Knights Inn Richmond

Made reservations because it was pet friendly and inexpensive.
Pros:
1. Pet friendly.
2. Moderately priced ($ 65 for two people and one dog, with tax)
Cons:
1. Run down hardly describes it. There is a dead tree pushing up from the rusting trash dumpster in the middle of the parking lot.
2. Deserted. Got there about 5PM on a Friday and there were no other cars. There was a shirtless man standing in a room window, staring at us from across the filthy, covered up pool.
3. When I asked about the free breakfast, the owner (?) said, «Come to the office and I have doughnut for you».
4. When my wife and I saw the room, that was enough for us. It was dark, musty, looked like it hadn’t been recently cleaned, and was tiny.
I went back to the office and told him we were leaving. He can refund our money or not, it just wasn’t worth staying there.

$ 65 per night when I was there 2 years ago. Clean room. Bed was decent. Bathroom light is on a timer! I was in a hurry so I grabbed breakfast on the road. The custard place across the street is worth a try! It was Superb!

The room was clean and comfortable. A great place to sleep for the night. Breakfast was really no breakfast at all. Just 2 types of cold cereal with milk and white toast with no butter. So don’t count on anything to fill you up in the morning. They did have coffee with powdered creamer.
