The food was good and waitress attentive. But really the place is mostly empty, and you seat me in a booth in the back next to a baby. The baby was bouncing around at the table and head his head. The wailing and screaming non stop. Then when it finally did the parents started tickling which made him laughing really loud and then start wailing again. I couldn’t finish my meal in peace. Please if you have a young baby in the restaurant seat your patrons away. Unless they have young ins as well. Otherwise I could easily give this place a 4.

Yep, some sassy Unilocaler’s in here expecting Ruth’s Chris or something… Anyways, 2nd time I’ve been here and it’s exactly what I wanted: a standard, inexpensive meal that hits the spot on an early morning. Add some coffee, a warm place to sit, and friendly staff, and you’ve got my 5-star review. I rate a place on what they are trying to be, and this is a classic joint with no frills, just down-home service and good food for the buck. Gotta give it to the working folks that keep this place rolling, I’ll be back next time I’m around.

I like the place. Usually take one of their soups and a turkey burger. Or steak salad. Nothing fancy. Just good food for old timers. Sometimes I take food to go. I noticed that the restaurant has its own clientele. I am surprised thar this establishment is so inadequately rated.

I don’t know what’s up with all these sassy haters in the Tri-Cities. So particular, so blasé. Anyways, Shari’s is the epitome of what suburban middle class Tri-Cities has ever hoped to be and I always have a very expectedly average experience each time I go into the restaurant. I don’t go in frequently, but this is where I Used to hang out in high school with my friends! And since moving away to Seattle and only returning every couple years, I typically suggest this place as a suitable place to go with my family. The food is very uninspired but predicable with good middle class feel. So needless to say, if I’m with a crazy family member in Tri-Cities and I’m not in Seattle, I may eat at this Shari’s. And every couple years when I come here, yes, the same waitress Lynn is still there and still as saucy as ever. Love it. Go! Experience Richland.

This place used to be bomb. I don’t K of what’s happened to it, but in the last year, it’s gotten nasty. It’s dirty, and the staff seems like they’d rather stab themselves in the eye with one of the dirty forks than be at work. They never get my order right. But, they DO always try to give you something free to make up for their mistakes. The bathroom is clean on the ladies side. That’s pretty much the restaurants redeeming quality.

I love Sharis. I love it so much. This place would be a solid 4 stars for me, except for one thing. The manager. I know quite a few people love him — he’s good at his job! Really good. But he hovers. Every time he visits the table I’m sitting at, he interrupts our conversations to share info about Shari’s. He hangs around much longer than he should, and it happens enough that I stopped visiting this Shari’s unless I had a mad craving. So go for the pie, the breakfast food, and the servers. Brace yourself for the unwelcome conversation.

We had to wait to be seated and place was not that busy. Surly, slow, inattentive service. Our server finally came after we asked the manager if we could order. The coffee was fine. Still waiting for our food after waiting more than 30 minutes.

The lunch omelet with pancakes is good and fair priced. Still don’t love the flavor of there coffee. They should switch brands

We had the country fried steak and chicken and dumplings with the sampler. When they said the country fried steak was their top seller, it wasn’t a lie! Absolutely delish! although slightly salty for me, Randy loved it. Jalapeño cheddar mashed potatoes accompanied the steak and it was okay for me. Nothing I would get again.

There’s not many places open late in the Tri-cities, so I always seem to find myself here. The service can be slow and sometimes the food isn’t made with care. The pie is delicious!

This is a chain, and as chains go, you’ve been to one, you’ve been to them all. Today, Shari’s was featuring a Mediterranean Quiche Trio, where you got a quiche with fruit, choice of soup or salad, and a slice of pie, all for the low price of $ 7.99. Sounded like a good deal so I got it. I ordered salad. The salad(which came with greens, couple slices of cucumber, couple slices of red tomato, croutons, and ONLYONE grape tomato) was actually bigger than the slice of quiche you got. That was a shocker. The quiche, which was quite delicious, was only about two or three bites in size. But it did come with a small piece of watermelon and some red grapes. The slice of pie(which was a decent size) was bigger than the quiche. I do recommend this meal although the slice of quiche was quite small. Well, what do you expect for $ 7.99 including a piece of pie?

The service here is so bad it ruins the whole dining experience. Slow service from the moment you walk in and stand there while the staff chats and ignores you to the lateness of the meal, getting the orders wrong, leaving key components off the salad(chef’s fault), never coming back to refill drinks or bring condiments, and not even asking if we want dessert. I have to flag someone down to get my bill. Some of the staff acts downright annoyed to have to serve you. They are irritated if you interrupt their conversations because you have waited 15 minutes for some water. I do like the pancakes and some other things but it is just not worth the aggravation to be treated so rudely and ignored.

You can tell the old gals who work here have been here for a while and don’t care what anyone thinks. They yell to each other from across the restaurant, and one of them actually disputed what a customer ordered because SHE wrote it down wrong. Wow. I just came for a slice of the berry trio pie a la mode and coffee, which was tasty. However, the slice was collapsed when i got it… looked like a big mess. I wouldn’t come here for a full meal though… just not worth the hassle.

They’re open 24hrs. They offer free wifi. They have Free Pie Days. What else can you say? Shari’s is a post dancing/bar venue — hands down. This location is a bit off the beaten path in sleepy north Richland, but it’s actually pretty cozy because of this. All in all, a great alternative to Denny’s at the Uptown.

I don’t care whether it’s a chain or not, a restaurant is a restaurant, and they should be reviewed for what they really are. And this specific restaurant? No. Just, no. The first few times I went there, it wasn’t so bad, i might even say good.(I’m NOT gonna say«for a chain restaurant», either, thank you.) BUT(and this is a BIG but), they have got considerably WORSE over the years. The service was TERRIBLE(I ordered a coffee and pie, and some fries. The fries came about 30 minutes later, and i wouldn’t have got my coffee if I hadn’t asked the manager when she came by.) the food had seen better days(weak coffee, limp fries, etc.) and the waitresses were SO air-headed. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m very understanding when it’s a busy night, or like Prom or something, but honestly, it was 1am(i got the midnight munchies :3) and there were what? TWO tables filled? And yet it took the waitress 2 hours to bring us all our food and my coffee. And she asked if i wanted creamer(YES.) and she never brought it. But when she dropped the check by, we didn’t see her again. My mom was so tired by then, she didn’t even have the energy to complain. Neither did I, but this review should say it all. As a side note, I had a favorite waitress there, and she was an amazing server. But, when some one of the past managers and her didn’t get along, there was trouble. She was being good and fair, but honestly, he(or she, i forgot) would have fired her if she hadn’t walked out saying«I’m done.» I would do the same thing, darn it!

Due to an illness in the family, we’ve pretty much been relegated to places like this. I will say that over the past few years Shari’s has improved immensely over what it used to be when we first moved here. They’ve updated the menu and the quality of the food is much better than what it used to be(superior to IHOPIMO). They’ve also cleaned up the stores, gotten rid of the smoking section and the bad employees. The server we usually get is very nice. So what you’ve got is a fairly decent diner/café. They have good burgers, good sandwiches, good breakfast and good pie. I haven’t tried their dinner, but I assume it’s good as well. Sometimes it’s nice to settle into a nice warm corner off George Wa. Way and have something to eat. It’s better than Denny’s and IHOP, so if you’re in the mood for that kind of food, I don’t see where you could go wrong.

Chain type diner. Serves all three meals with lots of items on the menu. Mostly fried or greasy, though. Food is mediocre at best. They do have fresh pies which is probably their best offering. Prices are low, and the cater to families.

I told my brother how Shari’s was having a weekend special of giving free breakfast/lunch/dinner to kids, so we went with my two neices and that was a big mistake. The food was terrible, the only thing I enjoyed was my water. For example, normally I wouldn’t order a T-bone steak because I’ve had it at Denny’s and its not all that great, but my bro ordered it so I decided sure why not. So I get my steak and the texture was just weird and it was pale and purple looking. It reminded me of a steak you defrost by throwing it into the microwave, and oops the microwave cooked it instead. That was how my steak was to me. Yep gross. But still I didn’t want to waste it, so I tasted it and it has absolutely no flavor. I thought, Hmmm… this is fun. I look over to my bro and he’s just chowing down like nothing and said his tasted alright. So I tasted his and his did have flavor and was a bit more normal looking. My thoughts… how can these two stakes be so opposite. So now were done and waiting on our waitress. Nobody comes, and I realized I haven’t seen our waitress since she took our order. So my bro had to chase down some other waitress to help us. The waitress was young and nice but accidentally brought us the wrong ticket that was worth $ 50. Which was fine, these things happen, so then she brought ours and it was $ 60, and we just thought for two adults and two kids whom eat free except for the soda we have to purchase for them, what the heck??? Well I noticed that they didn’t completely give the kids there free foods, so I told my bro I would fix it, but he said just watch the girls he’d take care of it. When he came back he said they only wiped off $ 5 and he just wanted to get out of there and paid the whole thing. He said the extra charges were something about tipping the cooks. My thoughts… excuse me? Don’t get me wrong, I’m fine with tipping, even if the service is bad I still tip at least $ 1. But not $ 5-$ 10!!! If the food was good then yea take it, I just hope it really does go to the cook. Grrr… So in the end, somehow me and my bro cost about $ 25 each and we’ll say $ 5 each for the neices cuz you have to buy a soda for them to have free food. While all I had was like a $ 14 steak and a $ 5 soup, no drink. My bro had $ 14 steak and a ridiculously expensive $ 2.75 ice tea(he didn’t realize the price otherwise he would of not gotten the ice tea). Then the rest went to tipping and taxing. Grrr again. This place is ridiculously. They are over priced, food is terrible, service not the greatest. Yea, I’m not coming back. Oddly to say, I prefer Denny’s over this place any day. At least the food is edible and they don’t overcharge. Plus I prefer their service as well.

The Richland Shari’s is so much better since the voters passed the no-smoking law in Washington. The quality of service at Shari’s is pretty much a function of who your server is. This past Saturday we had an awesome attentive waitress. Sally, you are the best. Shari’s serves American basics, so nothing to really comment on there(it’s what you would get at Denny’s). The one menu item I do like is their chocolate shakes. Thick with a definite chocolate flavor. They are huge too!
