We visited Karls at the new location and found it to be a nice place. White table cloths and the sound low enough that you can actually carry on a conversation with your table mates. The bar was well stocked and offered a pleasant stop before dinner. The restaurant appeared to be 60% occupied at 7:30 on a Friday night. Table service was adequate but nothing was outstanding about the service. We ordered a Cesar salad and it is very large, we could have split it. The salad was served very cold with a nice dressing. We had prime rib and it was outstanding. I order it medium rare and that is what we got. A great cut of meat was served. The sauteed spinach was excellent. Overall the dining experience will be one that we will repeat. It is nice to have Karls in Richmond.
