Friday evening sometime after 6 pm. Restaurant is small but it wasn’t busy and we were seated immediately. Nice selection of beers, wines, etc. The bar has board games behind it which is fun, and the food was excellent! Everything tasted fresh and was nicely presented. You can tell the vegetables are all fresh and well selected. We had two starter plates to share — the zucchini chips and the flank steak bites. The zucchini chips were the perfect start and came out first. They weren’t soggy at all and the ranch dip that accompanied them was the perfect compliment. The flank steak was cooked perfectly when we got it and served atop a small salad of light, crisp greens. We devoured everything. We also shared the meatloaf entrée which was glazed in a red wine sauce and came atop mashed potatoes and green beans. My boyfriend’s favorite food is meatloaf but he said as a rule he never orders it at restaurant because it’s never very good. I was able to convince him to try it and boy am I glad I did. So was he! We both really appreciated the homemade mash potatoes too — not too chunky, not too creamy and not overly seasoned. We finished with crème brûlée and coffee. Crème brûlée was good but not my favorite. Slightly too thick/custardy and the top was fired a little too long so the sugar crust was a bit difficult to crack. This coming from someone who has probably eaten too many crème brûlées though! But the flavor was good and went well with the coffee. Speaking of which: Individual coffees are huge! They come in an individual carafe for each person which I liked but probably had enough for 3 – 4 cups worth in it. Was a little disappointed that they didn’t bring out raw sugar as an option(I dunno — this place just seemed like a place that would offer that). Five stars for everything though I could see where it might get too loud if it’s full. Staff was professional and prompt, ambience was nice, food was just right. Don’t be off put by the fact it’s in a strip mall like location or you have to walk up a set of stairs to get there ;) Go!

I had a great time here tonight. The hamburger was tasty(though a little undercooked for ME, my boyfriend loved his) and the cider was fantastic. While it certainly wasn’t quiet, the noise level wasn’t so loud that I couldn’t hear what my conversation partner was saying; it made the hum of happy conversation around us add to the experience rather than detract from it. Our waitress was attentive and personable and overall it was a great anniversary. I’m definitely coming back.

The presentation was nicely done. My friend had the braised pork and said it was decent but the mashed potatoes made the dish. It was tasty. She also had the green curry soup that had enough kick and bite to satisfy. I enjoyed the salmon special and was not disappointed. We ordered the steak appetizer well done but it came medium rare. Not the best steak but edible. Other than the ambience is nice and chill. Restaurant is clean and service efficient. :)
