Berg’s Bicycles

My trip to Richmond over the weekend had a point: to return a rebuilt road bike that was a tad too small for the long road rides I like to do.
Tim, the owner of Berg’s, is awesome. He was cool as ice over the phone when I arranged for my sister to pick it up, and even cooler when I called to tell him the fit wasn’t right. He took the bike back, no problem.
I bought a beautiful Raleigh Record for a great price, and Tim put a lot of TLC into that bike from the ‘80s. It looked shiny and new and rode perfectly.
I will always buy from Tim! He rocks. He spends a lot of time fixing up old bikes and turning them into affordable rides for VCU students and lots of other people. You can tell Tim loves bikes just as much, if not more, than he loves money. He’d rather see someone on the perfect bike than take the money and make a sale.
