This is my second time at Glow (Northside) and I absolutely love it here thus far. The staff has been consistently friendly and prompt, from the phone to arrival to the actual services provided. The prices are pretty good too! Be warned they stay booked so depending on the service you are wanting plan to book out 3 to 4 weeks in advance.

Had Cody at the lakeside location & she made me very comfortable… intend to return soon

If you need a break from reality do yourself a favor and go to Glow Med Spa Northside location. I received my first professional facial from Angela and OH MY… HEAVEN… I got the deep pore glow facial which is recommended for first timers like myself. Angela tailored the facial to my skin and educated me on what I could do to improve it. I am already blessed with good skin to begin with, but I left glow med looking like I just stepped out of a clean and clear commercial. I got a mask, extraction, massage and a number of other products which resulted in my face looking *flawless*. Thanks Angela and even the super sweet receptionists at glow med spa. I can’t say enough nice words! Thank you so much.

Now that I am a former employee I can finally write a review! I can first hand tell you that every Massage therapist and Esthetician are truly passionate at Glow Med. The owner Shia is very particular to whom she hires and she has created a talented team who cares about their clients and overall experience. If you want to be pampered, have a relaxing experience, relieve some stress, and see results in your skin … Go to the best. They didn’t win best day spa for ⁴⁄₅ years she’s been open for no reason!

Cory was amazing! I received a full body massage and it was relaxing and perfect! He knew exactly what pressure was needed and which areas to concentrate on! Cory is very sweet! I will definitely be going back to him every time!

I had a wonderful experience here both times I visited, and this will definitely become my go-​to regular place for a brazilian. In fact, this place changed my perspective on waxing in general, from an experience I dreaded to one I don’t mind. Here’s why:
1) The estheticians are great at what they do. The experience is fast, professional, clean, and as pain-​free as I’ve ever experienced. I never knew using hard-​wax (no strips) made such a difference until I came here and had someone use it right! And they are enjoyable to talk to, making it all go by faster. I have seen both Angela and Sharon, and highly recommend both.
2) They don’t learn on the job – you are not a guinea pig, they are well-​trained and experienced! I’ve been to other spas where the estheticians are clearly not skilled in waxing (aka, they were probably hired for other skills) and it was not a pleasant experience. You won’t find that here.
3) The spa itself is a beautiful space. They even offer you wine when you come in!
Any esthetician is a good choice. Make sure to call a few weeks in advance so you can get in.

After reading all of the great reviews about this med spa, I decided to give it a try myself. I scheduled a facial (which was reasonably priced), and the customer service was excellent when scheduling.
I arrived to Glow Med Spa for the first time and greeted with the warm, and soothing atmosphere, lemon water, and TOP NOTCH customer service.
My facial was with Cody, and she was amazing!!! She was very knowledgeable in her products and about skincare. Cody took her time, and I truly felt like I was getting a customized service. I highly recommend Cody and Glow Med Spa and I’m looking forward to going back for more services, especially my next facial. (I’ve already booked a massage).
I have fallen in love with Glow already and not only is the service excellent, but the pricing is very affordable!

Hands down my favorite spa ever. As a Richmond local and frequent traveler I haven’t encountered a better place. The staff is always exceptional and the services are consistently immaculate. I have recommended Glow Med to loved ones and friends and everyone is so pleased. If you’re looking for a wax, massage, or facial, Glow Med is the place to go.

I love love love this place! Chelsea does an amazing job! I’m pretty much a wimp when it comes to waxing but I don’t even realize that I’m getting waxed with Chelsea. We’ll talk like old time friends just catching up on life and it just takes my mind away from the pain. She’s very patient and if I have a thousand questions (which I do often) she’ll answer every last one of them without a problem.

Relaxation At It’s Best is certainly the best way to describe Glow Med Spa Northside. I have been to Lisa Marie and Angela for my Facials and highly recommend both of these ladies. They spend lots of time analyzing your personal skin needs and making excellent recommendations as to how I can help my skin look younger. You can tell they genuinely care about helping you feel and look better. You need to look no further than Glow Med Spa for the best facials in town!!!

It’s been over two years since I last reviewed Glow Med Spa’s Northside location so I figured I’m due for a checkin.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise I’m still a regular client who loves Glow Med Spa! I’ve tried several estheticians (Shia, Angela, Lisa Marie and Sharon) at the Northside location and each time, no matter who I’ve seen, I leave looking and feeling great!
Just today, I had Brazilian appointment with Angela and she was fantastic. Angela and I had great conversation and before I knew it the wax was done and I was in and out!
Two years from now I’ll be posting my third review and I know it will read just as mine and everyone else’s read– Glow Med Spa is hands the best in Richmond (just check their awards they receive year after year!).

I decided to drop some dough and get a facial. No matter what I was doing at home, I couldn’t get my pores unclogged (i know TMI). Anyway, I called Glow on a whim and got in the day after.
When I walked in, I felt like I was walking into a dim forest. It is so beautiful inside! There are these tree sculptures against the walls everywhere! It’s really neat. And of course it smells amazing, so you are instantly relaxed.
I never get facials because I feel like they kinda achieve what chiropractors do — feel good at the time but don’t really fix anything. But I was WRONG. Olga is first of all a beautiful goddess, and second, a magician! She made my pores go from gaping to almost gone. I could not stop looking at my skin. It was hydrated, glowing, and smooth.
And the facial was only $ 70 — I got a scalp, hand, and neck massage, took a little nap, and got great skin — not a bad deal. I will definitely return.

I love this place. I go here to get the dreaded Brazilian. This is my first year in my life I have gotten them so I wanted to start out getting them done professionally and they are so nice here. They serve me wine when I get nervous, and Olga, is just the best technician around. She is fast and pays attention to detail. If I had to have anyone making casual conversation while ripping hair from my lady bits full on spread eagle, it could only be her.

Relied heavily on my fellow Unilocal reviewers when trying to decide on where to go for my first Brazilian. Took the plunge and was able to get an appointment the next day.
North side location was easy to find and parking was available right out front. The inside was awesome with soft lighting and candles burning. Super relaxing to prepare me for what was ahead.
I arrived 20 min early for my appt with Chelsea but she called me back right away and got to work. She gave me some instructions (put on a paper thong and get comfy) and gave me a few moments.
Chelsea was super talkative and chatted with me the entire time. I think this was a deterrent from the pain. The pain is real but nothing more than expected. She did start on outside and worked her way in, in case at any point I wanted to stop. Why go that far not to finish right? She completed the front with a hard wax and then went over a few spots with a soft wax. At that point, everything was numb. Chelsea had me flip over and she a finished everything up. The entire visit took maybe ten minutes.
I was pleased with the entire process. Everything appeared clean and Chelsea seemed very knowledgeable. We talked a bit about laser hair removal, but I think I will be back to visit her. A week out and still no hair!

Great experience at the Glow Med Spa! Went for a wax and Olga did an amazing job. The soft wax (used without strips, they pull the wax itself) worked so much better then hard wax (which is what I was used to for previous waxes). They also show a lot of concern to make sure you take proper care of the area you waxed and give great tips to keep yourself smooth and bump free! I liked the results so much I booked my follow up appointment on the spot! Don’t be fooled by the exterior, this spa is great, clean (never redipped a stick), and very welcoming. And you get all that for the lowest price I have EVER paid for a brazilian. It couldn’t be better.

My brazilian wax was a wonderful experience and I Will be returning!

After reading such good reviews on Unilocal,I got a facial with Lisa on Saturday. It was incredibly relaxing, my skin looks great, and I also felt like it was a learning experience as Lisa told me what kinds of products (ingredients not brands) I should be looking for in a skincare product.
Combine all that with a light neck and shoulder massage during my facial and I’m a guaranteed repeat customer.
