Baskin Robbins

Baskin Robbins is a good go-​to for ice cream, and their selection of flavors is definitely something to take note of.
Came here twice with my lady friend for ice cream. The parking is much easier now thanks to the newly repainted spaces. The offerings are typical Baskin Robbins fare (all great-​tasting), and the prices are what you’d expect. They used to not accept RetailMeNot coupons, though they were kind enough to resolve that issue and are now accepting them, making BR both delicious AND affordable. To top it off, the staff members are pleasant and quick to help customers when they walk in the door.
While there are many ice cream establishments around town, this place will satisfy your sweet tooth in a pinch. This is one of my favorite dessert spots in Richmond.

I honestly do not know why I don’t come here anymore! They’re ice cream is ON POINT ;) Coming back here after a long time made me realize what I was missing out on. After multiple tastings, I ended up getting the Snickers ice cream and there was no regrets to my choice. You tasted all the Snickers with it’s rich goodness of vanilla ice cream. YOU HAVE TO TASTE IT YOURSELF TO KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!

I go to this Baskin Robins every other week and I love it there. They are always so kind and friendly to me and it makes me want to keep coming back without hesitation!
My mother and I have become regulars here for a little over a year, and time and time again, they never fail to bring a smile to my face and serve me excellent ice cream and other desserts. I go here all the time and I won’t ever stop!

This Baskin Robbins blows chunks… Literally. The ice cream is hard, they are never busy, and the rare times they are busy, they are severely understaffed and unsupervised. Terrible, wacky flavors and poor service. If I could take stars, I would.

Boy, HOW does time fly by… Even though I have spent almost 25 years from Richmond, I have been up and down Broad St. so many times, I do not think I have enough fingers and Toes to count. I have passed this particular Baskin Robbins many many times, so the other day I decided to stop as I LOVE their Ice Cream.
I saw something new and it was the Carmel Turtle Truffle. I just got the ONE scoop, and too my much amazement, I was NOT disappointed. The young man working behind the counter told me how this is one of the favorites, and I can see why.
I am giving this particular Baskin Robbins 5 Stars, because NOT only was the young man behind the country extremely polite, he also took out the time to tell me something about this particular Baskin Robbins. He told me how this Baskin Robbins has been there for 40 years! I was shocked, to say the least as I had NO idea they have been there that long. Basking Robbins now have a third Owner, who has been running it for a very long time.
I feel any Restaurant of any kind who has been in ONE place for 40 years, should earn my praise as well as yours as well… They are doing something right. Of course we all Enjoy Ice Cream and the one thing I like about Baskin Robbins, they are always consistence in making GOOD Ice Cream. Of course, some flavors are better than others and it all depends on what you have a taste for.
So, I will be going back again. NOT too often, as I do need to loose a pound or two, but when I want to treat myself with GOOD Ice Cream, I always find Baskin Robbins the place to go…

Clean shop, friendly owner, good parking, super late hours and a great selection of BR flavors compared to the joint DD/​BR locations. When I’ve gotta get my BR fix, this is my go-​to shop in Richmond.

While not artisanal or local like some of the more popular ice cream/​yogurt places around Richmond Baskin Robbins will forever have a special place in my heart. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve loved one flavor at BR and hardly ever do I deviate from that path. Mint Chocolate Chip. (Sometimes with rainbow sprinkles if I want a touch of nostalgia.) I can still remember 20+ years later my grandfather taking me into town while he ran his errands and we’d stop at BR. One scoop with rainbow sprinkles please and my taste buds would dance!
As for the location, I’ve only sat in to eat my ice cream one time so I’m not able to really comment on the employees working here. To my memory some have been more enthusiastic than others but when I’m picking up a quart to go I’m sorry to say I’m not paying much attention. Their pre-​packed freezer is well stocked 9 out of 10 times. I’ll usually pick up 2 quarts since you get a discount and when I’m on my MCC kick might as well «go big or go home» as they say. I love this ice cream super cold and frozen so I’m guilty of eating out of the container a lot of the time.

I actually stayed in the car when my friend ran inside to pick up two pre-​packaged quarts of ice cream. There were several customers inside to get ice cream, but she didn’t have to wait long to check out with the items she picked out.
Though it’s a rather small location, with small parking, it didn’t seem to affect the flow of customers.
It was clean, and really all you could ask for of an ice cream shop!

I don’t know about the previous review, but I thought this place was awesome. Nobody does a Cherry Jubilee like BR, with its gigantic chunks of black cherries, mm mmm mmmm. The little old Asian couple who run (own?) the store are super cute and super friendly. I got one scoop in a cup to go, and they even put a little lid on it so I wouldn’t have accidents all over my shirt like a 5 year old. Two thumbs up!

DO NOT come to this crap location, especially if you come across the rude bitchy size 3-​women-​in-​1 workers. They are soooo cheap about their scoops it is bloody disgusting. They were mad when I complained about my half scoop, and the only reason that makes sense is because they are saving all the ice cream to eat themselves once the customers leave. I saw this yucky bitch woman YELL at a poor high school new trainee just because he accidentally pushed a wrong button (which he cancelled right afterwards so no «damage» was done at all)! What the hell is wrong with this woman she feels she can authority trip over this young boy right in front of customers?! Obviously because they don’t care about their employees OR their customers! To top it off, the ice cream had chunks of frozen ice bits inside. YUCK, can we say I just paid full price for half scoop of old ice cream which should have been thrown the garbage instead of waiting to be served to customers?! Apparently this grossness also had major health violations including thawing syrup in the mop drain. EWW, why is this place not closed down already??? This unprofessional excuse on BROAD STREET does not appreciate our hard earned money!
